On the way out making an appointment for my next visit I was presented with a bill for the total cost of the root canal . Before signing I examined the bill and noticed two charges for treatment of obstruction at $ 300 a piece . Since this procedure and charge was not discussed or mentioned during the consultation , and since it was not covered under my insurance , is beyond me . It seemed to me as if they tried to pull a fast one at the last minute and hoped I wouldn't notice . Upon questioning the charges the receptionist was unable to give me a reasonable explanation and just kept mentioning obstruction without defining what that is . I found this encounter to be very unprofessional and underhanded . So my recommendation is stay away , I would call this a rip off in plain english. And since my visit wasn't an emergency I walked out .

The infection is literally in my nerve, I call my insurance and they assure me that for a root canal they do not need an authorization as this is a medical emergency, they call the office with me on the line and also explain that ... office said they prefer to do the authorization.
