They make an effort to really care about their patients and are very transparent about both the services available and the pricing. Because they require you to pay out-of-pocket for each service, they are very transparent about costs and what is likely covered / not covered by insurance. Their staff will submit a claim to your insurance company (to be paid directly to you) - so your effort is minimal. Overall - they make the experience of going to the dentist / ortho as pleasant as possible, and unlike many medical providers - customer service and satisfaction really matter.

Unfortunately, a 3D scan by my root canal dr showed I had to have a tooth extracted. My first time and I was terrified. He referred me to Sang Kim and I went there that day. Sang Kim met with me for about 5 minutes and said he would be pulling my tooth right then. I was shocked, this meeting was to be a consultation! The office staff came in 1 minute later, quickly ran through the procedure (with generic images online), had me sign a consent form, and had me pay over $2,000 RIGHT THEN. I have insurance, but they wanted their cash before issuing to insurance. They even said if my insurance sent me a credit, to bring the check to them! What?! While sitting their confused and now broke, all I could think was this guy was recommended by my dentist and I trust my dentist. BIG MISTAKE! If it feels wrong, it is wrong. Here is the situation, my tooth (a previous root canal tooth) got infected to the point it had deteriorated the bone under the gum. It was the infection that hurt and the reason I went to the dentist. Was it painful, yes. But not so painful I couldn't wait a few days to let some antibiotics clear it up before surgery. Sang Kim did not give me that option. Nor did he give me the option for sedation. 10 minutes after forking over a huge sum of money, I was in the chair getting numbed. Here is the first of what was soon to be the most painful experience EVER! The tech didn't put the surface numbing gel everywhere the dr would inject the numbing needle. When he hit the un-numbed area in my mouth it was like my brain was struck with lightning. I screamed with pain. He didn't stop - just said this was the most painful part. A few minutes later, he started pulling. I would tell him, "I can feel this, it hurts!" He didn't stop. Again I tell him, "I can feel this, it hurts!". He didn't stop. It is so painful, I start crying uncontrollably. He only stopped when he had the tooth pulled. After a small break, he resumed work to clear out the infected areas. AGAIN I tell him, "this hurts, I can feel it!". He didn't stop. I start crying again, tears flowing down my face, He doesn't stop. I start screaming in pain. He only stops to bring in more staff and shuts the door - apparently more afraid about those in the waiting room than the excruciating pain I was enduring. After another small break, so I could get my crying under control, he returns for the bone grafting - again I CAN FEEL IT AND IT HURTS! At this point I'm physically pushing their hands/instruments away from my face. Once he is done, I'm laying there crying. He nor his staff did anything to help me. All they would say was "That was a bad infection". So I ask, then why not let me take antibiotics before the procedure, or give me the option for sedation. They said nothing. I felt so violated! I'm in so much pain and crying so hard I could barely see to drive home. No one should EVER go to this place! All he cared about was getting paid - he showed no regard for my wellbeing. The surgery was performed 10/2/2025.

Honestly, you don't find many companies here in the WMA with their care and sincerity, and their customer service is as good as it gets. Surgeries were great, and Dr. Carlos was so accommodating to an urgent appointment after one surgery, to ensure me my bleeding was normal. Becoming a patient of Dr. Carpio's raised my bar impossibly and I am afraid I am now spoiled for life. Dr. Carpio did an implant for me this year, to replace a molar that is been long missing. No implant is a simple task, but my case was particularly challenging. I needed a bone graft first and then a gum graft because having lost the tooth so long ago had left me with none that could support the implant. Dr. Carpio was not only super skilled and knew how to deal with every complication my case presented, she was also incredibly caring. She explained to me everything, did a great job at minimizing pain after procedures, and managed to put me at ease at the hardest times. I never waited at her office ever and yet she spent a considerable amount of time with me at every visit. The implant turned out to be impeccable and now I have a full mouth of teeth again. Dr. Carpio also referred me to a wonderful general dentist, when my previous one did not step up to the task and I was left in a pickle. Dr. Carpio's office staff also follows the example she sets in excellence and kindness. Everybody from receptionists to hygienists have been wonderful, but especially Aniko - who is I think the best dental assistant I've ever seen. She welcomes you with a smile, calls to check on you after visits, helps you out with last minute appointments, and even watches out for your financial interests. Besides all that, she is so cool that you'd actually want to be friends with her.

I got surprised by the cost that Dr Favagehi charge for 1 thoot implant $5000. I didn't have any other choice since Dr Favagehi participated with my dental insure so I let him did the work. I visited Dr Favagehi for 1 year until the thoot implant process was completed. I remembered i look at the mirror and I didn't like how the thoot implant look in my mouth. I ask Dr Favagehi of why the thoot implant looks like that he told me " Oh it looks like that because you lost bone " . Well I didn't know any better and I just accepted my faith. I am now telling this history because 8 years after I got the thoot implant that Dr Favagehi did infected I ask my dentist what I should do he told me to call Dr Favagehi and ask if would he be able to see me now since he did the thoot implant. I call Dr Favagehi to ask to please let me come in to get check.
