The service and sales transaction was simple and quick. Very easy. Saved a lot of time I would have spent in a chain store. Their Black Friday sale was the best. The delivery guys were very nice. Careful as well. However, they do not know how to measure correctly. They delivered my 5,000 pound washer (felt like it anyway). Claimed they could not put it on my wooden pedestal because it was way too big. It would stick out a foot and a half! Like wow. They left the washer on the floor and off they went. Never made an attempt. KNEW it was too big. Well an hour after they left I hired two neighbors to lift this machine onto my pedestal. It was actually smaller than the dryer I had standing on there. And to top it off, fit perfectly. I would say forget their delivery service and pay your neighbors. Their delivery was not worth the charge. They made zero effort according to their very inaccurate measurements. I would give Edward's a five star but because they delivery left me hanging I can't. The reason going to Edward's was because it is a small local business. 1. they do not have the appliances in stock - they have to order them [not a deal breaker for me] 2. I needed it professionally installed - they give you the name of a "dude" that will pick it up and install it for "cash, only" - this is a major red flag. We had a horrible experience with Edward's. Everything their sales guy told us turned out to be a bit of a lie, their delivery people were horrible (they didn't actually deliver the appliances, and lied to us about damage allowances) and when we complained, the store told us to go pound sand. Writing for my elderly in-laws who recently bought a $2100.00 GE French Door Refrigerator from Edwards. Wanted to give a small company business. After charging for delivery and install, workers would not hook up water-line and did not completely unpackage the fridge. The whole time, they were claiming how much better their customer service was than Orville's or Lowes and Home Depot. After an extremely slow startup period, the fridge stopped working 10 days after delivery, causing all food to defrost and spoil over night. Called the store and they said that there was nothing more that they could do and my in-laws would have to call GE. GE could not send a repair person for 8 days. Repairman claims it was a bad compressor and would take 10 days to get the part and repair it. So, still no fridge. Called Edwards asking for an exchange since they had no working fridge for about 3 weeks and was told that they could not do that. They were out of that model and would not exchange for a comparable model. So much for customer service! In-laws are looking to swap out dishwasher, stove, micro, and built-in oven. Rest assured they will not be buying them at Edwards. read more

They deliver damaged goods, get rude on the phone when you ask for a definite delivery time for the new, undamaged range and in total, acted like jerks on the phone. They have been paid in full, but offer no accommodations. A weak business model at best, a rude and childish company at the least.I pay over $3,400 and get no cooperation when I need delivery in a certain time frame. i was looking to replace my LG washer which went through a family of 5 with no problems for at least 12+ years, the salesperson recommended a GE GF W550 , "this is a better product" so he said! After using the machine for less than 3 1/2 yrs for one person, the door would not open with a clean load stuck inside! Couldn't get service for a week, I bet you can imagine what my clothes smelled like! It gets better ..... "estimated" repair cost $322 which will not be completed for yet another 12 days, part has to be ordered. The technician was also going to leave my clothes locked inside "I have to take it apart" well, don't you have to take it apart to repair it anyhow? Take it apart now leave it apart, it's not like I can use it until it's repaired then put it back together when you're done! What is most upsetting is that Edwards's recommended this machine yet they don't service GE and you're at the mercy of GE's scheduling! No washing machine for nearly 3 weeks, "love" having to go to a laundromat thank you for your recommendation! read more

Great little local appliance store. We had a really good experience here buying a freezer. There's just the two of us and while we were shown a giant refrigerator sized freezer and some other larger freezers the manager in the end suggested we get a smaller front opening 4.3 cubit foot freezer that is exactly what we needed. They offered a 10 year parts warranty and delivered and installed the freezer for us. This freezer is very efficient and perfect for a couple to store extra meat and veggies from a farm share and beef and pork we buy from a local farm. Very great customer service, good prices, good advice and a great experience all around. Support a local business and shop here. read more

We just purchased a stove from Edward's Appliances and we could not be happier with the service we received from Edward's. The salesperson was so, so informative and knowledgeable...he had an answer to every question we asked and explained things we didn't even think of. The big thing was that he was NOT pushy AT ALL, which sometimes keeps me away from smaller businesses. It was an easy process purchasing our stove. The PRICES at Edward's are comparable to anywhere else that they sell appliances. I think sometimes people think small businesses are much more expensive...NOT the case here. There was no charge for delivery. On delivery day, they came when they said they were coming which is a HUGE plus nowadays. And the delivery people actually work for Edward's and not some contracted-out company. They were so personable and friendly and they too, were very knowledgeable about our appliance. They weren't in a hurry and went through the steps to get us started. They gave us tips and pointers about the appliance too. What a wonderful buying experience! And it is so refreshing knowing there's a small business such as this where they treat their customers like people and individuals...something you don't see very much anymore with the big companies and corporations. Being treated like a human being and dealing with a company who's employees live in our own backyard is a God send. We won't be going anywhere else to buy appliances from now on. read more

Terrible terrible service by GE service received today 10/8 for a washer purchased by Edwards Appliance. I just went back to work this week after COVID-19, and was told I had to pay a $99.00 service call fee on top of my repair. I bit the bullet paid the service fee and the repair fee to fix my GE washer. I purchased from Edwards Appliance. They had to replace the mother board. We paid $383.00 for a washer that was not fixed. I got go home from work today to do a load of laundry and water was leaking from everywhere which was not happening yesterday. Trying to get through to GE Customer Service was another nightmare. On my 4 try of calling and bring transferred I was told I could not get anyone to my house tonight (even though I had all this water on my laundry room floor). This was at 7pM tonight. I I was promised an urgent service call on Friday 10/9 which I better get had to use all my towels to wipe up the water. CS terrible for GE. Very disgusted and upset the way that Edwards handles their customers. I better not have to pay another $99.00 service call or fix it fee since my washer was not leaking ANY water yesterday. A very knowledgeable sales man - Dan - was able to answer every question I had regarding refrigerators ... mine had recently broken and I knew all the things I didn't want in a fridge - From difficulty to clean to the bottom slide out freezer . This place is terrible!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They don't stand by there products. I purchased over $3000.00 worth of merchandise .The refrigerator has ripples in the door,a broken shelf and the rubber around the door is twisted. I called the store and was told to call the warranty department. I told them they just delivered it and they didn't care. After calling and leaving messages at the store I finally got a call back and was told they won't do anything about it. Purchased a GE washer and dryer 11/27/17. After using dryer 4x's a natural gas oder became apparent. Now a gas burner is on order for this new dryer without the chance of having an opportunity of the dryer being replaced with a new one. Sad for a costumer being treated like this. No satisfaction with the staff at Edwards Appliances. Tried to support the small business rather than the large box stores, I guess that didn't work. read more

I was a repeat customer to Edwards Appliance; I had a great first experience purchasing a washer. My second experience was with a dryer in which I told the sales person I needed a small, basic dryer and decided on the dryer. The first attempt at delivery was cancelled by the store after I had made arrangements for the delivery. The second delivery was more than a week later and it was discovered that the dryer would not fit down my basement stairs. NOTE: The dryer was not taken off the truck. When I called to figure a solution, I was told I could buy a more expensive dryer to which I declined. I was then told by the store manager, Cole, that the dryer not fitting was my "problem" and I would be charged a restocking fee as well as the delivery fee. Cole went on to tell me that it was my "responsibility" to measure before having the dryer delivered. NOTE: The size of the dryer was never stated by the salesperson nor was it noted on the bill of sales. Clearly, any issues are the customers' fault....extremely dissatisfied and the customer service is horrible. BUYER BEWARE! read more

NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES WITHOUT PRIOR MANUFACTURER APPROVAL.. They are full of BS. Recently brought a washer, dryer and range by GE. In less than a month washer agitator broke on a small load, found laying inside washer. Then my right front eye on range would not ignite on its own [never used since purchase]. Called for service, service guy comes out while I'm at work. Never calls me back to say what he diagnosed or that he ordered parts. I call GE to see whats going on and they inform me parts were ordered and a scheduled service date has been put in. I tell them I don't get off work until a certain time, GE customer service ensure me my schedule can be accommodated. Now a month later nothing but rude unaccomadating customer service from GE & Edwards with my time management. Manager Cole is not compassionate, nor does he return your calls promptly with urgency. Return policy says no returns or exchanged without manufacturers approval. Then manufacturer says they don't give that type of approval. [Playing games] Do not do business with them as it is poor customer service. read more

I can not even rank Edwards Appliances in Depew, NY with even 1 star of recommendation. We thought it would be best to go through and support a small local business when buying brand new appliances for our first home. Boy, were we wrong!! We have absolutely nothing positive to say about our experience with them! We bought a brand new refrigerator from them, that ended up being broken. They wouldn't take it back within 24 hours of it not being at required temperature to keep food safely in it. Instead, all they could do was send service out days later. We expressed to them that we had small children in the house and my wife is pregnant, how it was very important that we needed a working refrigerator! Also, because that's what I paid for! We waited for service to come out 5 days later to find out our refrigerator was never charged and still had air in the lines. Not happy that we bought a BRAND new refrigerator, but instead received a damaged and repaired refrigerator, we had to wait 24 hours to see if it would get cold before we could put a claim in for them to exchange our refrigerator. It did, we finally had a working refrigerator and freezer after 5 days! Within 3 days, after service was out to fix it, it was broken again and not holding required temperature to keep food safely in, which meant we lost all our food! We called Edwards Appliances and wouldn't you know, there was nothing they could do besides send service out again a week later! AGAIN, we expressed to them how we have small children in the house and how my wife is pregnant. We also expressed how we just want a new refrigerator and deserve one, how we wanted one from the beginning and with it being broken AGAIN, we weren't understanding why Edwards just wouldn't get us a new one!! We were told by Edwards to go through GE customer relations. While not understanding why the Manager, Cole was telling us there was nothing he could do, I asked to speak to his manager Donna. The store associate refused to tell me when Donna is in the store to speak to her. Since she is "in and out of the store", I asked for her to call me, I NEVER received a phone call from her. We also bought a $350 window AC unit the day we bought the refrigerator. When it was delivered with our refrigerator, they had to used a Dolly to bring it upstairs, which stained our carpets on our stairs. It ended up not fitting in our window, which then we tried to exchange it for a different size and got charged with a 20% restocking fee. We then had to wait a few more days for a smaller window AC to come in, placed it in our window and it was broken- it sounded like it was going to explode!! We called Edwards Appliances and they let us return it. I Made arrangements with the manager to bring it in the next day, to get reimbursed. I went to the store the next day like agreed upon, and no manager was there like being told he was going to be!! The associate said there was nothing he could do, who then began to mimic me, when I was already frustrated. The next day, I was finally able to return my AC unit and get reimbursed! My refrigerator was delivered on July 13, 2017 and I am still without a working refrigerator as of July 29, 2017!! Stay away from Edwards Appliances- the customer service is pitiful, you receive broke appliances, your expected to happy with damaged and repaired appliances, you need to fight to return broken appliances, you get restocking fees, and simply they do not care about their customers- as simple as a phone call! As soon as they get the sale and their money, they don't care at all about you. Lesson learned and I hope this review will help others from the headache and nightmare we have been going through! read more

I went here to compare prices for refrigerators and dishwashers. I liked the idea of buying from a local small company. Although they are good salesman, they push you towards one product line. After going home and doing research on what they recommended, I found out that they are recommending one of the worst rated products, as well as straight out lying about multiple things. After going elsewhere for quotes and good info on multiple products, I went back to get a quote on what we decided to buy. I told I was wasting my money, and when I told them the quote he then went on to lye about the product. Do yourself a favor go elsewhere. There are a bunch of other small businesses in the area that are honest, and will give you a good price. read more

Went to Edwards as a repeat customer. Had terrible service second time around, seems like the business is going downhill. Me and my friend were bullied into buying a floor model, after they sold us a better model and told us it was not there. Not having a washer for 2 weeks, I needed to buy a washer right then and there, and they knew it. Then, I made a comment about this bs to my friend after I had purchased the washer, because I was upset. After they overheard this, they attempted to steal my washer from me, and wheel it back into the store. The police almost got involved and the employees got very hostile with me. Dont bring your kids with you, and dont expect to get the appliance they sell you the first, just expect a inferior product by the time you leave. I went back to try and talk to a manager, and they attempted to remove me from the store with threats of physical violence. This is not over yet, I may seek legal action. read more

I am a female senor citizen who went to Edwards Appliances to purchase kitchen appliances. I chose them because they are family owned and they assured me if I bought GE appliances they would be able to readily service them. I asked them if they installed the appliances and they assured me that they had someone that would do that. The store called when all my appliances were in and set up a time for delivery. I reminded them I needed them to install them. They said they would set that up. The delivery people came with the 3 appliances putting the gas stove in place and got it running. The refrigerator they would not hook up the water line and the dishwasher was pushed in the corner of the kitchen, still in its box, and said the installer would take care of it. They required that I finish paying for the items that night via credit card. They also left all the card board boxes and inside wrappings that came with 3 appliances telling me they did not have room to put back on their truck to take away. After 3 days waiting for the installer I went to the store and talked to the manager. They told me they had no control over the contractor and that I could call him. They gave me a printed copy of a flyer they normally give out which said, "The contractor would call me when appliances were in to schedule a time for deliver and hook up." That did not happen. Edwards delivered the items themselves and demanded payment. I called the number of their contractor. The call went to voice mail and then you couldn't leave a message because the mail box was full! That tells you Edwards, even though they told me they had informed the contractor twice of installing my appliances, they got the same full mail box. I finally found someone on my own to install the appliances . My last complaint is , I was lead to believe I would be getting a rebate of $500 since I had bought 4 appliances from the same manufacturer. Wrong, they had to be GE Profile appliances. I bought 2 that were Profile and 2 that were just GE. Edwards knew that but didn't tell me. They just wanted to make a sale. BEWARE if you buy from them read more

Never, ever, purchase anything from this store. They do not do a good job. They did not install everything and will not return or refund. Item was not even used and it was less than 24 hours upon delivery. The store manager is rude and hangs up on you when he does not want to deal with the situation. Matters should not become so hard that you can not even have a reasonable person to speak to. They always have a way of dealing with handing the problem. Saying, oh we don't do this or that. Lying, telling you that they do not take back used item. if you let them know the item was not used and want to return it, they will have yet another excuse. extremely poor customer service. They should not be in business. Best bet is to purchase from the larger stores, it would be less trouble and the customer service would be much better. They need someone who is less nasty and sarcastic to the public. I am actually surprised that someone like this is the so called manager of this store. But the policy of them and how they handle operations and people is so much like a screw you attitude. Once you purchase and less than 24 hours and not even using the item, you should be able to return it. They really know how to put the screws to you. I've shopped around to every appliance place and found this local business to be one of the best experiences top to bottom. The sales staff is knowledgable and professional and easy to work with. I had a whale of a time finding the right dishwasher through Lowes and Home Depot- they both gave me a huge headache about installing it. Edwards was able to do the install with no concerns. They were a tiny bit higher in price, but only a few bucks, worth it by a longshot, especially with the 10 year warranty they threw in. I will give them a look for every appliance I need for the rest of my life. read more

Negative experience- I was in need of a new dryer so I decided to bypass the big box stores and give the small local appliance shop a visit. I was greeted by the salesman and told him what I was looking for.First the salesman pointed me in the direction of a particular dryer and on his recommendation I purchased the dryer, scheduled the delivery and they delivered a washer not a dryer. So i had to reschedule for the next day and take more time off from work so they could deliver the correct appliance which they did. The hot point dryer i purchased on there recommendation lasted me all of about 14months. When I called to ask if there was anything they could do they told me no call the manufacturer directly or they would schedule a repair i'd be fully responsible to pay for. I didnt appreciate the way I was spoken to on the phone. They were very nice when I needed to purchase but not as sweet when I had the issue. Thought a smaller local business would try a bit harder to keep the local consumer satisfied. read more

I recently purchased a washer and dryer (GE) which I do like a lot. After reading the Installation Manual on the dryer, it became apparent that the installers did not give the very best that money could buy in an exhaust. After calling the store, two employees (one being Colin, the manager) insisted their exhaust if fine and they use the same one for every dryer every time one is purchased. It is a flexible foil type. According to GE's Installation Manual, that particular style of exhaust is the third choice - not their first choice or even second choice. Wrong style exhausts are what cause house fires sometimes. Pretty important I would say. Just imagine losing everything you own if that were to happen. (For us baby boomers that is even worse because we have accumulated so much!) With that being said, most people would love to spend extra to get the very best. Colin showed no sympathy when I relayed this to him. He listened to me "talk" for awhile but eventually hung up on me. He did not "get it" or seem to think I had a right to question it. He obviously was told to get rid of any complaining customers. Both employees I spoke with bragged about the fact that their exhaust was not the plastic type that burns. Well that is a relief because that kind is illegal now, but after I reviewed You Tube videos, I saw one guy set fire (in the driveway) to a "flexible foil style exhaust" very easily. Then there was another flexible aluminum style that did not burn and he stated it was new on the market and very good, and another yet that was more rigid aluminum which was top pick. With all these styles out there, I felt I had good reason to ask Edwards Appliance for the model number of the one they use "on every dryer they sell". Nope! They don't have that available to give me. They get these as part of a kit from a PARTS SUPPLY STORE. They do not have the information such as name or model to give me. This is unavailable to the public. Usually in business money buys you the best if you want the best. In this case, I cannot buy the best quality exhaust GE recommends in their manual from Edwards Appliance. This really saddens me. To be fair, I want to state that I do love the GE washer and dryer that I purchased from them. Technology has come a long way. The price was fair as well. The salesman the day I went in and picked this out was superb. Sale was quick and efficient. I would buy an appliance from them again for that. read more

WARNING! The "younger" sales guy (note: he's not young except by comparison to his counterpart) is nothing but RUDE AND OBNOXIOUS!!!! I was shopping for a basement dehumidifier,. After seeing a sign outside Edwards for weeks now, as I drive by, advertising a dehumidifier "sale," I stopped in. Turns out they weren't "ON" sale; they have ONE (obscure brand) "FOR" for sale! Having never heard of it before, I thanked the older gentleman helping me and said I might be back; I wanted to look up the brand & reviews, For some reason, the "younger" guy found that ridiculously comical and proceeded to mock me about "researching dehumidifiers." First to my face, and then from behind the wall--the cowardly doofus. Perhaps he did me a favor, though, as we're remodeling and in the market for a central AC unit, new washer/dryer and a full kitchen appliance suite upgrade. Definitely saved me some time by scratching one potential source off my shopping list. I wouldn't buy a lightbulb from that guy. My advice? Orville's on William/Transit. They were actually helpful--and carried more than one brand. I left with a 4+-star Frigidaire that I located on Amazon for only $3 less. I did feel bad for the older man who greeted me at Edwards, though. On my way out, after I told him I surely wouldn't be buying from them because that other dude is SUPER rude, he reminded me they're open this evening, just in case. "FAT" CHANCE.
