The delivery guys were very nice. Careful as well. However, they do not know how to measure correctly. They delivered my 5,000 pound washer (felt like it anyway). Claimed they could not put it on my wooden pedestal because it was way too big. It would stick out a foot and a half! Like wow. They left the washer on the floor and off they went. Never made an attempt. KNEW it was too big. Well an hour after they left I hired two neighbors to lift this machine onto my pedestal. It was actually smaller than the dryer I had standing on there. And to top it off, fit perfectly. I would say forget their delivery service and pay your neighbors. Their delivery was not worth the charge. They made zero effort according to their very inaccurate measurements. I would give Edward's a five star but because they delivery left me hanging I can't. The pictures show clearly how the washer fits and it's back farther than the dryer.

Today, the parts, service and repair people who were in the back have expanded to the entire facility and are keeping up the tradition of excellence. My 19-year-old dishwasher finally wore out. Me, being "thrifty" aka "cheap" priced a new one at Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot before heading here. Each of them had a model to fit my requirements (24 inch stainless steel front and tub) on sale. None had the one I wanted on display or in stock. I would have to order and wait. Only Lowes had someone in the store who knew how to find a dishwasher in their system without getting help. The appliance department in Best Buy looks like someone went through and shoved everything into a pile. I saved the best store till last. The dishwasher I wanted was on display in the front of the store. The knowledgeable salesperson knew the price and answered my questions. Within a minute I knew the price here was better than any of the big box prices. I ordered my dishwasher on the spot. It was in stock, delivered, and installed at the date and time promised. Bravo!

When I threw my blankie into the dryer I pulled a chair up acrost from the dryer so I could immediately pull the blanket out if I saw feathers start to fly. A man came by and said excuse me and passed by me. I said I was sorry to be in the way but I was watching my blanket carefully for feather leakage. He then told me if I would sit there he would sit on the table next to me and announced he was in the army years ago and never thought of women till he got back here and now he thinks of them all the time but he doesn't want a wife. I stared astounded. He then said he was going to move to Turkey to leave this country and I said "Um, tell the girls you are American and you can have your pick. He didn't get it. I saw an older man on the other side of the facility turn his back so we could not see him laughing silently. He also told me he got up at 4:30 am and had all his chores done and would be going home to a couple beers, TV,or a Video game or two. I stepped out to smoke and leave him be. When I walked back in to check my comforter, he said " I quit in 2000 when my Mom died. We smoked like fiends but it was easy after she was gone to quit." I told him I abhore people who drink. He said "Yeah, I like to drink once in a while." I told him I knew a lot of people who beat the crap out of someone after drinking but did not know a soul who beat anyone up after smoking a cigrette. The man on the other side is smiling and openly staring at this point. I called to check on my son and ended the call with "I'll see you in ten minutes." I hung up and my new friend said "OH, was that your boyfriend? I informed him I did not need a man as I was growing my own at home! The man acrost the way laughed out loud as I left. Goodness gracious! By the way, back on topic: This laundry mat is clean and maintained well and never runs out of change or soap and takes old and new fives and tens. 14 quarters to run the triple loader for a comforter and a quarter gets you 12 minutes dry time. Good place to be. Take something to read if you don't want to make new friends and an excellent place to people watch.

It's in a convenient location but I just can't forget the garbage laying around outside the door and the condom on the front sidewalk. I highly recommend skipping this place and heading over to Top Shelf, which is spacious, has new washers, and is always super clean. I'd never go back to this place unless I absolutely needed to.
