I came here on a whim after church because we wanted to try something new and eggboy kept coming up in our suggestions. We headed over to Mayport (it's not very far from the exit if you're coming from Atlantic). It's located in a stripmall right after the first light. Just beware, parking can be tight and I would assume that on a Saturday morning, you may have problems parking. The inside of Eggboy looked like a diner, there's counter seating, and a few booths and tables available. You order at the counter, then they'll bring out your order to our table. I ordered an iced latte and a BEC: bacon, eggs, cheese, catchup sauce on a brioche bun and an iced latte. The staff was friendly and helpful. In less than 10 minutes my order was ready and brought out. The sandwich was delicious (a little messy, but I'm sure that's because I'm messy lol). The eggs were fluffy, the bacon was crispy, and the cheese was nice an melty. The iced latte was robust and creamy. I'll be back. read more

Who takes pics at 7am?! Hehe Small parking lot shared with a distillery and a brewery, but since the hours are opposite each other, it shouldn't be so bad. If you can't find parking, go to the plaza next to it - you'll be fiiiiiine. Order at the counter, find a seat, and they'll bring your food to you. Small place, 3 booths, 2 other tables, and seating area for people getting ToGo orders. Menu is on the lit board on the right, when you walk in. Open kitchen, so you can see them make your goodies. Currently, in their soft opening, but they seem pretty streamlined from what we saw. Great job, EggBoys! I went with the Hen House, because chicken and gravy! Hehe. Loved the brioche bun and the pickle. Good, even without the gravy, too. So big I only ate half (rest to go). Also, had the Breakfast Poutine. Just so you know, spiral fries aren't the same as curly fries (which I was expecting- haha) still good. And that cheese curd streeeeeetch! Yes, definitely a share size potion. I prefer brown gravy, but that's just me. My friend had the Full Monty and she liked it. All-in-all, pretty quick service. Egg-cellent. Will be back to try other stuff. I live in the area so I really really want it to be a success. And I've really enjoyed my food there in the past. I'm writing in hopes that someone who can get things back in good shape will do so. I stopped by on impulse recently- around lunch time but they do have sandwiches on the menu. Approximately the first 3 things I ordered they were out of. Basic things like hollandaise sauce. I started feeling like I was in a Saturday Night Live skit. Finally settled on a food order when I spotted the fresh oj machine so decided to splurge. "Oh that hasn't worked in a while.". The potatoes which I've always loved tasted like they were cooked in old oil. I heard them 86 them while I was waiting. Even the kids liked it! The eggs are incredible! Love this place- my 2-1/2 year old loved the bacon and the fruity pebbles bar! The service is quick, the portions are large, the staff is friendly. It's rare that I write 5 star reviews, but it's also rare that I eat somewhere 2 days in a row for breakfast, in a city that has a plethora of brunch & breakfast options. I'll keep it short and to the point. I had the monte carlo the 1st day; I was blown away. Such a delicious and creative sandwich! I returned the next day with my wife and we both had the breakfast burger. It was A-MA-ZING! It was arguably better than the one we spent twice as much for at the fancy resort on the beach. It was possibly the best bfast burger I've ever had. Also, the service was fantastic. Run, don't walk, and treat yourself to one of the best bfast spots in all of Duval. PS - Try the home fries. Was looking for a BEC. Found Eggboy on google and decided we'd give it a shot. Me and the wife each grabbed a Santa Maria sandwich and it was absolutely delicious. The fries were perfectly cut and crisp, with a house ranch that was to die for. The lady at the front was high energy, super sweet, and as the wife said- "super pretty" Food came quick, but we wouldve waited for it. The place was busy and only got busier. Felt like a community spot and it really just made our experience a 10/10. The interior was just the right vibe Big thanks to the cooks, and the front of house. Oh and their coffee professional. Went here with my boyfriend one morning and had a really great food experience, literally try anything on the menu and you'll like it. Giving 5 stars because I can't control how popular this place is, I will say it is super super busy (especially in the morning) so be mindful it'll be a bit loud, but if you're doing a take out order you certainly won't wait long for the best breakfast sandwich you'll ever have. read more

I was in the area during Super Bowl weekend so I finally had a chance to try this spot. I was only a mile away but it was early didn't feel like driving up so I ordered ubereats had the bacon egg and cheese sandwich and the sausage egg and cheese sandwich. The BEC was great a little messy to eat must be 2 eggs on that thing hence the name. Bacon was top notch eggs were amazing fluffy and flavorful tried the SEC wasn't as impressed with the sausage it lacked flavor for me that's why it's not 5 stars. To say my husband and I are obsessed with Eggboy would be a complete understatement. My local realtor gave us a gift card to try this restaurant and we have been back weekly, sometimes several times a week. It's located in the heart of Mayport and has the cutest ambience for a breakfast/lunch place. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and have great suggestions. Our go to is the BEC with its soft brioche bun, eggs, bacon, sharp cheddar cheese and the best sauce that brings it all together. We have been making our way through the menu but the BEC will probably always have our heart. They also have overnight oats in either tiramisu or banana pudding. Try them both, they are delicious and practically dessert. Their fresh squeezed orange juice is 100% fresh squeezed and wonderful. This is the best breakfast sandwich shop anywhere close to the beach. There's no argument. They have a sandwich called the "BEC" or your "classic bacon egg and cheese" that has a secret ketchup sauce on it that is incredibly good. The coffee is awesome, but I think their OJ is even better. They have a high tech juicer machine that makes some of the most pure OJ around.......its pretty wild. I'd go back, and have been back probably 6 times already and it gets better every-time. Ate here before and loved the sandwich. Decided to return and try a different sandwich. I should have moved the halves to show the inside. I chose one with maple sausage, American cheese, a whole grain mustard, scrambled eggs with a cafe con leche. The line was short (was a weekday) and I got a seat inside. My sandwich was delicious. The scrambled eggs included chives and were soft without being runny, which I don't care for. I should have taken half home because it's a filling sandwich but I loved the taste and ate it all. The Aesthetic is great but more than that just really solid, quality food. Every-time we have come I've tried a new item and each has been equally as wonderful. This place is a must-go in Mayport. I got the Hen House and my girlfriend got the SEC. We also got the loaded spuds. The coffee was really good too. Was a bit crowded, but was worth the wait. Tried it this morning and we were pleasantly surprised! Didn't have super high expectations for an egg sandwich place, but the line out the door told us we should expect otherwise. We ordered the The Arlington sandwich and the Santa Maria sandwich, and our kids got a scrambled egg and maple pepper sausage patty. Everything exceeded our expectations! The sandwiches were massive and super flavorful. The ingredients on each worked very well together and will certainly be craveable. My kids' eggs were nice and fluffy, and the sausage patties were homemade and delicious! Only complaint is that it's a small space inside with very little seating (which is okay considering the quick table turnover), but we sat near the door and it was very warm in the restaurant. This place is doing it right. It's so clear that they have fresh ingredients and people who care about what they're making. Living up to their name, their sandwiches consistently have delicious soft scrambled eggs; the owner has clearly taught the cooks the proper way to make a scrambled egg. I got the B.E.C. (bacon egg and cheese) and really enjoyed it. The "catch-up" sauce tastes like a burger sauce which wasn't what I would have expected on a breakfast sandwich, but it was delicious. I also had the Arlington and the dijonnaise on there is outta bounds. These sandwiches are exploding with flavor. The coffee is also fantastic. This place deserves all 5 stars, hands down. Immediate green flags upon walking in: open kitchen concept (not hiding anything), no photos on the menu, but- daily specials! (Yellow papers) & FRESH SQUEEZED OJ, highly recommend. Finally, a steady moving line of smiling customers. Had a delightfully quick and friendly experience ordering and 4 sandwiches were out in less than 10 min. The quality of ingredients is pronounced in every bite. Such a unique spread of options- this is a great place to take friends visiting. Tried the Hen House, BEC, Sunrise Bagel Sandwich, and Full Monty. All were exceptional! They put green onion in the scrambled eggs and I loved their sauce. Appreciated the simple decor, but there's not a ton of seating so you might end up taking it to go during peak breakkie rush times. Speaking of which, the final test for me is seeing how a bathroom looks after said rush times.. Either the customers were all just decent citizens or effort was made to service it throughout the chaos. But I was impressed at how clean it was compared to how busy it was. EGGBOY after thoughts: finally made a trip to this highly recommended spot in the Mayport area after our AM beach run. The place is simple but well decorated place that gave a very hip 70's diner vibe. Limited outside seating is available. Staff was familiar to me & was super helpful (let's call him handsome spaghetti mustache)! Ordered the S.E.C minus maple syrup sausage but was recommended I just get an egg & Swiss cheese on a brioche lightly toasted. Lightly seasoned scrabbled eggs was done to perfection (not scrabbled fan but this was well received). Brioche was good too but may have wanted it extra toasted or may have liked the English muffin more, well toasted as well. I quite enjoyed the sandwich & hope to be allowed to sample other flavors on menu minus the meatless option. I had Java prior to this visit & would love to also get the opportunity to taste their Java menu & their freshly squeezed OJ in the future. Final thoughts - "Friendly, quick service & by 0930, place was jumping, but no long wait line." Recommendations: add vegan/meatless options please, plenty of us live in JAX. Super knowledgeable & accommodating with gluten allergy, portion of grill they make the eggs/meats is separate from grilled bread!
