UPDATE: it's now Dec 2 and still HAVE NOT heard from Ehrlich. I have filed with the Better Business Bureau and they have already reached out to me. Ehrlich has said multiple times they would call within 48hrs and have not. They have blatantly lied over and over again. I just got off the phone with the collections agency company and they have been way more helpful than Ehrlich. They have records showing that we canceled over a year ago and aren't sure why Ehrlich would send them anything to do with our canceled account. After this is resolved we will be taking legal action. They tried multiple times to rip us off by sending bills for services never rendered. Unfortunately for them, there is a fantastic attorney living under the same roof. UPDATE PART 2 today: ARM Solutions just called and they have taken care of the problem. They have been super helpful and were the only ones interested in helping us. Ehrlich used to be a great company with local small town service. Ever since being acquired their service has gone down the drain. We've been a customer for almost 30 years, and were always very satisfied. We used to get a phone call to set up our quarterly appointment, now they just show up and trying to reschedule is almost impossible. I give this company three stars still because many of the same technicians are still employed there, and they are fantastic. That being said, I'm going to leave this company and look for a locally owned company to take over. The scheduling now is just a nightmare and it's too difficult to deal with any longer. read more

Total reap off. Installed whole termite system and bought the maintenance service. Which supposed to check the baits quarterly. After three wears of having these service we just found termite damage and activity in the basement. Ask someone else to check baits and all were untouched. Asked before about termite activity and they said they were no signs of termite activity at all. However, we found termite. This company is likely the worst vendor I have worked with since being in the property management and real estate business. I hired this company to do the pest-control at one of my rental properties. My tenant reported on a number of occasions that they had not shown up for the month yet I was billed. It took many hours on the phone trying to get this worked out before I got frustrated to the point of threatening to cancel working with them. After I thought that issue was taken care of their billing department is an absolute nightmare. I sent the payments through the normal automatic bill pay using Bank of America. I received one check back saying that I had already paid an invoice. Believing that this was already paid we went about our business. I was later sent a notice saying I had not paid and trying to charge late fees. I called and I emailed with their AP department. I explained and even sent photos of the check and letter they sent back to me. But they didn't want to hear this. I got to the point where I just told them to send my account to collections. Their accounting and customer service is horrible. In the end all of this over $168. They could have solved their mistake with good service and wiped out the $168 and kept the account and a monthly stream of revenue. I had planned to bring on another 5 properties which would have substantially increased the business they did with my company. read more

The absolute worst experience! scheduled for a same day service for a pest emergency. No Call No Show!! I called multiple times that day for updates and was strung along all day until 5 pm - a complete saturday wasted waiting around. No call back Sunday or Monday. I call Monday and no one could assist me in canceling my service stating I would need to call back. this happened TWICE! A complete cluster of an operation. Ever since Ehrlich was acquired , it has become a poorly run company. I called to reschedule a service and was on the phone for 8 minutes and could not get the agent to reschedule. I called today and again got a customer service representative- because you cannot reach the local office, which I was able to do before, and she found that the company had rescheduled me without calling to see if that was okay with me-I then had to cancel that appointment and reschedule. The fact that I cannot talk to the local company is frustrating and I will be looking for another more local company. read more

Had a swarm of insects two days ago from a window well. Couldn't figure out if they were termites or some species of ants. Ehrlich sent Chris, an inspector, who studied the insects I captured and the photos I took. They were ants, and not a species of ants that cause structural or any other damage. Chris then examined my basement, attic, kitchen and foundation for any signs of problematic pests. All for free. He was very professional, and very polite. read more

I have called 7 times and when a technician finally called me and promised to come out ASAP, turns out he was from IOWA, and I'm in Maryland. Squirrels in attic. They put up a trap and after 5 days, the squirrels were still there. Then they want to charge the same fee to put up a trap for another 5 days. What kind of service scam is this? If they can't get rid of squirrels, you have to pay over and over again? There is no guarantee of service. Also, the workers walked up in the attic and their weight damaged the drywall ceiling of the floor below. Thankfully their insurance covered it. What a friggin' mess. The man came i and within 5 minutes, quickly sprayed and was gone. Did not even tell us his name. Since he left so quickly, we have had 3 more roaches come out. We were told not to use the spray that we had on hand, but no advice on what to use now that they are all coming out... not happy with this service at all. read more

Absolutely dreadful, these people are incompetent at best and crooks at worst. I had cockroaches in my apartment for 6 months with Ehrlich coming in every week to "treat" the problem. Despite me keeping my apartment spotlessly clean the roaches never went away until my building management switched to Orkin and within a week the roaches were gone and never returned. Ehrlich is so bad I almost wonder if they deliberately did a poor job so the pests would stay and their services would continue to be needed? Useless either way! read more

Run away!!! They promised us the world, then charged us for a mosquito treatment and admitted they never performed the service for 3 months in a row.. Ok, then give us a refund.. "we have to get the local office's permission." Three weeks and five calls later nothing.. local office never returns calls and bills for services not preformed.. I have been very pleased with Erlich ever since I started using them. The customer service is friendly and helpful. The technician is usually the same on every visit and have been professional, prompt and neat. The annual service deal is great and includes preventative and additional visits as needed. We called Ehrlich to our home in May 2019 to get a free estimate to treat for carpenter bees. The service rep told us he couldn't help because the bees were in the wood near the roof (2 story home) and his local company manager had recently told them they weren't allowed to carry ladders on their trucks (he didn't have one with him that day) and weren't allowed to use them on the job. We thanked him for his time and he left. A month later, in June, we received a bill for $219.35 for the treatment that wasn't done. We called and had them remove the charges. In October, five months after our initial contact, we discovered our credit card had been charged $219.35. We called again and were told this charge was to cover a yearly services plan. We did NOT sign up for this service and did NOT authorize the credit card charge. It is now February 2020. We have called the company six times since October in an effort to have them refund the $219.35 they stole from us. Each time we've been told the refund has to be cleared by the district manager and someone at the corporate level and that it should just take "a few more days". It has been four months and eight days. We're now pursuing legal action. Do NOT use this company! If you feel you must use them, then pay with a check or cash and check your credit card statements monthly for unauthorized charges. read more

I had the worst customer service of my life with Ehrlich pest control billing department. I had a past due balance because of an issue with their new payment portal. The representative called me and informed me of the past due balance. I informed her of the issue I was having. She told me that their new portal was better, she was cancelling my service, and sending me to collections. She then ended the call. I received call backs from other representatives that explained the issues I was having in a reasonable manner. I paid the balance in full, of course, since I had been with them for 10 years. However, I chose not to reinstate service. A company that would allow a representative to behave in such a manner in an industry where the service model is exactly the same does not value their customer base. There are a million pest control companies that offer the same product and services. The only differentiating factor is how people feel after interacting with the company. I did not feel valued as a longtime customer and will be seeking services elsewhere. read more

We called the police and it turns out the technician has had other, similar complaints in the past. All those complaints were from elderly women living alone. Terrible! Actually no stars. I signed up for the mosquito control service. First visit was fine. Downhill from there. In July, they were scheduled to come while we were on vacation. I called when I returned home to see if they had actually done the service. I was told that they did. However, I have a Ring Doorbell and nothing showed on the video on the date and time that they said they were here. I began to see mosquitoes, so called and was told that I was scheduled for service on August 13th. That day came and went with no service. I called again and they said that I was never scheduled for that day, but was scheduled for August 27th. Again, no evidence that they came, but they charged my card for the fee. I have continued to see mosquitoes. Literally, everyone in my family has been bit. I called again today to see if they had actually performed the service and was told that they did and that they don't leave a receipt because of COVID, that they email everything. She then told me that my Email wasn't on file. ???? I told them about the mosquitoes and that they either had not serviced us or that their chemicals were completely ineffective. She told me that since I was scheduled for September 10th, if they came back out, they would charge me again. I am pretty sure that I paid for 2 services that were not performed. We have been using Ehrlich for over 2 years and could not be happier. Arnold is absolutely top notch. His willingness to work around our schedule with sick kids, unexpected events, or even just when I absolutely forget is unbelievably helpful. He is always thorough and takes the time to not only explain what he is doing but also educate you on what is "common" for the time of year. Calling with an issue in between services is never a problem and Arnold is always willing to get us in ASAP or offer solutions we can try while we are waiting! Had a contract for 1 yr didn't want to continue because they would show up when no one was home and no service was being completed. They started calling me and threatening to send to collections for the 2nd year. Finally I gave in and paid for a full year in advance ($537). I then scheduled a tech for today. It was set up for 7-9am. When 8am rolled around they claimed tech would be here by noon. I called again and now they said contract was cancelled ?!?!? WTH. I have been with this company for 5 years. Today that changed. I made an appointment and was told that someone would be out 8 to 12. At 1215 I called to see what the status was. I was told that since this was a tech not in my area that he would be out sometime after 5 or he could do tomorrow. First, why didn't someone call me this morning and tell me that after being told an eta of 8 to 12. I asked for a supervisor which there is not one to speak too. Was told they would contact me in 15 minutes. An hour and a half went by still counting and no one has called me. In that hour in a half I found a new company. Things have went downhill since my regular tech Joe left the company. I will not suggest this company to anyone. Stay away! read more

The inspector was prompt and very friendly. However he said he couldn't tell me for sure if we had termites or not. That is why we called him. He said we could benefit from pest control, and he would write up a proposal and bring it to my house the next day. That was 2 weeks ago and we haven't heard from them since. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. This has to be the worst company I have worked with. I paid over $200 for them to check the attic to see if there were mice. They laid down some basic traps and never checked on them again. The guy cam back a next time to spray the house for seasonal maintenance and told me the traps were fine and didn't need to be changed. I had to call to schedule for them to patch up openings on the roof so more mice didn't get in. They never showed up and when I called they said my appointment never made it on to the schedule. Second time, no show. Third time they told me the date was different, but I know it wasn't. The 4th time they said someone came out but the job was meant for a roofer and they couldn't do it. I have a ring doorbell, and was home all day. No one ever showed up. I called to cancelled and the guy said I would get a confirmation email and that a supervisor was contact me about my concerns. No one called me and my service wasn't cancelled. I called a week later and finally I received and email saying my service was cancelled, yet no one has reached out to me about my concerns. Do not work with these people. They are scammers!! read more

Horrible company and service. I spent hundreds of dollars on rodent removal service and all they did was toss poison in the attic and put one large glue trap, didn't even go up to look around. Then a few weeks later I come home to holes in the ceiling. I call again to get them to set traps and to find out where they are coming in. I schedule an appointment, take off work, and the tech calls me 30 minutes before he is scheduled to be at my house to tell me they don't have any traps and there was nothing he could do for the next week! The technicians who came to our home were great. They accomplished the job well and effectively. However, Ehrlich (Baltimore) never answered a phone call. Messages left were not returned. Thus, I cancelled our relationship with this company. Fully three months after such cancellation they continue to bill me. Even after three phone calls to their headquarters in Reading, PA they continue to bill me. Even after their agents say, "Yes, your account is closed" they continue to bill me. read more

We live in a row home in the city and like everyone in the city we had a mice problem. We called around and settled on Ehrlich to come out and they sent out a technician. He was professional, thorough, and knowledgable and really made me feel like he could solve the problem. Excellent service so far from both from the phone rep who scheduled the appointment and tech who applied the treatment. I scheduled Ehrlich to perform a Termite Inspection in my home as we are selling the home and the buyers wanted the inspection. I scheduled the appointment 2 weeks before closing so I would have plenty of time to get the report. They would only give me a 3 hr window. I patiently waited between 1PM and 4PM and when know one called or showed up by 4PM I called them. They said the Tech is running late and he would be there in about an hour. He did eventually show up and performed the inspection. When I told him I needed a report for a real estate transaction he said that wasn't what was scheduled. I informed him it was and that I told that to the person who scheduled the appointment. He said they would have to charge for that inspection and I agreed to pay. He told me they would bill me. Two weeks later and multiple calls and emails to this company and I still do not have a report. Two days now before closing and now I have to hire another company to do what they should have gotten right to begin with. Do not waste your time with this company. There is no accountability for anything they do. The company that ended up re-doing the inspection gave me a report at the completion of the inspection and emailed me another copy. Only had a 1/2 hr window to wait. Call Senate instead. read more

My technician has always been professional, knowledgeable, and successful in treating my pest problems. He knows I get squeamish about rodents and bugs and does a great job to address my concerns and erase my fears. read more

i scheduled an inspection with erlich. the service technician, thor johnson, was very professional and courteous. he was also very knowledgeable. he did the inspection and gave a number of suggestions for prevention and what to watch for in the future. he also explained the options for treatment but WITHOUT the hard sell. i really appreciate this approach and would hire them in the future. read more

We had bed bugs at our rental property and the tenants contracted Ehrlich to resolve the problem in June. The unit stayed vacant for two months after it was treated three times by Ehrlich. They charged $850 to treat the entire house. The last treatment was in the beginning of August. In September, new tenants moved in. In November, the 6 month pregnant tenant reported that she was being bitten by something at the property. She reported this right outside of their warranty period and they would not offer to treat for free, despite us paying so much for treatment. Obviously, we did not advertise the unit as previously having bed bugs which had we she may had reported this to us sooner, but for many reasons we did not - one being that we thought Ehrlich resolved this issue or would indicate that future treatments may be needed. We have to pay a realtor to rent our property. Now, our tenant is now moving out in the hardest time of the year to re-rent. We look bad as a landlord. We contacted after the tenant explained she would be moving out and Ehrlich sent someone out to inspect who reported that there weren't bed bugs. We called another company who confirmed that there were bed bugs and even took a picture for proof. Ehrlich said all they could do was treat for $250 with no warranty. In my opinion, they were very expensi ve with little results. They also obviously do not care about good customer service because most people like to choose a company they can rely and depend on, so why would they push landlords away from a pest company? We are the ones who will refer these services the most! Highly disappointed and very upset that this is happening right before the holidays. Lots of money to throw away. read more

Hired Ehrlich Pest Control to removed carpenter bees from my house. Technicians shows up promptly as scheduled. Technician spray effected areas. Provides me with a lot of useful information. Many bees leave the area effected however, not all. Called the technician back after a couple of weeks for another application. (no charge). So far so good. I'm pretty impressed so far. More bees depart, again, not all. Wait a couple of weeks and call technician again and left voicemail. Waited for response but none came. After waiting a few more weeks for a response I called the company to ask for another application because the problem still existed. I was told that I would have to pay another $185 for another application. I objected on the grounds that the original problem has not yet been resolved. I was told he would contact the local rep and to expect a call them him. Never received the call. No I'm pissed. I paid for a service never completely resolved the original issue. Whatever happened to customer service and work warrantees. Will never call this company again for anything. read more
