Me, my husband and my folks went to this location after running some errands nearby. Jazz was the hostess and she promptly greeted us with a smile and sat us. Turned out she was our waitress as well. She did an awesome job taking great care of us. We placed our order and everything arrived fairly fast. She topped us off with refills and made sure we were happy. We were and the food did not disappoint. My biscuits and gravy were top notch! My husband's breakfast burrito was delicious. My mom got biscuits & gravy too, she loved them. My dad's breakfast got finished so fast I couldn't tell you what he got but he definitely liked it. Going back to the beginning though, Jazz made this experience exceptional. This was my first time trying eggs up grill in South Carolina. I was pleasantly surprised that this was a franchise because the place had a very nice homie brunch feel. I gotta say the food was delicious. I love the potatoes. It had a little Kick to them. I actually ended up ordering a side of potatoes because they were so good. I do wish they had alternative milk like oat milk because their coffee looks amazing. I just can't digest dairy that well. Looking back I should've just gotten the coffee because I did get an eggs Benedict and it has dairy in it. The rest of my group had the bacon and eggs, the shrimp and grits. Unfortunately I couldn't get a picture in. It was eaten up so fast, it was very delicious. I think the shrimp and grits was actually the most popular menu item. I'm afraid that Eggs Up Grill has succumbed to the popular practice of starting out overwhelmingly impressive to becoming overwhelmingly horrible! When this cafe(?) first opened I gave them a try and was pleasantly impressed with the atmosphere as well as the food presentation and the fantastic tasting food. Fast forward a year and I went to the same establishment and received the most horrible tasting food and a devil may care attitude to the plate presentation. After spending $24.99 for an omelette with runny juices, grits with shredded cheddar cheese that possessed an unfamiliar taste and smell, the sausage patties were undoubtedly cooked prior to my order, and French toast that were placed on the container without being sliced and having powdered sugar sprinkled on the top after explicitly being asked to withhold it. Oh, how I wished for an Egg McMuffin that would have saved me $21.00. Unfortunately, today was an effort to treat myself and to be by myself enjoying a well deserved breakfast instead this turned a "Me" day into a sad day. They were busy, a steady flow of customers coming in and out of the door. Surprisingly, the wait was not long at all. We waited about 5 minutes before being seated.
