First of all, this is not the same practice. Dr. H purchased this practice from the previous owner. He is a nice guy, but he seems very concerned about making money... literally at his patients' expense. Obviously, this is only my opinion, but don't say I didn't warn you. He would make a superb used car salesman. He also told me that I might have Stage 4 cancer and never followed up with me. I was destroyed. He was too busy trying to sell me Invisalign. I have to say that I am extremely disappointed and feel that my time was wasted. I called and asked the receptionist if they had a special offer for first time patients. She tells me that they do and we proceed to set an appointment. I requested the price several times over the phone but was told not to worry and that she would e-mail me the information. This was my first mistake!! Well, two weeks later, it was time to go to my appointment and still no e-mail. I figure that the receptionist just forgot and since they had such good reviews that I didn't need to worry. My second mistake!! I show up to my appointment on time and fill out the necessary paperwork and am shortly led back to my examination room. The dental technician is very professional and pleasant. Within five minutes however, she mentions that she was going to need to take an extra x-ray that was going to cost more money. This immediately set off a red flag in my mind so I requested that she find out exactly how much my "special first time visit" was going to cost me. She does and comes back to tell me that it was going to cost me over $350!! For a first time patient special? Seriously? I immediately thank the technician for her time and proceed to the front office to tell them how disappointed I was that they were so dishonest with me and that I was choosing to take my business elsewhere since my first time patient special was going to cost me over $350!! At this time the receptionist then informs me that they don't offer a first time patient special!! Seriously, then why did you make an appointment for me when that is what I specifically asked for? Then the receptionist insists that I pay $76 for the x-rays that were taken!!! At this point I am simply furious that not only was I lied to, but the receptionist was still insisting I pay for something that I don't want. It took my ten minutes, and a threat to go find doctor Stringham myself, before she finally, and with a lot of attitude, got her office manager on the phone. Well, I'm expecting a little sympathy figuring the manager would at least be more professional then the horrid receptionist that I had been dealing with. I was wrong, agian. Not only did she also want me to pay but she chided me for coming to the appointment without receiving an e-mail from her front office team!!! It was unbelievable!! After another exhausting round of arguing with the unprofessional office manager, I finally got them to forget trying to charge me for something that I never signed up for!!! Suffice it to say, I will never make the mistake of going to this dental office ever again!!! read more

I love my teeth. Take very good care of them. 33 years and not a single cavity or other tooth malady. A trip to the dentist is actually kind of fun for me so that saying about a trip to the dentist... Dr. Stringham is great! He's a laid back guy who's a lot of fun and likes to quote Yoda. Folks, I drive all the way from Alexandria to his office on Chain Bridge Rd in Fairfax at 6:30am (to get to my 7:00am appt.). He's good. His office staff is well trained, courteous and helpful. Most recently, I forgot that I had an appointment at all. Deanna called with a reminder and I realized that I couldn't make it. She said, "no problem, you like the 7:00am time? We just had a cancellation tomorrow, can you come?" Yes. I could. My hygenists , Bree and Barbara, are very gentle and thorough. Get those pearly whites good and clean, my dears. I take pride in them. They do too. If you're in the market for a new dentist and you're in the Fairfax area (or don't mind the trip), give Dr. Stringham a try. I bet you'll like him too. The Best Office in Northern Va! How do I know this? I am a Dental Hygienist. I worked as a temp for Dr. Stringham as well as many other dentists in the area. I have had the opportunity to see first hand the work of many dentists, and many are very good. But, I chose Dr. Stringham for my own dentist because I know he does excellent work. He also keeps up on the newest innovations in dentistry. I have never had one bit of pain while having work done. The entire staff is caring and competent. There is virtually no turn over of employees. That says a lot about Dr. Stringham and the entire staff. I highly recommend this office. Btw, keep flossing! read more

I have been going to Dr. Stringham's office my entire life and I have always had an excellent experience. The receptionists stay on top of your appointment, which you make months in advance and always forget about anyway. The hygienists are incredibly friendly - make sure to ask for Brie. The only way to describe Dr. Stringham is efficient, but thorough. He can quickly analyze the situation in a matter of moments. Typically I go for general cleanings, but I also had a crown installed by Dr. Stringham several years ago. We discussed my options to address the issue, and after determining that the crown would be best, we set up an appointment to have it installed. Dr. Stringham made the crown in house and I must say that the machine looked impressive. After some anesthesia Dr. Stringham went to work and I had a new tooth just like that! If you are new to the area or looking for a new dentist in the Northern Virginia area, Dr. Stringham is the only choice in town. read more

This is the best dentist I've gone to! I have very sensitive gums and have experienced a lot of pain from other dentists, but this place is great. Everyone you talk to is so nice and kind. Scheduling appointments is quick and the receptionists are so so knowledgeable about insurance and all that. If you can, get Bree!! She is an awesome hygienist that makes you feel comfortable and she's so sweet. I love getting my teeth cleaned by her. And Dr. Hedyati is great as well. My daughter went to this practice when the son was still in the practice, and she loved Dr Matt. But since the new guy came on Dr Hedayati, his office staff have taken over the practice, and I had a problem with his office manager. I had questions pertaining to the charges for my son's treatment plan, and was told by the office manager that our plan was the problem in the difference in my charges. I called back to cancel my son's appointment and she played it off as if I may not have spoken to her, and that it may have been my misunderstanding of what she said. At that point I had enough. My son liked Dr Hedayati, but if your staff is incompetent, then that is a reflection of who you are. read more

I LOVE going to my dentist. Bree is the best, most gentle hygenist I've ever had (and I've been through a lot). I have a case of Sleep Apnea and I could never get a good night's sleep with the CPAP machine. When I consulted with "Dr Bill" about using a snore guard appliance he knew just what I needed, got me quickly fitted and supplied. It doesn't bother me (it's so comfortable that I always forget to put it on and have to get out of bed to get it) and I get a GREAT night's sleep. Thorough yet gentle care and transparent costs. My cleanings have been very professional, thorough, and gentle. This was the first place to suggest using a numbing cream prior to a cleaning (no additional charge) to avoid what had previously been a rather painful experience given some root exposure with my back teeth. Sally and Bree have both been great. Thorough yet gentle. Sally was especially good about providing educational information. Was a bit frustrated once with a substitute hygienist but to be fair she made every effort to address my concerns. The lady at the desk is positively wonderful. She will pull up exactly what each procedure will cost you out of pocket, and what insurance will cover. They sort out billing and payment on the same day as your visit with no surprises. Dr. Stringham is friendly and has done a great job. My mother initially sought him out for a second opinion about her dental care. When he found out that another dentist had sold her an expensive hard night-guard that was causing misalignment, he cautioned her about the implications and provided a soft night-guard free of charge. read more

The hygienist was the best--lots of up-front discussion about their approach, my needs, etc. Very gentle and thorough. So sweet with my baby who came along for the cleaning and helpful in preparing me for bringing my older son in for his first visit. I had been dissatisfied with a Herndon area dentist and was relieved to find the right fit here. It's not a snazzy new office, but clean and fine. I went to have a loose implant fixed. Dr. Strongham was unable to get the crown off so he drilled a hole in the crown. Following this, he stated that the screw on the abutment was "wacky" and he did not have the correct size attachment. This went on for some time, before he told me to go back to my original dentist or another specialist. Also, he was supposed to look at another tooth which he did not even address. I expected him to at least examine or take an x-ray. So essentially, NOTHING was accomplished! I now have a hole in this tooth, and it feels much looser than before, due to the pulling and attempt to take it off. Finally, I had to pay $200. I feel like I got robbed, a terrible feeling and very dissapointing experience. Their website states, "We want to provide the best possible care for all of our patients..", but that would have resulted in a very different experience for me today, not have my tooth in worse condition, and certainly not be charged when nothing was done. read more

The staff is professional and friendly -- you will NOT feel like just another number at this office. The dental cleanings are gentle and thorough, and I've never experienced any pain or discomfort after any of my visits.
