My old lady first tried this place with one of her favorite aunts, and she was probably hoping to see some cute sailors eating here on the way to Mayport (loves her some military look). The old me would have been jealous of how much my wife carried on about another boy, but now I can understand having a crush on Eggboy. When she did take me with her on her second visit, I developed a lil' crush "maself". She got the Full Monty (sandwich), and I got the Santa Maria. After we ordered, it didn't take long for the food to arrive. During our short wait, I noticed they had a tv behind the counter showing the surf at Jacksonville Beach. How about that feature for creating a local beach vibe?! You know a place is good when you immediately start hoping for the opportunity to bring others.

This was our first stop in and we really enjoyed ut! The crew here are all amazingly friendly and want you to enjoy your food. They have some outside seating and counter, booth and tables inside. They appear to do a huge take out service as well. Stop in for a quick tasty fresh breakfast!
Stopped by EggBoy and overall had a solid experience. I ordered the bacon, egg & cheese and added sausage. The sandwich itself was tasty. Eggs cooked well, good flavor, and very satisfying once it hit the table. Now let's talk about the loaded spuds, because wow. Those things are dangerously good. Crispy, flavorful, and seriously addictive. Easily one of the highlights of the meal and something I'd come back for alone. That said, there were a couple of hiccups. They forgot to add the sausage to my sandwich, and service was a bit slow. However, it was clear they were in the weeds, so it felt more like a busy-rush issue than poor service. Things happen. All in all, the food delivers, especially the loaded spuds, and I'd definitely give EggBoy another shot, just hoping for a smoother service experience next time.
I've been 2x and love them! I mean- biscuits and gravy with bacon instead of sausage blew my mind and made me return! Not to mention their coffee is delicious, service is fast and friendly and besides numerous breakfast sandwiches on the menu they also have breakfast plates- John's preferred breakfast. Casual dining room, love the eggy vibes! Will be back!
I'd been wanting to try EggBoy for ages and finally found myself in the area on a recent Saturday, so I popped in for a late breakfast. To reiterate what other folks have observed, the parking is a bit difficult, and the location is small -- definitely not the size for a group gathering on the weekend, for example. I ordered the sunrise bagel (hold the bacon) and a fresh orange juice and got lucky enough to grab a seat. The cashier took $1 or $2 off the bagel price, which is a huge plus for folks like me who don't really eat meat. The orange juice was pricey ($6, I think?) but absolutely delicious -- definitely fresh squeezed. The bagel sandwich was a mixed bag. The bagel itself was good; full of flavor and a nice texture. The toppings were a bit underwhelming. I think the egg was a little underseasoned and neither the eggs nor the cheese were warm. The hot sauce wasn't really hot in my book, but I know that's really subjective! And the sandwich was on the smaller side, too; that's not necessarily a bad thing, just an observation...especially with prices the way they are these days. Speaking of which, the total with tip was $21, which I feel is on the pricier side for what I got, but again...that's less EggBoy's fault and more a reflection of where the economy is these days. So while things weren't perfect, I'd definitely pop in again.
The potatoes are so good. This is a spot in a bush lot with limited parking but it's really good. If you're close it may be a better takeout spot. They could benefit from a bigger spot but they make do with what they have.
This is a local place that prides itself on anything you can think of with egg as a sandwich. I got the S.E.C (sausage, egg, and cheese). This was a sausage with scrambled eggs on a brioche bun with American cheese. This was a good sandwich and as I got my food I glanced over in the booth and saw an assortment of hot sauces. I decided to try this horseradish and cayenne pepper medley and I couldn't have been more thrilled with my choice. I am not sure if it was the horseradish but all of sudden this bland but good egg Sammie just became amazing. I ended up asking if they sold the hot sauce and to my delight they did. The people there are friendly and will attend to you so you are not waiting for them. The atmosphere is like a diner which I like the nostalgia of being able to see the chefs cook.
The brunch café was bustling when we arrived which was a clear sign of its popularity. Though we had to wait briefly, the mouthwatering aromas kept us excited while we waited in line. I ordered the Arlington sandwich with a Matcha drink. It was packed with a turkey sausage, eggs, avocado, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and honey dijonnaise on a jumbo English muffin. It was a bit messy but flavorful. The Matcha was lightly sweet and refreshing. My partner chose the SEC sandwich with maple pepper sausage, eggs, American cheese, and honey dijonnaise on a brioche bun, plus a dry cappuccino--he liked them both. The café's small size made it feel cramped, and a few flies were quite distracting a bit. Our clothes also picked up some kitchen smells due to the open cooking space. Still, the food was delicious and the lively atmosphere added to the charm. We left satisfied and already thinking about what to try next time. A memorable brunch spot! Also, always check the special menu as you'll find some great creations.
Finally made it on a weekday when it wasn't totally packed! The BEC was definitely tasty and I'd order it again. The cafe con leche was lukewarm with cinnamon notes which I wasn't quite a fan of.
Had to update my review: Over a year later and we are still coming back. The loaded spuds were made with so much love! The S.E.C & the red Forman are our go-to's. You can tell the staff is working hard to pump out food, with quick service. Damian gave us our food and we had a quick chat. He was so kind and it really made our morning. 10/10, we will continue to come back!
Me and the hubby visited Eggboy a while back. The restaurant is really quaint and stays busy. You may not be able to get seating but the breakfast sandwiches that we ordered during brunch were good. Make your way to this local breakfast/brunch spot.
The food is good! The "Sidewinder Potatoes" are a new take on an old breakfast staple. Beer battered and crispy they were a treat. Moist and buttery scrambled eggs and turkey sausage made the perfect brecky delight. Better than Grumpys and fresher than keke's. With friendly service, a comfortable deli style ambiance, average pricing, all in house made sausage and potatoes, and a great smash burger, it's a must have breakfast experience if you're in NE Jacksonville. This place gets my highest marks.

I was finally able to try Eggboy and this quaint little storefront was unfortunately filled to the brim when I got there so I had to order my food to go (which is no problem.) It was lunch time when I arrived so I decided to go with the chopped cheese and the loaded spuds. The chopped cheese definitely did not taste like your "traditional" take on the classic as the flavors felt a bit muddled together, which is unfortunate because I will say the portion size was great. The loaded spuds were definitely my meal's saving grace. They were perfectly cooked and seasoned! So crispy yet so soft in the middle and I like how they used cheese dust instead of your traditional shredded or melted cheese. And as a ranch connoisseur - the ranch that came with it was also perfect! I'm not sure if they make it in-house but it was the perfect accompaniment. I would definitely give Eggboy another shot as they have a pretty well-rounded selection of other breakfast and lunch items. read more

I stopped into Eggboy last weekend to see if it lived up to the hype. Of course it did! I knew what I was ordering before I arrived- the Breakfast Poutine | beer-battered spiral fries, cheese curds, bacon, over-medium eggs, & sausage gravy. It was amazing! The fries were excellent, bacon was great, & the eggs perfectly cooked. There was an unexpected garlicky flavor that I couldn't work out if it was on the curds or in the gravy. All I know is it added another delicious layer of flavor to the dish which is so big that I took half of it home. One piece of advice- get there early! They open at 6am & I arrived around 7 on Sunday. The kitchen line seemed to be moving like a well-oiled machine. The guy who came in after me only had to wait about 5m for his to-go order from ordering to out the door. By the time I left, multiple groups were arriving & they seemed to be doing a number of online pickup orders too. Love to see it! read more

I can't believe I didn't find this place sooner. Delicious breakfast sandwich! I had the B.E.C. Bacon, soft scrambled egg, sharp cheddar and homemade sauce all stacked in a yummy brioche bun. Very very good. They have great sweet tea too! read more

Great way start the day after a night of bourbons. These breakfast sandwiches hit the spot. Tried a variety of sandwiches, The full Monty, hen house, Arlington, and red foreman. The were all very good, but my favorite was the red foreman. Got the beer battered potatoes, breakfast poutines and of course a sweet treat, cinnamon bun! Poutines were delicious and meal all by themself. Beer batter potatoes were cooked perfectly, crispy on outside and soft and fluffy on the inside, which I got a side of there gravy and dunked the potatoes in! Ordered as take, staff was friendly. Food was yummy. Hearty portions, for sure! Staff was friendly and welcoming. I didn't take as many pictures of the place because there were a lot of patrons, I didn't want them to feel awkward. Who takes pics at 7am?! Hehe Small parking lot shared with a distillery and a brewery, but since the hours are opposite each other, it shouldn't be so bad. If you can't find parking, go to the plaza next to it - you'll be fiiiiiine. Order at the counter, find a seat, and they'll bring your food to you. Small place, 3 booths, 2 other tables, and seating area for people getting ToGo orders. Menu is on the lit board on the right, when you walk in. Open kitchen, so you can see them make your goodies. Currently, in their soft opening, but they seem pretty streamlined from what we saw. Great job, EggBoys! I went with the Hen House, because chicken and gravy! Hehe. Loved the brioche bun and the pickle. Good, even without the gravy, too. So big I only ate half (rest to go). Also, had the Breakfast Poutine. Just so you know, spiral fries aren't the same as curly fries (which I was expecting- haha) still good. And that cheese curd streeeeeetch! Yes, definitely a share size potion. I prefer brown gravy, but that's just me. My friend had the Full Monty and she liked it. All-in-all, pretty quick service. Egg-cellent. Will be back to try other stuff. My husband wanted to go here for breakfast because he heard from so many that or was a must for breakfast. The place was a diner with the aisle that separated the bar stools from the booths and tables. The wall was decorated with wallpaper of eggs that gave it that eclectic vibe. Staff was super friendly. Although I wasn't expecting anything great from a what I thought was might be a greasy breakfast, the Santa Maria was scrumptious! The egg, bacon, tomato and all the other ingredients were perfectly stacked to create a juicy, meaty, and crispy bite. I would definitely come back! The only thing is that they had specials listed at your table but you order at the counter before you are seated so we could have picked from a larger selection. read more

First time at Egg Boy. So overwhelmed with the selection of delicious egg inspired sandwiches and non-sandwiches. Had the Hen's egg sandwich and the Poutine over cheese curds and spiral potatoes. Everything was delicious and fulfilled my chicken/egg desires. Will be back next time we're in Mayport! Thank you staff and cooks for providing such wonderful breakfast and brunch selections! read more

Even the kids liked it! The eggs are incredible! Love this place- my 2-1/2 year old loved the bacon and the fruity pebbles bar! The service is quick, the portions are large, the staff is friendly. The egg wall is very cool! They'll likely grow out of their space quickly due to the delicious food, and the limited seating space! read more

Was looking for a BEC. Found Eggboy on google and decided we'd give it a shot. Me and the wife each grabbed a Santa Maria sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The fries were perfectly cut and crisp, with a house ranch that was to die for. The lady at the front was high energy, super sweet, and as the wife said- "super pretty" Food came quick, but we wouldve waited for it. The place was busy and only got busier. Felt like a community spot and it really just made our experience a 10/10. The interior was just the right vibe Big thanks to the cooks, and the front of house. Oh and their coffee professional. The Cortadito was delicious! Time to grab a cinnamon roll on the way out. Thanks again read more

This is the best breakfast sandwich shop anywhere close to the beach. There's no argument. They have a sandwich called the "BEC" or your "classic bacon egg and cheese" that has a secret ketchup sauce on it that is incredibly good. The coffee is awesome, but I think their OJ is even better. They have a high tech juicer machine that makes some of the most pure OJ around.......its pretty wild. I'd go back, and have been back probably 6 times already and it gets better every-time. I still have a few more things to try and can't wait. Congrats to the EGGBOYS, super excited for the new spot!!! read more
Solid breakfast sammie. Soft is my preferred scramble so it's nice to see that on the menu. Had the BEC, was delish and filling. Bacon was thicc. Cortado was real noice, too. And them buns--- so soft! Service friendly and fast. Will def come again. read more

I was in the area during Super Bowl weekend so I finally had a chance to try this spot. I was only a mile away but it was early didn't feel like driving up so I ordered ubereats had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. The BEC was great a little messy to eat must be 2 eggs on that thing hence the name. Bacon was top notch eggs were amazing fluffy and flavorful tried the SEC wasn't as impressed with the sausage it lacked flavor for me that's why it's not 5 stars. This place is doing it right. It's so clear that they have fresh ingredients and people who care about what they're making. Living up to their name, their sandwiches consistently have delicious soft scrambled eggs; the owner has clearly taught the cooks the proper way to make a scrambled egg. I got the B.E.C. (bacon egg and cheese) and really enjoyed it. The "catch-up" sauce tastes like a burger sauce which wasn't what I would have expected on a breakfast sandwich, but it was delicious. I also had the Arlington and the dijonnaise on there is outta bounds. These sandwiches are exploding with flavor. The coffee is also fantastic. They know what their doing with their espresso for sure. Definitely go here and get some coffee and a sandwich! read more

Ate here before and loved the sandwich. Decided to return and try a different sandwich. I should have moved the halves to show the inside. I chose one with maple sausage, American cheese, a whole grain mustard, scrambled eggs with a cafe con leche. The line was short (was a weekday) and I got a seat inside. My sandwich was delicious. The scrambled eggs included chives and were soft without being runny, which I don't care for. I should have taken half home because it's a filling sandwich but I loved the taste and ate it all. I skipped the spiral cut fries this time. They are good but filling. They also have lunch sandwiches. Will eat here again if I'm in the area. People are friendly. read more

The Aesthetic is great but more than that just really solid, quality food. Every-time we have come I've tried a new item and each has been equally as wonderful. Today the Shipwrecked Benny was 10/10, so delicious. The portion size was incredible and everything is seasoned to perfection. For me temperature of the food is crucial and they get a 10/10 on this as well! Always served fresh and hot to the table! The staff here including owner seem to be very passionate about a quality experience and good meal. Well done from me! read more

The kiddo and I finally got to try Eggboy and let me tell y'all something, damn good!!! As soon as you walk in, it's a great vibe. The kiddo ordered the Santa Maria breakfast sandwich. I ordered the chopped cheese sandwich and we shared the loaded spuds. Everything was made to order, hot and fresh! The ingredients are fresh and the quality is amazing. Definitely worth the price! If you get the chance, head on over. There is a line, but worth the wait. read more

My biscuit was burnt. There were chives on the gravy but it wasn't listed on the menu as being on the gravy biscuit. The French toast my daughter ordered was just toast. It was over 30$ for a gravy biscuit, kids cheese toast and kids "French toast". Way too much for what we received. read more

This place deserves all 5 stars, hands down. Immediate green flags upon walking in: open kitchen concept (not hiding anything), no photos on the menu, but- daily specials! (Yellow papers) & FRESH SQUEEZED OJ, highly recommend. Finally, a steady moving line of smiling customers. Had a delightfully quick and friendly experience ordering and 4 sandwiches were out in less than 10 min. The quality of ingredients is pronounced in every bite. Such a unique spread of options- this is a great place to take friends visiting. Tried the Hen House, BEC, Sunrise Bagel Sandwich, and Full Monty. All were exceptional! They put green onion in the scrambled eggs and I loved their sauce. Appreciated the simple decor, but there's not a ton of seating so you might end up taking it to go during peak breakkie rush times. Speaking of which, the final test for me is seeing how a bathroom looks after said rush times.. Either the customers were all just decent citizens or effort was made to service it throughout the chaos. But I was impressed at how clean it was compared to how busy it was. You're really missing out if you haven't stopped by here yet! Great work. read more
