Eggbred is a new egg sando spot located in Chino Hills. I came here during a weakened and man was this place busy. Every seat was taken and there were people waiting for a seat. The inside is a little small but we were able to find a seat after we ordered. I ordered the scramble me softly but the overall flavor was plain. It was missing most of the ingredients such as the caramelized onions, and the smoked paprika. I did like the potatoes though! Now that was delicious but the mac and cheese needs a little bit more work. A cute spot to come and maybe next time I will try a different sando. read more

I was impressed at the selection of items they have (breakfast sandwiches, egg Benedict, breakfast burritos, biscuits & gravy). I ordered the breakfast sandwich with pork chorizo. We ordered the Ribeye Asada Chopped Cheese Toastie and it was loaded -- super savory with melty cheddar jack and that bacon jam adding the perfect sweet-salty balance. The sourdough was nicely toasted and the beer battered potatoes on the side were crispy and well-seasoned. The Ribeye Cali Burrito was super filling in the best way. The burger itself is so filling that if you are a light eater, the kids scramble is just enough. The burrito is massive too, so you got your two meals covered if your are not too hungry. My friend and I ordered the scramble & salty sandwich, LOADED Burrito - The Ribeye California, ribeye steak & egg sandwich, Cajun hot link breakfast burrito, mixed berry cheesecake waffle and two blood orange drinks. The scramble and salty sandwich's bun was perfect soft and had grilled onions, which gave a nice caramelized taste to each bite. The ribeye in both sandwich and burrito was perfectly soft and tender. I loved the arugula in the ribeye sandwich added such a nice lightness to the entire sandwich. Both burritos was heavy and amazing. Highly recommend the verde sauce to lighten it up a little bit. The Cajun burrito did have a nice strong kick to it. And the waffle and drink was a nice end to a savory meal. Starting there was very sweet and kind! Looking for a brunch spot on a late Sunday afternoon and found this gem. It's a small sit down breakfast/brunch place that's nice and clean. Walking to the front counter, the lady was very pleasant and helpful with recommendations. I ordered the loaded burrito and girlfriend ordered the scramble me softly. Also ordered their blood orange drink. Took about 10/15 min to arrive at our table once we sat, and it HIT THE SPOT. The burrito tasted as good as it looked and was pleasantly filling. I could taste the steak, egg, and avocado. My girlfriend's sandwich was equally delicious. Bread was warm and soft and egg tasted great, even though it was little messy. The blood orange didn't taste bad either. Not too sweet in my opinion. It all costed about 40 dollars, so do with that as you will, but I'm coming back soon. read more

Sometimes it feels like I've been a fan of poutine all my life. Ever since my days with Avonlea I've had a healthy obsession with all things Canada. And pretty early on Canadaphile me latched onto poutine as being a go-to dish. It's one of those menu offerings that I give sizable consideration to if it's on a menu, especially if it's traditional poutine--fries, brown gravy, and full cheese curds. Eggbred's poutine is not traditional poutine. It lacks the cheese curds that squeak; it has country gravy instead of brown gravy; and adds popcorn chicken, a poached egg, chimichurri, and chives. But damn if it isn't an awesome breakfast meal. Every bite is amazing, like having a breakfast themed shindig in your mouth. I especially like the choice of beer-battered breakfast potatoes over fries. I'm not a huge fry lover yo begin with and the only thing better than breakfast potatoes would've been tater tots. Perhaps beer-battered tater tots? I also liked the egg, but eggs are always nice for breakfast. I could've even see two eggs for this morning bad boy as being the thing to put it over the top. The service was awesome too. Quick, professional, and offering commentary on a few of the menu items should you require it--this is what every restaurant staff should strive for. The ambience is the only downside. It's kind of a small space, which isn't their fault. And I could see times where seats are available. As you know, I like it when the occupancy rides at that 80% full line. That way the food joint does good business but still affords me the chance to read a chapter or three in a book without feeling like I'm taking up space for someone else who wants a table. Without that comfortability , I feel somewhat rushed to get through eating so I don't screw up the turnover rate. And that doesn't make for the best dining experience. But as it is, I'll take kickass breakfast poutine and sometimes not being able to dine in over no poutine at all. After all, a poutine in the hand is worth two of them twenty miles further out. I typically don't add sauce or like hot sauce, but I added some Tapatio for some kick. It would be cool if they asked what type of egg we prefer, id request for a sunny side egg that's a bit runny. I went here during the soft opening and was pleasantly surprised with the options and efficiency of the staff to get orders out while it was pretty busy. The owner came to check on us multiple times and was so incredibly friendly. Very impressed with the service here. I went with a friend and she got the bfast sausage sandwich and really liked it. I got the same but subbed the sausage for the impossible patty. So flavorful and yummy, would definitely recommend trying this, seems to be one of their more popular items! I ordered the Benjamin Franklin sandwich, the country fried chicken breakfast sandwich, and a side of potatoes to go. The Benjamin Franklin was decent. The hollandaise sauce was the best part of the entire meal. It added great flavor and paired well with the bread. Outside of that, the sandwich itself did not stand out much. The country fried chicken sandwich was not what I expected. I was hoping for more of a chicken and waffles type of flavor, but it leaned very savory with gravy. The gravy was pretty lackluster and did not bring much flavor. The potatoes were tasty, but for $4, the portion felt small and not really worth the price. Everything being priced separately makes the meal add up quickly. It would be nice to see combo options or better value for what you are getting. Customer service was just okay. Nothing bad, but nothing memorable. I came here based on a recommendation, but I would not go out of my way to come back. Egg Bread is a cute little spot serving really great food. My daughter had been here before and recommended it, so I was excited to finally try it. The chicken was a huge piece of golden, fried, juicy goodness, served on a biscuit that was fluffy and soft just like the ones my grandmother used to make. They definitely don't skimp here. It also came with a side of country gravy, which was very good and paired perfectly with the sandwich. We shared an order of biscuits and gravy, which was very yummy, along with a side of beer-battered potatoes. I'm usually not a big fan of potato wedges, but these were perfectly seasoned and cooked I would absolutely order them again. For drinks, I had a cold brew and my daughter ordered a coffee. Coffee can be hit or miss depending on the place, but both were a hit here. You order at the counter and they bring the food to your table. After trying this place out in the OC, I had wish for a location closer and my wish came true. So excited this place finally opened. I absolutely love their scrambled me softly sandwich which I add the impossible sausage patty to. The egg is super fluffy and soft and flavorful and I love the sauces they use. Also love their potatoes as it's reminiscent of potato wedges meets curly fries. I don't typically eat french fries this early in the morning, but they were definitely a must and complemented the sandwich very well. We got a chorizo breakfast burrito as well. Disappointed that we didn't get to actually try any chorizo because they gave us what it seemed to be a bacon breakfast burrito. There wasn't that much meat in it for us to even notice until the end that it was bacon and not chorizo, but it was still good. I like how they grill the outside of the burrito and inside everything is so melting and gooey. Still highly recommend this place. For being a new place the food was good.
