I sent an email regarding thei to he and my dentist in which Dr. Fein replied and denied he had charged me for a deep cleaning and that he never said that my filling wasn't done correctly. He made up a bunch of words and replied to the email. It was in total BS. He actually lied in this email! Read the good reviews but also read the bad ones. This guy apparently does a good job on most but anyone he doesn't do a good job on is refused any type of follow up care or refund. It's a crap shoot and too expensive of one to take. This guy took way more time in replying to my email and lying about what he said then he ever took explaining the bill or the process to me. He words his response email as though he is so professional. He's not. I guarantee he charges everyone an extra "deep cleaning fee" whether they need it or not. Go elsewhere!

In the end, I decided to get my tooth extracted since it was back where my wisdom teeth were. Dr. Palumbo explained everything in detail throughout all of my appointments. I scheduled a follow up appointment to have the tooth extraction done. From time of arrival to departure, the extraction took about 20-25 minutes. No joke. Dr. Palumbo then prescribed me with some medication and prescription mouth wash. They even called/faxed in my prescriptions ahead of time for me. When I arrived at a local, popular pharmacy that has 3 letters in it, the prescriptions weren't ready and the line to pick up prescriptions was super long. I have been a patient at this dental office for years and had always had a good experience. Before the procedure, I was informed that the chlorhexidine would be an additional charge, and I clearly stated that I DID NOT want it. Despite declining it, it was still applied, and I was then required to pay for it. I do not believe it is fair or appropriate to provide and charge a patient for an additional service after the patient has clearly declined it. To make matters worse, when I tried to address the situation, the front desk staff member was rude to me instead of handling my concern professionally. After being a loyal patient for years and recommending this office to many families, this experience completely changed my opinion of this practice. This is not just about the money it is about respecting a patient's decision and treating patients with professionalism and respect. They put you in the chair, create panic, claim something "urgent," and pressure you into two extreme options--one being removing the entire tooth. Then they insist insurance "won't cover it" so they can demand full payment upfront. I later confirmed with my insurance that the real in-network cost for the exact procedure code is $1,035. This office charged $2,500 while pretending to be in-network. My insurance also explained that for an in-network dentist, the amount on the insurance fee schedule is the maximum they're allowed to charge. In-network providers are contractually required to accept that allowed fee as full payment and write off the difference, not "balance bill" patients or bypass insurance altogether. Yet this office charged 2.5 times the allowed in-network rate while luring patients under the claim of being in-network. THIS IS FRAUD. Nothing about this place is ethical. Their behavior is corrupt, greedy, manipulative, and disgusting. The hygienist and office manager are fully involved--they know the script, they push the fear, and they enforce the cash-grab. I walked in expecting dental care and instead got emotionally manipulated and financially exploited. Stay far away from this place. They do not care about your health--only your wallet.
