Me, being "thrifty" aka "cheap" priced a new one at Best Buy, Lowes and Home Depot before heading here. Each of them had a model to fit my requirements (24 inch stainless steel front and tub) on sale. None had the one I wanted on display or in stock. I would have to order and wait. Only Lowes had someone in the store who knew how to find a dishwasher in their system without getting help. The appliance department in Best Buy looks like someone went through and shoved everything into a pile. I saved the best store till last. The dishwasher I wanted was on display in the front of the store. The knowledgeable salesperson knew the price and answered my questions. Within a minute I knew the price here was better than any of the big box prices. I ordered my dishwasher on the spot. It was in stock, delivered, and installed at the date and time promised. Bravo!

They will not swap one and they will not refund me. I will no longer shop at that store or any other home depot.

I was told no refund until it arrived at the store?! I asked for a manager because I couldn't believe that a national chain would charge me (credit card was billed the 12th) for something they couldn't supply, then refuse a refund. Guess what? The manager said the same thing! I eventually called their 800 number and Miguel was able to cancel the order for me. Are the staff at Home Depot stupid? Incompetent? Both? The owner was attentive and gave me the time to address what my problems were..did I need a curb or a skirt, a rail? A ledge?? As hardware goes, it was a unique opportunity. We selected a ledge and she found the screws and drill bits I needed to set it all in place... I needed #8*1/2 wood screws and I didn't need to go digging around looking for them myself and the 5/32" drill bit only cost 2.80. In fact, when I was walking in, a customer came out with a window pane cut with 5 tulip shaped pieces of glass in an antique window!! That's fuckin' brilliant! I wish I lived closer. I'd shop there every day. They have drinks and snacks and paint and tools!! They're really into helping their customers.
