I sent a message via Yelp on a Sunday night and they immediately scheduled our oven troubleshooting for Monday afternoon. Their front office staff is incredibly responsive! George (technician) arrived timely and was very thorough. He explained things to me every step of the way. He is approaching this very methodically - ok, so it's not the igniter, let's look at the next link in the chain... I saw George called out by name in other Yelp reviews, and I understand why he comes so highly recommended! He called the manufacturer to discuss his findings, but the manufacturer tech team wasn't available. He let me know he would be calling them again in the morning and that he would reach out to me with an update. I've had plenty of negative or so-so experiences with other service technicians from other companies. This experience with George / Astera is so positive that I'm posting my review even before the service is completed. In February, they told me that the cost to replace a board in the furnace was $850.00 in one of my rental properties . In the past if they quoted me a price of $850.00 the bill would be $850.00. This time in February billed me $1125.14 after quoting $850.00. When I asked to talk to the owner's daughter, the lady on the phone said that the owners daughter was on vacation and she would call me back in a week. I called again in March and asked to talk to Carrie, the owner's daughter. The same lady again said that Carrie is on vacation and she will call me back the following week. I still have not heard from Carrie. The crazy part is the February bill had a traveling charge! They have never charged me anything called traveling charge. On February 11th no one in the service industry had a traveling charge! Since I was a customer for over 15 years and Carrie and her family has provided excellent service, when I have been asking them to call me back for over 2 months, I am of the opinion that the business was sold and the new owners are not honorable. Their words don't mean a thing to them , examples: 1) Quoting me a price of $850 and charging me $1125.14 2) Telling me twice that Carrie or her father would call me back and have not. 3) Telling me Carrie is on vacation 3 times in l than two months!

Abysmal customer service, incredibly rude, and highly unprofessional…read more Here's the advice the business owner gave me after he cursed at me and cancelled my appointment - "I suggest you find another company." After an initial visit with one of their technicians who said our furnace and AC were fine, just old, and to give them time - you'll be all good. So we did this and our house was not cooling down. I schedule another technician to arrive to diagnose the problem, but the owner calls me to say they are 20 minutes out, but he is curious why they must have another tech come out. He proceeded to berate me, saying that I'm wrong, that I don't know what I'm talking about, that the tech was correct that there is nothing wrong with our AC or furnace, and that they are going to cancel my request for a technician to visit. He finished with, "I suggest you look for another company." I attempted to reason with the man, I pleaded to just have a technician show up and feel the air output for himself. Work needed to be done and he refused to hold his end of the agreement. He repeated himself, "Hey buddy, stop trying, we're not coming out. I suggest you look for another company." This company elected to curse at and scold their customer when I questioned why you cancelled the appointment. So I took their advice. I found a different company who was able to diagnose our problem. This other company identified a course of action to fix our problem, and I'm happy to say that this new company received my business for the recommended work. I hope you're giving all your customers the same belligerent attitude and advice so they can actually get their problems solved by a competent business.
