We had a great experience working with EHD Builders. From start to finish, the team was professional, organized, and highly responsive. The project was completed on time and within budget, and the quality of work exceeded our expectations. Communication was clear throughout the entire process, and any questions or concerns were addressed promptly. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled contractor. read more

I did not have a great experience with EHD Builders, whom I hired to redo the coping around my pool and stain my outdoor bar area. I hired them because they had great reviews, despite being pricier than some of the other estimates I received. Once the project commenced, there were significant delays at the beginning of the project because the supplier was out of the prefabricated coping that I selected. We opted instead to have a subcontractor pour the cement. The result was coping that is the wrong color from what I selected and has already began cracking. I wanted the pool coping to match the bar area. Instead, I have a pink/grey coping around my pool that clashes with my brown/gold bar and the other areas in my backyard with cement that is also brownish gold. The color mismatch is on top of the fact that they damaged some of the tile around the pool and replaced it with tile that did not match. To add insult to injury, the bar was also not stained properly and EHD accused me of cleaning it with harsh chemicals and ruining the finish. Ultimately, EHD agreed to have the subcontractor restain the bar after I sent photos showing that the bar had been used by the workmen tasked with pouring the cement to eat their lunch. To be clear, there were no harsh chemicals used to clean the bar, but the fact that I (the owner) was accused of damaging the bar as opposed to them taking ownership of the fact that the stain looked terrible was characteristic of my dealings with them. Even after the restaining, the surface of the bar now has a white cast and uneven stain throughout. Finally, they broke the bolts on my diving board when they removed it to lay the cement around the pool. When they realized their error, they claimed that the bolts broke after they tried to reinstall the board because the bolts were rusted. Of course, I had photos showing that the bolts were broken when the board was uninstalled initially, so they agreed that they would order new bolts to install the diving board. They never did. In the end, the company refused to fix their errors. I had to hire someone else to reinstall my diving board and I will have to pay additional expenses to have someone come out to fix my coping, which doesn't match any of the other concrete in my backyard. I reached out one last time to give them an opportunity to fix this issue. Their response was that the color of the cement (a pinkish gray) was the color that I picked out (autumn gold) and they offered me a discount on the remainder of the payment due. So to be clear - they ruined my backyard, and instead of refunding my money, requested additional payment for work that doesn't meet professional standards and is contrary to what I hired them to do. The poor workmanship, the gaslighting, the lying...If I could give zero stars, I would. read more

We hired EHD after interviewing several companies to put a new pool in our backyard. To say we are impressed is an understatement. After two weeks we already have the pool with coping and tile. What we assumed would be a 2 month project, looks like will be done in 4 weeks with new pavers turf and water. We cannot thank Yaniv and the team at EHD for their attention to details and communication! read more

I did two jobs through EHD. First, replacement of 50-yearold brick patios and walkways with pavers. I was tired of tripping over the places the brick had become a roller coaster. That was a huge job with a very large area to be done. The second job was to replace a fence that had blown down during the Altadena fire and wind storm. Both jobs were executed perfectly, and they make my home look new! The jobs were managed by Tommy Marudi, and he did a great job making sure all my concerns were met and the jobs were completed as I expected. You have a very happy customer! I'll contact you for the next job! read more

Overall they were great. Informative and helpful. The proposal was just a bit out of my price range

They did a fantastic job on our driveway! Couldn't be happier. Their pricing was reasonable, and they were very flexible to get the project done on our timeline. I've already recommended them to several of our neighbors who loved what it looked like! read more

Working with EHD Builders in building our new home has been an outstanding experience from start to finish. The quality of the home speaks for itself, but what truly sets this company apart from other high end builders is the level of care and involvement from the owners, Yaniv and Eric. Their commitment to quality did not end at the closing as they remain actively engaged, checking in regularly and making sure everything continues to run perfectly even after our being in the home for over 6 months. Any time an issue came up, they responded immediately and handled it to resolution with total professionalism. It is rare to find builders who are this knowledgeable, this accessible, and this invested in the client's long-term satisfaction. I could not recommend them more highly. read more

We recently converted our 2 car garage to an ADU. EHD was easy to work with from vision to completion. Our plans sailed through the city planning office and we never had an issue with inspections. EHD stuck to a time schedule and everything went as planned. The team that works for EHD are experts. Attention to detail was as important to us as it was to them. We do not hesitate to recommend EHD to anyone considering converting space to a functional ADU! Our thanks to Eric and his team for helping us create a perfect ADU. read more

Yaniv and his work crew built a new 790 sq ft paver patio, two planter beds, paved the walk on the side of my house, installed a drainage system, and installed a lighting system... in three days! I love how the patio and lighting looks, and the drainage system worked like a charm when the recent atmospheric river hit. Like with any construction project, I had to keep a close eye on the work and be very clear about what I wanted and about any questions or concerns I had. Sometimes I had to jump in and give direction on some particular details, and at the end of the project there was a punch list that we went through and the team promptly addressed. All of this is typical of any construction project, in my experience. Overall, the quality and speed of the crew's work was top-notch and I enjoyed working with Yaniv. I still can't believe how quickly they finished the project. Yaniv had helpful suggestions and was very responsive. His attitude and attentiveness was consistent from the bid stage through the work stage. And very importantly, the bid was reasonably priced, clearly broken down into line items, and pointed out cost saving opportunities, for example by hiring my own electrician or by reusing an existing transformer. I'm keeping EHD Builders in mind for future work! read more

We redid our whole backyard (including putting in a pool) this summer. Yaniv & his team did an incredible job from start to finish. We worked on many questions, and design changes due to permits or choices throughout the process and his team patiently worked with us on it. They are very upfront about the costs and work with you where you want adjustments. Yaniv and Offir checked in daily on the project and were very responsive over text messages & phone. We were recommended to them by a bunch of our neighbors and we do the same to anyone who asks for a reference for a dependable, high-quality contractor. read more

Yaniv and the team did great work. The whole job was done in two weeks. He had great ideas and we had solid communication here at my home. Some of the communication over the phone was a bit tough at times (especially over text). Estimate was great and they can really do whatever you ask them to. They were very upfront on cost, the guys worked crazy hard, and we absolutely love our new space. Just waiting on furniture to be delivered! Highly recommend them for whatever project you have. Over the course of 5 years, my family undertook a home remodel and we did a portion every 10 months or so. Each time we started a project we went out to 3 bids. Each time, EHD won the bid. But they didn't just win on price, which was always in the bottom half of the quotes, they won on consistency of work quality and because they were easy to work with. Yaniv and his crew were eager to tie up loose ends and wrap up "punch list" items with their positive attitude and collaborative approach. But most importantly? These are the guys you don't mind having in your house to get the work done while you're going about your own life. They were affable, efficient and dedicated! We ultimately hired them for every project but they earned every one. In an industry full of uncertainly and worry for homeowners when it comes to time, cost and disruption, these guys gave us piece of mind and stress levels low - about the cost, quality and coordination of doing a hoime remodel. That is possibly the greatest endorsement I can give a contractor who needs to do work in an occupied home. - Matt read more

I have become queen of my land. I walk around my property on my new pavers, passing through my new gates and rest in my throne in my backyard BBQ area. And at night, my queendom is lit up with motion sensor lights, garden lights and lights built into the new front porch pavers. I feel safe and secure. Eyal, Aron, Erev, Yaniv and their crew were with me every step of the way. I know that this company went above and beyond for me. Prior to hiring them, I had someone pave my side yard. What a mess! So despite the money I spent on that, I had EHD remove the cement and replace with beautiful pavers. The bottom line is that I could not be happier. It's hard to describe the feelings that are evoked when I look around and see the end result of all of their hard work. My house is now my home. All because of EHD. Thank you. read more

EHD was incredible. We needed our backyard/driveway to be demo'd and then a Pennsylvania blue stone laid down, with some quart-yard steps built and tiled. They did an incredible job and were very communicative on the timeline. Avi was our main project manager and he was very knowledgeable and attentive. We also communicated with Aaron on days Avi was not available which made the entire project run smoothly. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and the customer service. Let me start by saying this company knew their trade. I needed to push back the wall to be able to open up the space so we can pull into the drive way by the side of the house. They completed the work in 3.5 days without delays. They were able to find the exact kind of pavers to match the existing ones. Left the work area clean and organized. Very impressed with their work and even more impressed by the excellent customer service and management. Thank you Yaniv from EHD Builders. read more

Working with EHD was a really wonderful experience. We'd hired some other shady contractors for a back yard project and had a half finished job, and contacted EHD to finish it because they had done a back wall for us that was a breeze. EHD was able to come in and finish it quickly and without any hassle. And it looks perfect now! Etty is amazing and incredibly communicative, and we always knew we could reach out to her for help or any questions. These guys were stellar from start to finish. We had them renovate our backyard, remove grass, and add pavers and astroturf. Oshri told us it would take 1-2 weeks to complete this project, but then 5 guys came out and the project was done in literally 48 hours! A+ job. Cleaned up nicely afterward. Great communication throughout. Take a peek at the before and after photos. 10/10 would highly reccommend. read more

EHD saved my backyard and driveway. It was a pleasure working with Eric. He rescued my project after a disastrous experience with my previous contractor who left my yard and driveway a pile of uneven dirt and debris. And being out quite a bit of money. I first hired EHD for my driveway. Price was good, work was well done, and they finished very quickly. Based on that, I then hired EHD for my backyard. Eric worked with my now reduced budget, and the result speaks for itself. The pavers, turf and Alumawood patio cover were put in beautifully, and the project was again finished very quickly. This review is long overdue. EHD Builders transformed my very old 2 car garage into an amazing ADU/guesthouse that if I didn't have way too much stuff I'd move into in a flash. A friend of mine used EHD to build her ADU and the work they did was stellar -- so good that I finally put off making the decision to convert my garage. I spoke to 3 different contractors before choosing EHD. Besides just having a good feeling about Eric and seeing the work they did for my friend, Eric was the only contractor who gave me a firm, no nonsense quote for the work. The other contractors were vague about the costs and didn't seem all that interested in answering my questions in any meaningful way. Once their architect did an initial drawing of the ADU, Eric and I worked together to make a great plan which turned into it into a truly wonderful little house. Although there were a few delays, they were all caused by Covid and city offices being closed and overwhelmed, or suppliers waiting for delayed deliveries. The crew and subcontractors who worked on the project were all very professional and did very high quality work. Eric, Yaniv or their project manager were here virtually every day that work was being performed and answered my questions or addressed my concerns and changes without hesitation, and they dealt diplomatically with fussy neighbors. Eric and Yaniv are both truly nice people and true professionals. They dealt with me fairly and professionally in all respects. The results of their work are incredible. read more
