Thoroughly impressed after a completely satisfying experience across the board:
This was my first visit to Shades Unlimited after a Google search, and I decided to try their handiwork based on the services offered, the website that shows her team with actual faces behind the business. I must say, it really fulfills a need that many people seem to have forgotten or is foreign to them: quality merchandise, custom services for your existing item or a purchased product. The name is appropriate for the shop because truly, the shade possibilities are unlimited.
But beyond product and selection, the courteous, personable, and efficient service is perfect. I dealt with the owner, Laurie, and she truly impressed me with the quality of her business operations.
If you appreciate details and something personal rather than off the shelf made on in assembly line far away and sold through a big box store, Shades Unlimited is THE place to visit as its line of services is unique to the shop. The line of lamp shades available in the shop are Made in the USA. Why should you care? Because you are supporting ourselves, and when you support your own, then you can support others. And patronizing Shades Unlimited, you are also supporting the local community rather than boosting stock prices for faceless corporations.
The shop has a wide variety of shade choices available, finials, some lamp possibilities, and when stop and think about it, anyone who enjoys attention to detail regarding interiors should take a look.
The staff at this business can completely reconfigure your lampshades to your specifications instead of increasing the size of landfills unnecessarily. It's more personal and more meaningful rather than something thousands of people across the country have. You can get a product that is as unique as yourself.
What surprised me most was the pricing of a job that was significantly lower (33% of what I paid elsewhere) compared to a virtually identical job. I would have waited a month at the other shop I had used for a similar service, but Laurie estimated a week or so for the work to be completed. Much to my surprise, it was complete within three days. That was the proverbial "icing on the cake". Some might feel that the abundant parking including reserved spaces specifically for this shop.would be the chocolate sprinkles on that icing.
The selection here is superb, too, and prices are remarkably reasonable as well. Laurie was able to revitalize an antique so that I can fully enjoy it. Folks, get an old lamp that you like from your attic, online, at an estate sale, or garage sale, and Laurie can make you love it. read more
