Decent food, really bad pizza..the dough is not fermented like NY style pizza should be. No chew or bite to the crust, sauce is sweet.

Consistently good. The food is hot AND delicious. Small place, bring your own wine. One of our favorite places in the Washingtonville area.

Which for 3 reasons is completely wrong 1. allergies. he doesn't know me and what i could possibly be allergic to. 2. If you want your pasta sauce to stick to the pasta then putting olive oil on it is not the way to go 3. If i had wanted that i would have asked. Waiter did not ask and took it upon himself to do it. Another flaw is the owner. Very nice man but talks a lot while you dine. Customer service is appreciated greatly but while i'm trying to eat it would be nice to keep the conversation to my guest and I. The straw that broke the camels back was when i had ordered a pizza for delivery. I got my pizza and when i opened the box a german cockroach crawled out from under the pie. I do know that most places have some kind of roaches so this was not something that would stop me from going there although I think a further inspection of delivery items would be nice. Like I said the food is great and I will continue to eat here. Room for improvement but already a really great place.

Want to "eat out" then go elsewhere! You'll thank me…read more This place has an identity crisis and the owner is trying to be the all and all of food for the immediate area. Since there really isn't any diners or food places in the immediate area I understand how the owner is trying to fill a need but I think they should stick to being either a great pizza shop or great small restaurant cause in my opinion you can't perfect both. Even top chefs can cook almost anything but they almost always specialize in specific cuisines that become their master craft. I stopped in for lunch and got some pizza and it wasn't the worst I've had but it certainly gave the worst pizza I've had a run for its money. It's almost like this place is vying for the worst pizza award. The menu here is insane!! They have everything a highway diner would have including "deserts" as if they were also a make shift baskin Robbin's. Full disclosure I have not had any of there one million restaurant style dishes but if mastery of the basic pizza eludes this place I'm not even touching a burger because if you can't make a burger you shouldn't be in the food business and I'm afraid to even try a burger from here. Stop & Shop in the same lot probably has better pre-made food to go and that's saying a lot.

Staff greeted us immediately and was very cordial. We settled on a few pre made slices and garlic knots. The chicken bacon was on red sauce and had ranch on the side. I'm not familiar with the sliced made that way but none the less it was a taste sensation. The white slice was a perfect blend of cheese which can be rare to find. The margarita pizza was a fun blend of goodness. All the dough was met somewhere in the middle of too under cooked and over done. The crust was perfect. The garlic knots were very oily but still satisfied the palate in the oily, garlicky greatness. I would definitely stop by again and try other slices as well as entrees. The shop was super clean, the seating area was quaint and the restroom very updated and clean. The cost of 4 slices and 6 knots was $20 so that was a fantastic delight on my wallet. It was an overall win for a pizza night.

Shrimp marinara was very good, large size plump shrimp cooked just right. Tangy, sweet and savory marinara sauce and plenty of it, angel hair just right, definitely a full meal. For the grandma slice, just right amount of cheese and tomato and not littered with fresh basil. I do enjoy that slice was cooked just right with a blistered crust and no burnt char. Overall great first impression.

Let me start with that panzerotto, because it deserves its own paragraph. This is the kind of dish you would have to fly to Italy to find, and somehow Cascarino's is making it right here. It was the single best thing I ate, and I am still thinking about it. The grandma pie was phenomenal, perfectly crisp on the bottom, pillowy inside, with that beautiful golden crust that so few places actually nail. The regular pizza held its own too, with solid sauce, great cheese pull, and a crust that had real character. But what ties it all together is the ownership. This is a true owner-operated spot, and you feel it in every detail, the care in the kitchen, the warmth at the counter, the consistency in every bite. When the owner is on site, this place is firing on all cylinders. Five star service, no question. And order the rice ball, packed with cheese and meat and hotttt out of the oven. Cascarino's is, without a doubt, the best pizza and Italian food restaurant in the area. It is worth the drive. I have made it twice in two weeks and am already thinking about a third trip.

The pizza still has that solid NY-style crunch, good flavor, and plenty of topping options. Whether grabbing a quick slice or ordering from the full menu, the food is consistently well-prepared and hits the mark. What really stands out is the consistency. The owner clearly takes pride in the operation, the kitchen stays on point, and the staff keeps things moving. It's not easy to maintain quality over time, but Cascarino's has managed to do exactly that. Pizza Beast Verdict: Still one of the most reliable pizza spots in the area. Great slices, solid menu, and a place I keep coming back to for a reason. Rating: 5/5 Beast Slices

It's not something I usually order since I normally like to try specials or different pasta dishes, but it was the perfect choice. It was fried perfectly, and the marinara sauce had just the right amount of spice to give it an extra kick. To finish the meal, I ordered the tiramisu, and it was the perfect ending. It was moist, rich, and soaked just enough to give it that classic tiramisu flavor without being overpowering. Between the delicious food, the extensive menu, and the overall experience, Cosimo's is definitely a place I'll be coming back to. There are still so many dishes I want to try!
