my boyfriend and i tried this place based off the reviews and we unfortunately didn't get the same experience. we both got the all-american breakfast and our hash browns seemed like they were cooked the day before... the turkey bacon was seemingly old as well - i've included a picture of a portion that is dry like paper, hard and undesirable. the eggs and jelly were my favorite things about my meal. my boyfriend got a waffle with his, and there was only 3/4 of the waffle in the box? i'm unsure if this was intentional but if so, im still unclear as to why the meal is $14 for the quality and quantity we received. wouldn't recommend this place and we won't be going back. read more

In Dallas on business and looking for somewhere to grab breakfast. Google coughed up a lot of the same recommendations that I would find anywhere in the state or country for that matter. But Eggdaddy happened to be close by. After giving the menu online a quick once over, I decided to give it a try and I'm quite glad I did. When I pulled up, I noticed that it looked very new and that there were signs announcing that they were hiring and saying something about a soft opening. When I walked in, it smelled delicious! The decor was charming, and included two booths in the shape of giant eggs. Russ, the owner/manager, immediately greeted me and offered to explain the menu but I told him I was ready to go. I placed my order and Russ gave me a number and told me to pick a table. When he discovered I was in town on business, he directed me to a specific booth that had a power outlet and told me I was welcome to set up a mobile office. I ordered the double decker breakfast taco in a flour tortilla and the Tex-Mex in corn. Both arrived quickly, we're hot, an extremely delicious. If I had a gripe, oddly it would be that the tacos were overfilled. Considering the flavor and quality of the food, these still would have been an excellent value if they were 25% smaller. I also had the mango apricot agua fresca and found it to be extremely tasty and pair perfectly with my breakfast. Russ told me that this restaurant is a proof of concept. I would have to say that the proof is rock solid, Russ. Folks, you need to get into Eggdaddy and have yourself a great breakfast to start your day. With any luck at all, Eggdaddy will spread across the state of Texas and spill over into the rest of the country. I know I want one in San Diego! read more

I was super excited about trying Eggdaddy after seeing so many IG posts. On my 1st visit, I waited an hour to get the Mother Smucker's. I thought I was just moody after waiting as a solo dinner for a waffle sandwich. It was a little too sweet and didn't feel me up. I sat at the "bar" area, and the cooks worked extremely hard to get all the orders out. Initially, I placed my order to go and was told the wait would be 20 minutes. When a seat opened at the bar, I asked to dine in. On the 2nd visit, I went on a weekday, and it was more relaxed, and the food came out fast. I can't describe it, but the All-American wasn't all that! It needs seasoning... salt, pepper, or something. So cute! I was so excited to try Eggdaddy. It's only 15 minutes away from where I live. My husband and I went on a Sunday. There was no traffic and no wait. I love the egg shaped entrance and painting on the wall. You walk in and place your order which freaked me out considering we had never been. No worries though the owner? Or manager? Was there to help. He made sure we knew exactly what to order and offered a variety of options. He continued to do so for the many people who continued to follow in behind us. I really love that. We placed an order for the Eggdaddy and Chicken Tikka Sandwich. We took a short seat at the counter and we're quickly seated at a table. The food was brought to our table and everyone made sure to check-in and make sure we enjoyed our food and that we were doing ok. I love the decor. I wish there were more egg shaped booths but hopefully one day we'll get to enjoy a seat in one. The morning dew cocktail was really strong and really good. I love the touch of the pretty flower. The Eggdaddy was really good. It's the perfect breakfast sandwich. The chicken Tikka was spicy. I think it needs more sauce and didn't really taste like chicken tikka but I wasn't mad. Very cute interior, with an egg concept but not gimmicky. It seemed like a place where you walked up, ordered, then sat down. It they sat us and gave us time to look at the menu. My son had chicken and waffles and I had the elotes taco with a side of truffle hash brown. My son and I love truffle anything. He devoured them. The taco I ordered was priced low on the menu and the plate came with one taco; which is great for me. I was full after. I paid by scanning the receipt at the table which is the option I prefer. read more

Love it, love it, love it!!! Not only is the food delicious, but they are extremely careful about preparing your order precisely the way you want it done. The chef accidentally gave me the wrong hashbrowns on my second visit there, but before I even had a chance to notice, the owner himself noticed it, and immediately brought a second batch of hashbrowns to me, telling me I could keep both orders, apologizing profusely the entire time. Russ, what a great way to treat people and mother's on Mother's day! The manger kicked my family out of the egg booth stating that they must have ordered before sitting in the egg booth. We were there long before everyone in line for food! It was not only rude but unnecessary given absolutely no one in line even wanted the both our day down there so you did nothing but hurt your business acting that way! So we COULD have sat in it after everyone ordered but Why after all that. If we were petty we would have just taken up the booth after we ordered for hours on end. It was seriously rude and unnecessary! Just put a sign up if that is your policy so people know rather than being rude and kicking them out when no one even cared about sitting there. read more

It was pretty crowded, so we decided we were going to order our food to go, but lo and behold, they only accepted credit/debit cards and not cash. It's a cute set up with the egg theme from the salt shakers to the seats. The coffee is pretty good as well. It has good service. The downfall is the food and price: I got the Mother Smucker's and the peanut butter overpowered the waffles which cost me $10.50. My tikka chicken sandwich was alright, but really really oily. I question if the counter service model is the best option here, rather than regular dining. I sat at the bar, right in front of the kitchen. The kitchen staff seem really overwhelmed with the almost constant stream of orders and they have an extremely limited space to move around. My apartment kitchen is larger than their kitchen and there were sometimes 5 people crammed in there. Also, I kind of lost my appetite, some from the sheer greasiness, but also because I witnessed one of the kitchen staff forgoing gloves several times when preparing food. Once was while preparing avocado toast and the other while preparing tacos, a couple of other times while garnishing. Maybe I'm not right and this is permissible in food service, but I feel like even if it is it shouldn't be allowed when the kitchen is right in front of customers. His pants were also hanging below his butt. I don't wanna see that while I'm eating and certainly not while you're preparing my food. read more

Food- was okay. I got the Eggdaddy sandwhich that comes with bacon, egg, hashbrown, cheese, and sauce. There was only on strip of bacon and the hashbrown was burnt. Service- my husband and I ordered an ice coffee and a small latte. 25 min went by and I went up to the counter to ask for our drinks. The staff mentioned that our drinks had been made but someone must of taken them. 5 min later our drinks (a second time) were ready for us. Seating is first come first serve. Even if you have been waiting for 30 min for a seat, if someone comes in and happens to snatch a table before you then they get to sit there. Not much regulation, which can not be fun for some. We waited a total of 25 min before getting a seat and waited a total of 45 min before we got our food. We were under the impression this was a quick breakfast spot. We were wrong. Ambiance- such a cute, thought out space. The details of decor and cleanliness was really good. read more

What a wonderful experience this morning! I am a breakfast fanatic and I have been eyeing Eggdaddy ever since it opened. I had a BOGO breakfast sandwich coupon from Facebook that I put to use this morning before work and brought my extra sammy to my boss. I go the Eggdaddy and the Lean Green Goddess. Since I only ate the Lean Green Goddess, I can personally comment on that - DELICIOUS! Great texture addition with the nuts and seeds, pesto was a garlicky delight, wonderful fresh ingredients that were superb. The Eggdaddy looked BOMB and my boss said it was 10/10. Service was fast and efficient and very friendly and I will 100% be back again! I cannot recommend them enough - also, I want to sit in one of the egg-shaped booths the next time I am back :-) read more

We were visiting out of town and saw this place in tik tok. It's a really cute place, very aesthetic. The staff are friendly when ordering the food. Now the food was actually pretty good & so was the coffee! But not every item in the menu was the best - for example the Local Bowl only came with one egg and it's was super tiny. The Daisy Duke was also not that good and didn't look right. Up until you order everything is well. Once you've ordered and have to find sitting is where things go wrong. If it's packed and there are no tables, you have to wait standing and people fight you for the tables that open up to the point that at times management has to get involve. The people who come to you with your food sometimes aren't fully sure to what they are passing out and forget certain things. They can be rude at times and I can see is due to the stress of it being packed. We waited over an hour to get our food and not everything was correct. I know they just opened but really need a better system. read more
