I've heard rumours that this place is mediocre, at best. The classes are inconsistent, you don't feel like you're getting a good workout, the instructors are under trained and don't really know what their doing, their customer service is really bad, etc. So I saw this Groupon and figured it was a good, cheap and non-committal way to see for myself.
So I bought the groupon, set up an account to book the classes, which it wouldn't let me do w/o going through the link on the groupon, so i typed in that link, which routed me to the same place, tried signing up again, it wouldn't let me. I must've done this 20 times. I tried calling EHS numerous times, no answer, left voicemails, nobody called me back. Then I got an email from EHS over my birthday with a birthday promotion for a free class or something...The Groupon expired. I called again a few weeks after the expiration and to my shock and awe, the phone was answered. I told her about the problems I had had trying to sign up for the classes and was incredibly disappointed in her severe LACK of customer service. She treated me like an idiot telling me I had to go through the link on the Groupon to sign up for the classes and that I must've been doing it wrong bc they had customers from the Groupon come in, blah, blah. I told her that I had called numerous times and there was no answer and she sounded like she didn't believe me...I asked her if she would honor the Groupon still bc of the mistake/miscommunication, whatever you want to call it, and about the email I had gotten on my birthday. She said she'd ask the owner but she thought that it would be the standard 'value of the Groupon' and she wasn't sure about the birthday promotion bc they "only give those out to established clients, and you must've just gotten that by mistake for enrolling to sign up for classes, but let me talk to the owner." WOW, okay, I was so turned off at this place before the phone call was even over.
So she calls back and tells me just that - she spoke to the owner who said she would NOT honor the Groupon, just the value paid, and they weren't going to let me use the birthday promotion AT ALL. Their customer service values go right to the top, folks, and I evidently they are too successful to need customer acquisition.
The rumours I've heard are true, and my money isn't green enough.
