OH MY GEEEE I loved this! I picked off the green onion easily and was able to enjoy each pieces so very much not sure what sauce they used but that's what made me love it so much. It had crunch from inside and out; I highly recommend this - hands down one of my favourite rolls ever! (Also overheard the server recommend this to a lot of customers too)! * curry chicken karaage bento - by the time I got to this portion, I was already very, very full but still wanted to at least have a bite of everything before packing it up swipe to last pic to see what it consists of Overall, I liked the salad the best as the dressing was just delectable! Curry chicken karaage was tasty and suuuper filling (so much that I had to pack up 3/4 of it). Miso can never go wrong, the egg pudding was unique but I can live without and didn't try the radish as I don't like radishes In conclusion, I enjoyed the sashimi and sushi roll the best (but that's my fault for ordering too much at once; my eyes were bigger than my stomach ). Price-wise, the bento was definitely the best as it came with the main dish + 4 other complementary ones. The sashimi and rolls were not bad; I'd say it's pretty average price. Service was incredible; they were all so super friendly! It made the experience even better

The tonkatsu ramen was delicious and a large serving, we barely managed to finish our bowls! The tempura shrimp is probably some of the best in the city, they were lightly battered but still crispy. When my husband proposed the idea of us to move from San Francisco Bay Area to Saskatoon, my first…read morequestion was... "What's the sushi situation over there?"... -- which he honestly answered he's sure there are but might be fusions and not as great as Asia's or the Bay Area's. I kid you not, months before we departed on our big adventure to live in the prairies, i ate sushi 3x a week wishfully thinking it will satisfy my cravings once we get to Saskatoon. However, two foodie friends i made through Instagram recommended i check out Sushi Raku and I'm thankful i did! Sushi Raku satisfied my sushi cravings and it is ultimately probably the best i've had in Saskatoon. You might wonder why only 3 stars? -- I feel like if i gave it a 5, it'll be unfair to my sushi spots in California or New York or Asia that are definitely on another level of frickkkken sushi freshness. Sushi Raku's cuts or sashimi are insane. They definitely don't get stingy with that. Their Salmon sashimi was bomb. They also had Toro when I came for my birthday! (And cheaper in price compared to Bay Area) They also had Uni! Tuna- was eh. We got a few pieces that were frozen , which they immediately replaced. Service was impeccable and quick. This place will def be my go-to sushi spot here in Saskatoon.

Highly recommend adding some chili oil to level it up For myself, I ordered the Lemongrass Chicken which comes with an egg , side of carrots and lettuce and 2 spring rolls Once my food arrived, I immediately noticed the green onion and onion smell (not a fan) but I also noticed the delectable aroma of the lemongrass chicken So, I did what I usually do and scraped off the bits of green onion from the rice and proceeded to eat my meal! Rice, chicken and egg were The rice was cooked just the way I liked and lemongrass chicken were so flavourful! The egg was surprising as I expected over-hard but it was more over-medium so it a even better I tried to overcome the onion scent/flavour from the spring rolls but after eating two (delicious) pieces, I decided I really can't anymore so Mr C got lucky and ate the rest for me (along with the lettuce/carrots hehe).

My family has a lake house in Saskatoon so every time we venture down, we always make a stop here…read more The AYCE is so much cheaper here than it is anywhere in Edmonton, where i'm from. They're an average AYCE place when it comes to the food and service. Nothing "wows" me, but it's pretty cheap for the assortment that you get. It's around $21 at the moment for dinner for adults, which is a great deal when there's a lot of options you can choose from. The sushi and sashimi selections are basic, but the fish could definitely be fresher. Given it is in the middle of Saskatchewan, I never complain. Sushi is sushi! I recommend taking a picture of the sheet that you fill out in order to make sure you get ALL your items. They tend to skimp out and not give you the actual amount you ordered, especially on tempura. As I mentioned earlier, the service is also pretty average for any ayce sushi restaurant. The service isn't great, most of the time I find they're pretty rude, but that's usually how it is in most AYCE restaurants. If they were to work on the service aspect, I believe this restaurant would be frequented much more.
