Since I wanted something new, I chose the PBJ sandwich; I figured one could not go wrong with peanut butter, jelly, bacon, egg, jalapeño, and fried chicken. Well, I was right. What an experience! Upon arrival, we were greeted immediately. All the staff members that we had spoken to were extremely kind and helpful. Throughout our visit here, the staff checked up on us and other guests several times making sure we were doing okay and enjoying our food. Food came out pretty fast considering that everything is made to order. Although the restaurant was roomy, there wasn't too much seating available (only like 4-5 tables), however it seems like taking food to-go seems like a more popular option. Food was really good. Had the hawaiian bowl and dirty fries. Portions are great. There was a review I saw that claimed the portions were small and Idk where that person goes, but I think Egg N Birds portion sizes are comparable to most restaurants that sell dressed up fries and rice bowls. My boyfriend and I shared to two dishes and we could not finish either, so we took the rest to go. One of the things that stood out to me is the sauce they use to drizzle their fries and rice bowl. The perfect savory taste that's not too salty or spicy. Really great with ANYTHING on their menu. At this time, they had offered some of their customers a french toast churro-esque dessert item as a trial run since they're thinking about putting it on their menu. I like that instead of deciding within themselves or as a business, they offer it to customers for their opinion. I personally liked the taste, but the texture was not what I expected. Love this place! I ordered from here last year and they gave me a sample of their banana pudding which I really liked. However, I wasn't really a pudding girly at the time. But with the recent upsurge of banana pudding matcha, I started to crave banana pudding. I remembered this place existed and I ordered banana pudding from them and mixed it with my matcha. I honestly got the inspiration from Coffee & which has banana pudding matcha, but I wanted more serving of just the banana pudding so I just decided to get a side of banana pudding from Egg N Bird and add on more to my matcha. They have better prices and bigger servings of banana pudding than most places do nowadays. I went to another place before I stopped by egg n bird and they were selling a small portion of banana pudding for $7..... but at egg n bird I got a big amount for only about $5. I gave 3 stars for a few reasons. I was really looking for to a Juicy and well sauced Nashville hot chicken sandwich like they show in their pictures. This was not my experience. To begin with, I ordered from home and made it there within about 10 minutes and our food was already up for us. Don't get me wrong, I am all for speedy service but our food had been sitting so long it had already started to cool off. This is a problem for two reasons: 1. The sandwiches were pre made and 2. Cold food and soggy fries can literally ruin a meal. Next, my Nashville hot was extremely dry with barely a smidgen of sauce. I'm glad I had ordered a side of sauce for my fries otherwise I wouldn't have gotten through my sandwich. I also don't like the fact that they charge you a $1 for 1single small side of sauce when each sandwich should come with a complimentary one upon request given how dry it is. However I can honestly say nothing we ordered screamed uniquely delicious; we have to come back. This restaurant has a nice attractive logo/concept; which is intriguing enough to get you in the door but it fails to deliver with food and taste. I think the seasoned French fries are what stood out the most. The rest was just what you would expect in any fast food restaurant. I really wished it was out of this world spectacularly delicious but it's not. I think Other National chicken chains delivery more bang for your buck (so to speak). The chicken strips were crispy, but maybe there was too much honey for my taste. The sandwich was too sweet for me. Nashville Hot Sandwich - Fried chicken strips, crack sauce, pickles, and some slaw. Solid sandwich that I would order again. Country Bird - Like their take on Chick Fil A. Taste just as good to me and that's a good thing. Theirs is bigger. FC Banh Mi Sandwich - Fried chicken strips, Asian slaw, jalapenos, cilantro, and their crack sauce. Good, but not my favorite version. Asian slaw could be more crisp. My favorite so far is their Korean Hot Sandwich. Same chicken strips, Korean glaze & slaw, spicy mayo, and jalapenos. I think this sandwich had the best combination of flavor. They said it was, but that was a lie, no apology 5 After 55 was called i complained on my my food was later than people who ordered behind me. They clearly gave my food to someone else or dismissed my order completely 6 They offered a refund but failed to immediately initiate the refund. They told me I have to wait for a manager to process the refund. It may take 48 to 72 hours to start the refund Edit: Update, never received the refund 7 After i was offered the refund and i accepted, the cashier tried to cancel my order. That meant that after waiting 50 i almost didnt get anything to eat 8 They gave an excuse that the cashier came back from lunch and didnt know what was going on 9 After they realized they failed to process my order they made the food which only took 2 minutes.
