    Killman Heating & Air

Killman Heating & Air is one of our favorite companies to work with. Their excellent customer…read moreservice is unmatched, and the pride they take in their work is apparent from start to finish. We recently had been having heat issues in our building, and in one day Andy Killman was able to personally oversee the installation of a new unit to fix our problem. While they ran into unforeseen delays and snags, they kept at the job and knocked it out in a timely manner. On top of that, they stuck with the original quote they gave us which was greatly appreciated. As they were loading up their equipment, we noticed a totally separate and possibly minor issue - a vent that we didn't need and might have been contributing to our heat problem. Without skipping a beat he had one of his workers climb up on a ladder and fix the vent, no questions asked. You can't go wrong working with these fine folks. Thank y'all for everything you do.

If you find yourself needing HVAC service or replacement in Lexington County, SC I cannot recommend…read morea better company than KIllman Heating & Air. They did not try to oversell me like some of the other HVAC companies and their recommendations were exactly what I needed. Recently we had some issues with the ductwork/damper and they came out the next day to inspect it and make sure the new HVAC unit was running correctly. Next day service is rare for such a minor issue. Killman Heating & Air is a class act.

After being out of power for five days during our storm Helene in September, 2024 I decided to have…read morea Generac Whole Home Generator installed. After getting bids from three companies, I went with Carolina Conditions. They were the lowest cost ($4,500 under my highest bid) and could do it in the most timely manner. The install crew, lead by CJ Van Etten arrived on time and got right to work. I did tell CJ how I wanted a neat appearing installation. Of course during the day I had numerous questions, and each one was answered with easy to understand replies. I was very impressed with their attention to details during the install, while always being aware of my property and plants surrounding the generator site. The whole install team did a great job and as the customer, I was delighted with my install! SC Stimson

I have never reviewed any other company but I feel I must warn people about this company. They did…read morea terrible job at my home in Lexington, S.C. I had to have all the work redone by another company and it cost a lot of money. The county inspectors, Dominion Energy and two master electricians from other companies looked at their work and were shocked at the poor workmanship. They left the outside meter box in an unsafe condition with exposed wires and dangling master on/off switch. They used the wrong wiring and the wrong sized breaker in the inside breaker boxes. They destroyed every surge protector in the house as well as several appliances. They offered to fix some of it, but after seeing the quality of their work, I was not willing to trust them again. They were also way too dismissive of the scope of the problems they had caused; arguing that it wasn't going to require much to fix things. I felt like they focused on the need to avoid costs of repair rather than how to make things right in what was clearly a major screwup by a new employee who was way in over his head on this job. Add to all this, they said they would compensate me for some of the cost of fixing their mess and I never saw a cent. The company may be okay for HVAC work but I sure don't recommend them for electrical work.
