I call him the BAT MAN. I am a bit late with my review, and for that I apologize to other customers because this is the very best place to call when you have a pest issue. Marc, the owner does a lot of the work himself, and all of the investigating to see what unwanted critters are in or around your home. Marc is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the ins and outs of pests that decide your home is theirs. and that was very helpful, as I was a bit freaked out. In our case it was BATS! We found a dead baby bat in our basement. Apparently it was the time of year when Mom's have the bat kids IN OUR ATTIC, and one had dropped through from the attic to our basement right by our furnace. Marc and his crew were able to accomplish the entire job of cleaning the attic out of old insulation, and replacing with blown-in new insulation in one day as I have health issues. They did so much more than that and I am forever grateful to them. The crew was excellent as well, and they were very kind, and respectful. If you are one who freaks out about critters, and you want an excellent, experienced, thorough job done please call At Once Pest Control. I had four very active, very noisy squirrels nesting in my ceiling that were driving me up a wall. Facing the fact that it was either me or them, the Love of My Life called At Once to see if they could help. They were, indeed, the Chuck Norris of pest control. Those little rodents were trapped as neat as you please. Three of them were removed swiftly, while the fourth unfortunately froze itself to death in the trap during the last snow/ice event. I was perfectly content to let it remain in the trap and disintegrate, just like in Renaissance England with the heads on pikes. Sort of a grisly warning to the neighborhood squirrels: hey, this could be YOU up here. At Once, however, nixed that plan and came out to get rid of it. 7 days of monitoring and removal, a year's guarantee, and less than 600 dollars overall. Short version: Mark Cohen and his team were phenomenal and I will never choose another pest control company. Long version: My wife and I rent out our guest bedroom and recently discovered bed bugs on the mattress. After reading about how resilient these bugs are, we knew the only option was heat treatment. We called Orkin first (big mistake), and I took the day off work to meet them. Of course, they never showed up. I looked again and found At Once Pest Control. I talked to Mark Cohen and he agreed to come out that night to do an inspection. He confirmed that I had found bed bugs and gave me a quote for heat treatment. His quote was very reasonably priced, so I set up a time to have the treatment done. My wife and I had just bought a house and were going to be moving within two weeks, so we scheduled to do the treatment and immediately load our belongings onto a moving truck. This is where I was really shocked by the superb level of customer service Mark's team provided. Not only did they heat treat our room and furniture throughout the day, they even helped me load my furniture onto the moving truck that evening. Mark even brought out an extra employee who had previously worked as a mover to help. I was so impressed that I asked Mark to treat my new house for a mouse problem that the previous tenants had cultivated. He spent several hours scouring the house for holes the mice could use to enter, filling them, and laying out poison baits. Once again, he went above and beyond when he noticed that there were likely rats in the back yard. He didn't have the equipment with him, but offered to treat them at a later time for no extra cost. We have been extremely pleased with At Once Pest Control and have used them at our primary residence as well as rental property on several occasions. We used to have a contract with a national exterminator; however, grew sick of their up-charges for the many items 'not covered.' I regret calling this company. They charged me $550 for putting out a few mice traps in the attic and sealing a couple of cracks. No guarantee on the work done, no second visit. After their guy left, my ceiling fan stopped working. The owner came, checked the attic, denied any wrongdoing and recommended his friend, an electrician, who could come and check it and he would take responsibility if that was the electrician's conclusion. When talking with his friend over the phone, he already told him that it was not his company's fault. The owner is plain weird. My 11-year-old daughter was sleeping in that bedroom with a non-working fan, and I told the owner that she is sleeping there and closed the door after he observed the fan. When he called his friend, be barged into the bedroom again and literally screamed into his phone next to the sleeping child. He didn't check the fan again, he was just looking at it and yelling, it took about 5 minutes. It was creepy, ridiculous and rude. His friend asked $150 just for coming, the work would be extra. So I called a different electrician who found out that their tech turned off the switch located in the attic. I paid $35 to fix this company's mistake and didn't call them for compensation, I wasn't sure they would either remember me or accept a different electrician. I feel very much ripped off. Putting out a few mice traps - one visit and no guarantee - is not worth $550. And they are not professional, from the electricity issue - caused it and denied it - to the barging into the bedroom where a girl is sleeping, after seeing that she was there, without any reason and yelling next to her... Dan, Marc, Alex, and Shelley were all really nice and thorough during the 2-day project at our home. We had rodents in our crawl space and attic and they did exclusion all along the perimeter and took care of the rodents we had inside. Unlike many reviews which are written days after treatment, this review is being written four months after treatment to accurately assess its efficacy. To summarize, our bed bug problem has been resolved, and I am very happy with the level of service and cost given by At Once Pest Control! The details: I live in a two-story rowhome and suspect bed bugs had managed to lodge themselves between floors. As a result, it was very difficult to find signs of them. Gary from At Once Pest Control came to my home and spent about 90 minutes very diligently looking for them and found a couple in some very unlikely places. He then listed a number of treatment options ranging from chemical-only to whole house heat treatment. In the end, I selected the full chemical - full dust - partial heat (2 BR only) treatment, which he had offered for a VERY reasonable price. (It was only marginally more expensive than a chemical-only treatment from a lot of other companies I called.) A few days later, Gary and his colleague showed up and performed the treatment, which took the better part of a day. Gary also explained to me what the various types of chemicals were, how they performed versus alternative chemicals, and steps I could take to prevent future occurrence. While I hope no one ever has to undergo the nightmare of bed bugs, my experience with At Once was excellent. read more

I was entering my home when I saw part of a snake including the head hanging from underneath the siding and then quickly disappear inside the siding. I was concerned that the snake would get into my basement, so I called several wildlife control companies until I found At Once Pest Control that could come out the same day to catch the snake. Marc Cohen did a fantastic job of finding a 4-foot-long black snake crawling along the basement interior wall behind the insulation. I have used Mark since 2007 for several different issues. I did a rehab in 2007 and the house had horrible roaches. There were actually roaches in the refrigerator. That is how horrible the conditions where. Thanks to Mark problem hard work the was solved. I also have a rowhouse with a garden area close to a commercial area. Rats really like nesting in the garden. I keep a contract with At Once for controlling this situation. They come out a couple of times a year when the rats are active.
