This is a new venture from Soho House. But unlike anything else associated with Soho House , this restaurant in the classy place of Notting Hill West London is very understated. Previously an Asian eaterie, it even has the exterior name of Thai Break crossed out to now Egg Break. What I liked was the fantastic service inside. And they of course did egg dishes very well. I liked the buns with egg and chicken and pork belly best though there were other surprising delights along the way. Even the cocktails were very good. This place use to be good but since they have become so busy and popular the service has really suffered. When you go in to get a table they act like they are doing you a favour. We asked for a table and were told to wait to wait outside (in the pouring rain) until they can check. Has become a major tourist hotspot for people from Middle East (nothing wrong with that, I am from that part of the world myself) so it's almost impossible to get a table without an hours wait.... for eggs. I Yelped this place before our trip to London and went straight there from the airport on a Saturday morning. Got the best table in the place and food, coffee, ambiance and service was over the top. Would recommend everyone to go here. One tip might be to not sleep in on mornings when coming here. At 11 am there was quite the line out front. read more

Hands down the best breakfast I had in London during my week long trip. Staff was awesome, food was delicious and the house coffee is bottomless! If it looks really busy when you get there don't worry, there is seating downstairs too. read more

Loved this place. My husband and I went to get a late breakfast. The Mexican and Turkish dishes were great. The Turkish dish had a bit too much dill and yogurt, but I think that's a matter of preference. We were skeptical about the pancakes because they have caramel on top, but the pancakes were so good! A nice place for brunch! Food was not exceptional, but the ambiance and service made our meal very pleasant and enjoyable. I got the Eggs Benny with smoked salmon, and while the hollandaise was not bad, it didn't leave too much of an impression and the English muffin was too thick which made it hard to eat everything together. Eggs were done very well (as the name suggests), and this echoed for my friends Mexican Omelette as well which was delicious and flavourful. The menu here was one of the hardest menus to decide from because EVERYTHING looks so good. I decided on the eggs benedict, and the rest of my table all ordered different things. Egg Break is an adorably quirky little cafe hidden down a little side street near Notting Hill Gate. The space was previously inhabited by a Thai restaurant so they have simply crossed out the word "Thai" on the signage and replaced it with "Egg". This is a perfect example of the laid back, quirky but cute atmosphere you will find. Upon first entering the restaurant seems tiny however after going down stairs and winding around tiny hallways you are welcomed by a slightly larger dining space. The tables are squished together in a slightly disorganized manner but this only adds to the charm. The menu is short and sweet featuring a variety of dishes featuring (as you probably guessed) eggs! The service was a bit slow but once the food came it was delicious. The avocado toast was beautifully presented and the poached eggs revealed yolks that were insanely yellow and amazing. I will certainly come back to try some of their other brunch dishes and possibly their dinner options as well! read more

This place is a gem! I discovered it after visiting Portabello Market last Saturday (thanks to a quick Yelp search) and absolutely loved it. We loved it so much we went back again 2 days later right before flying back to the U.S. The food is so fresh & yummy, the space is so cozy & quaint, and the staff is lovely. There are lots of good breakfast spots in Los Angeles, but Egg Break beats them all. I will definitely return the next time I'm in London! read more

Incredible. We made a point of going twice after discovering them on a recent trip to London from the US. I still dream of the sweet potato rosti. Went here for a late lunch, and it was the best decision I've made all week. I took forever to decide what to get because everything on the menu sounds delicious! I ended up getting the levantine eggs, which were fabulous--crispy, herby chickpeas and a perfect fried egg on top of freshly baked wheat toast. Plus bottomless drip coffee!! My friend got the sweet potato rosti, which she said was one of the best things she's ever eaten, and a rose latte. Service was friendly and attentive. Don't eat here, the waiters have attitude for no reason, and they don't know what syrup is, no matter how you pronounce it. Also the food was dry and chewy. SYRUP WOULD HAVE REMEDIED THIS. Atmosphere was nice tho, as were the glass bottles water was served in. read more

Love Egg Break. It is the perfect place for a great breakfast, and a nice coffee. The atmosphere is wonderful, and the staff is very polite. The food is exceptional without drifting away from comfort. I love the avocado toast, as well as the sweet potato rosti, and if you want something sweet the pain au pear is a treat. I also love the mismatched plates and the water that they infuse with various fruits. One of my favorite restaurants in the area, and usually there is no wait. It is a great place to get some work done or to have a breakfast meeting. If you have kids ask for a special tiny hot chocolate, it's very cute. 10/10 recommend! read more

2018. Atleast I thought we were. The staff at eggbreak, obviously aren't. I came in one day and waited for the waiter to come take my name down for a table as he was obviously overwhelmed and busy since he was: cleaning the tables, dishes, and in charge of the waitlist. A woman passed me and went straight to him even though he was busy, and even though she saw me standing waiting in front of her. When he took her name down I politely told him I was waiting here before her, he apologized and said ofcourse and made it seem as though he put my name in before her... suddenly 5 minutes later he cleaned a table and called her to be seated. I was obviously upset & reminded him that I was here before, and how unfair, and rude that is. As a restaurant they should be held for their actions, and they should have a proper waiting system and know who was waiting first. It was extremely unpleasant, and I was shocked thay people like him still exist in the world. read more
