Spicy Bloody Mary looks amazing and has the perfect amount of spice. The celery was a little dry and wilted but not a big deal. The skillet combo looks delicious. read more

Egg Harbor Cafe - Skillet toast with jam lemon poppy seed pancakes - Breakfast & Brunch Near Me - Chicago, Illinois

Great food, fast service. I've been to the location in Atlanta before and was excited to see this location on our travels.

Food was mediocre and espresso seems to be made from a push button machine. Our server was really nice and attentive.

It's the best most consistent breakfast place on Planet Earth. Clean, Friendly, and Delicious... Every location, every time.

Egg harbor cafe is truly a breakfast gem! We ordered the waffle and lemon poppy seed pancakes which were both delicious! My husband and I both cleared our plates. The strawberry orange juice is also amazing. Sometimes there can be a long wait, but you can see wait times and join the wait list on line. read more

I was at the Streeterville location on Friday with friends from Raleigh, NC. I introduced them years back and now, it's tradition to meet the day after Thanksgiving! It never disappoints, food, portions, service and ambience. Shout out to Elizabeth our waitress, who is off the charts when it comes to service and personality! Also, shout out to Nicole who is the GM and goes beyond for me, anytime I go to the restaurant. She clearly has trained her staff to go the extra 9 yards for the patrons. A must go! You have to join the waitlist in advance, but the food is delicious- very fresh and filling!! They also have a great seasonal menu with fun barista drinks and great presentation of food and beverage read more

We've ordered here for brunch a couple times and it's honestly a great choice especially for their pancakes. I didn't love their biscuits & gravy side but I have high expectations when it comes to biscuits since I love carbs!!! Definitely order from here if you're craving a solid breakfast or brunch. There are so many different egg based options, pancakes, and even sandwiches. I love how you can customize your meal such as ordering a single or double stack of pancakes for cheaper if you just want a different entree and the pancakes to split. They also give you extra compote / icing for free though extra strawberries did cost money. Egg Harbor is actually a chain restaurant and there are locations throughout Illinois and Georgia (according to my friend, they originated in Georgia) and I'd rather eat here than other brunch chains any day. read more

Ordered a scramble and shared it. They took the time to split it into two seperate skillets with a English muffin each. Delicious flavor, would probably had order extra eggs if splitting. Strawberry mimosas is refreshing and not too sweet. Coffee drinks were well balanced in caffeine and flavor. Service was amazing! read more

have lived above this place for a year, and have been so many times. food is SO mid. like it's just disappointing every single time. service is fine but the food is just not good at all. read more

Rude staff. I got admonished for 'tapping' way too fast. Causing my card to be charged for the wrong meal. This wouldn't have been an issues if the take out service member wasn't trying to take my order and charge another patron at the same time. I understand it was busy but when you try to do two things at a time you end up giving subpar service to two people. I wasn't rude to about having my card charged for someone else's meal and the server shouldn't have been rude about me 'tapping way too fast'. read more

The cafe is nestled in a prime location. The wait for brunch was reasonable and our waiter was very attentive. Food was fresh and the menu had healthy and traditional options. I had an egg skillet with meat and veggies and it was awesome. My friend had a frittata and was equally impressed. Excellent spot overall. read more

Stupid prices, tiny portions. Extremely low value. I guess it's a sign of the times. The server was nice. But I can't bring myself to give it greater than 1 star. You need to be rich just to get eggs and pancakes. Unfortunately I can't even afford breakfast. Plenty of people there, so the price gouging is working. read more

Great place for a Sunday brunch and very family friendly. Depending on the day it can get pretty booked so plan accordingly, especially if it's around a holiday like Easter Sunday or New Years Day. I had the San Antonio skillet and my friend had the Smoked Salmon eggs Benedict and both tasted great. We also ordered their house coffees that have a ton of fixings which was a lovely treat. We also got a side of French toast to share and that was great as well. Reasonably priced for the area and great place to take your family or a large group for a weekend brunch :) read more

We had a party of 26. Called at 730am for a 1200pm reservation. They told me they couldn't take a reservation but at 11am go online and join the waitlist. They text at 1145 and said they were ready for us. At 1201 all 26 of us were seated and ordering beverages. The food came out fast and was amazing! Will definitely go back! read more

Omg so worth the 1.5hr wait (put your name down, grab some coffee to go and enjoy a walk along the river to build up your appetite)!! The service was friendly and so thoughtful. My sister and I wanted mentioned in passing that we'd like to share our individual orders and our server brought them out divided up and individually plated making it SO easy to dig right in!! We enjoyed the habanero hash (highly recommend this) and the eggs Benedict. The English muffin came perfectly toasted and tasted soooo good with the whipped cream and jam!!!! Also had a side of the lemon poppyseed pancake that has been reviewed by all, but got just one because we were STUFFED eating the other dishes! Love love this restaurant and def think it's worthy of all the hype! read more

Fantastic spot for brunch in the heart of Streeterville Chicago. Great spot for bunch, bloody Mary's and morning drinks right off of Michigan Avenue. The egg skillets (habenero hash and San Antonio) were fantastic, depending on your meat quantity preferences and spice tolerance, you can't go wrong with one of these. read more

I had there Habanero Hash it was delicious. Service was good and a good value for the money. I would definitely go back.

Great atmosphere, the food is also delicious, server was attentive. I would definitely come back here again.

Food is okay but I deducted two stars because of the service. Our server didnt take our order for a long time, but brought the check rather fast before we finished our food and asked for the check. We asked her to take a picture for us, and she said "can you wait" and rushed off. We waited for her for 10+mins and she never came back to take the phot, even though she passed our table several times. I would understand if she is busy, and taking a photo is not in her job description, but it wouldn't hurt to be nice and have a more friendly attitude. We left in the end without the photo. Very disappointed. read more

Stopped in for a quick breakfast on Saturday morning and was seated right away. Ordered americano which came out quick as well as the Habanero Hash. The was not spicy like indicated on the menu and came out burned on bottom and somewhat bland. Needs more spicy and peppers! Service was great. read more

Great location, but a smaller menu then I was expecting. Service was attentive - in fact there were probably more staff working this rainy morning than customers!! Food was good for the price - well be back! read more

Great location, tasteful decor and very trendy! Good food and great coffee. The Cozy Scrambler, with bacon, Fuji apples and Brie was quite tasty, but a bit dry. Our server was excellent- friendly, efficient and helpful. They serve a carafe of room temp water, which tastes great and easy to drink. Overall, a great experience! read more

Loved having a safe gluten free option in Chicago. The cinnamon roll was amazing! Don't miss it.

Solid breakfast place. I just wish they offered a pancake as an option instead of toast. Always a good experience

So good! We had to wait ten minutes to get a table but it was worth it. The service was very fast. The kids both got make your own omelettes and they were huge! The pancake side was large too. They have some special salt on the table and it was tasty. I got the salmon eggs Benedict and they were the best I've tried. The eggs were cooked perfect and the smoked salmon portion was more than I anticipated. The server stopped multiple times to make sure we had refills. The bacon was really good, too. Would definitely go back if we are in town again. read more

Great food great service will go again. Super busy on a Sunday but no wait on a Tuesday morning.

I ordered an iced lavender chai latte and the lemon popped pancake. Oh my god. The pancakes tasted AMAZING! They're nice and fluffy. The lemon wasn't overpowering. It like I was tasting a lemon poppy seed muffin but in pancake form. No need to put syrup on this, the pancakes itself are sweet. I also like how you can taste the homemade quality. Not that frozen shit. The iced lavender chai latte was really good too. It has a slightly strong floral taste, but I like it. read more
