Confidently, I have recommended several friends to practice. His walk-in service is most ideal for emergencies! He and his staff have wholeheartedly restored confidence in appearance! Mae B.

I paid for extensive work at Dr. Patrick Ryan's office in 2024/2025, and my experience was…read moreultimately disappointing and left me feeling taken advantage of. The office presented A large, multi-phase treatment plan totaling $25,000. I paid over $23,000 out of pocket and allowed my dental insurance to be billed. Early in treatment, communication and transparency began to deteriorate / especially around billing and scheduling. After 1 month ( because I paid the 1st installment in May 2024 and the 2nd in June ) the pace of care slowed dramatically. The office manager insisted we were through the "halfway through" the treatment plan in order to justify requesting the 2nd half way earlier then expected. A small cavity I had pointed out multiple times was never addressed and later became way more serious, never even temporally filled in until Dr Ryan felt like getting to it. As far as implant procedures, despite the significant upfront payment between May 2024 and March 2025 when I stopped going to the office, they were barely started. I fell this lack of follow through was unacceptable, especially given the scope and cost of the treatment plan. In March 2025 I returned for a unrelated issue and underwent an extraction. After the procedure, I was unexpectedly told it would cost and additional $2200. When I asked of insurance could help, I was told the insurance " already paid" something I hadn't been informed about or authorized. At the time I stopped going to the office, I was stilled owed 5 implants and 1 root canal that had already been paid for. Once i discovered the unauthorized charges, I filed a formal complaint and chose not to return. What makes this even more troubling is that the office appeared to believe they could leverage the situation / that because I had already paid in full and was in a compromised position, I couldn't push back against the $1,500 in unauthorized insurance charges or about how they began dragging their feet on care ever since they were fully paid. For them to take advantage of a fully paid patient like this deeply unethical and unacceptable. I tried to raise these concerns directly with Dr Ryan but want not given the opportunity to speak with him. I knew this was going to be a long process and tried to remain as pleasant as possible with the entire office / but unfortunately they took my kindness for weakness, that part stings the most. If you are considering major dental work here. I strongly recommend getting detailed documentation up front and confirming what insurance is being used before treatment begins. If you have an out of network PPO plan, be especially cautious . Based on my experience, this practice may treat such coverage as an easy opportunity for excessive billing. limit access to your insurance information, and review all claims and charges carefully.

The staff was great to deal with and quite helpful. The doctor and dental hygienist were cool and made my experience very easy. I am not one that likes the dentist chair, and being that this was my first time the hygienist made me feel at ease. What made it even better, was the GREAT work she did. She cleaned my teeth like never before. AND, the best part was NO BLOOD! Yes, no bleeding from the cleaning. I was quite happy with this experience. Plenty of parking spots, and the waiting room isn't too bad.

When the insurance information did not transfer to this new office, an hour passed by to rectify the issue. So in turn, with understanding I passed my noon appointment as others went ahead. However, by 1pm I was taken into the room to take a series of xrays. Once finished i remained in another room and had a cleaning. It was now 2pm. I still had yet to see the doctor. I went in mind you for severe pain in my gum above a tooth. As time passed, it was now 245pm and still no dentist. I finally got up from the chair and exclaimed, I have to go. The doctor said she was in the middle of a surgery. So, why keep people waiting 3 hours. Acknowledge me and tell me so I dont sit there for hours. Then I was told to reschedule. They wanted to give me 2 days later.!seriously for pain. So I was told to fill a prescription when the doctor had not even seen me yet. Further why would I wait 2 days. So I was told the dentist would call me and review the xrays with me over the phone. Guess what? A day later and I am still waiting on this call. Horrible. Just Horrible. I could be dead and they completely ignore their patients. Further waiting 3 hours for a dentist is insane. Horrible experience.

Great experience with Dr. Moon!…read more Dr. Moon is a very honest and professional dentist. As a healthcare professional myself, I'm sure that I asked a ton of questions that he usually wouldn't have to answer. Dr. Moon patiently answered all of them and explained all procedures and work done as he was doing it. I had quite a bit of dental work done with him. He is a perfectionist in his work and I appreciated his attention to detail. Not only was Dr. Moon great, his assistant was also very helpful as I strategically minimized my co-pay. This was probably my best experience as a patient and I would strongly recommend Dr. Moon!

I should have known issues were inevitable when I made my first appointment, I found this place…read morebecause my insurance assigned my son here. With him being too young for a dentist yet and they take adults, I figured why not. Their front door and appointment system both say their day starts 10am. Apparently this is wrong and it's at 11am. Okay fine whatever, they were nice about it. I wasn't crazy with the dentist's bed side manner. It was very straight forward, no nonsense but no warmth to his personality. Usually this does not bother me until I went today. Now I warned them I'm not an easy patient, I hate needles and I don't do well with pain. Said it at both appointments. I never ever had a single issue at my old dentist in manhattan after 9 cavities and them using that big ass needle to numb my mouth. The ONLY reason I switched was because my insurance. Never had an issue at my Brooklyn dentist either with cavities but switched that one because I moved to jersey. Compared to my other dentist, he barely uses the topical and then goes all in with the needle. I don't give a shit how gentle you thought you were. Damn thing hurt and I lost it. Meanwhile he's like "I've never had this happen before and can't have you yelling. It makes me uncomfortable." And I'm thinking how the hell does he work on kids then? He says he's very gentle. Sure about that? I have never hit the roof like that ever. My old dentist used the same needle. I tried asking whether enough topical was on as my old dentist numbed the crap out of me but for the most part I was dismissed. I let him do the cavities he could do today and said no way to the deep clean on the top right because I'm not going to do 1/4 of my mouth and go home. He didn't feel comfortable with my response to my pain so the bottom right was out. So when I declined the deep clean, he goes how he already gave me the numbing crap for the top. I declined anyway and he goes "have a good day" quickly and walks out immediately whether I had a response or not. Um ok? I will not be returning to a place where I'm just a faceless patient on the schedule and my son will not be going here ever. Two stars for the very nice staff/assistants and very clean office. But I'd rather pay out of pocket in the city for quality dentistry than sit and cry in a chair in pain. I love how he says it's not my fault but leaves and doesn't come back until I'm done being upset. No compassion whatsoever. I find it very hard to believe none of your patients ever get that upset.
