Small restaurant with limited parking. We came for lunch and had no issues. Casual vibes. Bon chon items all tasted great! Service is quick and family serving is very friendly. Have not been here for years so wanted to give it another chance. I go into NYC, Westchester and Jersey for Korean. One of my favorite cuisines. The pancakes were great. Not the usual thin crispy ones I am used to but still very good. The iced tea tasted old so could not drink it, and the beef had no salt. I took it home to add that. Possible they did not marinade the meat long enough as it had no flavor. Sure other things on menu were fine so check it out and let me know what you liked.

It was our first time here and we had a best experience. Jay the owner was warm and inviting. The place is small and felt special. If you want to dine in during a peak period, make a reservation. Filled up quickly on a late Saturday afternoon.

I've always loved this place. The best Gobdol and Yukgaejang. I go to other Korean bbq and these 2 main dishes that I always get are not the same. Service is great and always prompt for me.

This restaurant is right off the road and has a very small parking lot behind it, maximum maybe 3-4 standard sized cars. The interior is small, they've got 2 booths and about 5-6 normal tables. Partner and I came in for a late lunch about 3:30pm on a Thursday. We were the only patrons which was nice. We were greeted right away and picked our seats. I wish they offered complimentary tea or water but no big deal. Customer service was still super nice and attentive. For appetizers we ordered the fried gyoza. I ordered the Golden Bridge Sushi Roll and kimchi jigae, and my partner got miso soup, Snow White (yellow tail) and the Tuna Trio (spicy). The fried gyoza was super light and crispy. Honestly, the best gyoza I've ever had. The kimchi jigae for me wasn't as brothy as I would have liked, but they gave me plenty of pork that literally fell off the bone because it was so tender. My partner really enjoyed our lunch and we look forward to visiting one more time before our visit in Danbury ends. Highly recommend trying them out!! Everything we had was delicious!! You can also order for takeout and just do a pick up if you'd like. Safety: They do not check temps or vaccination status but all staff wear masks and the whole restaurant is clean. Hand sanitizers are available at the table. HOURS: (As of this review in Dec 2021) Sunday 12:30 - 8:30 pm Monday 11:30 - 9:30 pm Tuesday CLOSED Wed + Thurs 11:30- 9:30 pm Fri + Sat 11:30 to 10 pm

Looking at other reviews and this place had high reviews. I had to try it myself.... And I was NOT disappointed. The goyza starter was so clean and delicate. Extremely crispy and perfectly fried up. As you can see from the photo it was a wonderful golden color and not saturated with oil. The meats inside were well seasoned and delicious. My coworker had the rainbow roll and Hawaiian roll. I had the Jodi roll and Golden Bridge. All of which were amazing. Everything tasted fresh and nothing fishy. The waitress was very sweet and extremely pleasant. If I find myself in the area again, I can't wait to return.

Delicious Korean & Japanese food, a little jem of a place! Totally authentic, rich in flavor and oh so filling!! Lovely find in Danbury, CT!

I stopped by at Edo II after doing some shopping at the Danbury Fair Mall. In times of COVID, they will only seat one table of an immediate family in the restaurant at one time. They take all necessary precautions including checking your temperature at the door and taking your information down for contact tracing. I was able to try the sushi - Kamikaze roll, as well as the Korean dishes including Mandooguk and the bibimbap. Everything was super fresh and tasted like it was homemade. The owner was really friendly and I believe his wife was doing the cooking. This is a great family-owned business in which I hope others can come together to support!

The server asked about drinks, nice. There was a large menu and a single sheet menu provided. As I struggled to read the single sheet, it mentions there is a sushi roll special Monday and Tuesday nights, half price. Nice. The regular prices, listed both in the single sheet and the larger, book menu are very, very high (I presume they don't sell many rolls outside of this "special"). Ordered shumai, a spicy tuna roll, a slicy crabmeat roll, and a pepper tuna roll. The app arrived within 5 minutes -so frozen and reheated. The 5 piece order was average. Not great. Tasted like Costco almost. The sushi arrived about 4 minutes later. The restaurant was somewhat crowded, about 10 of the 12 tables were full. The rolls didn't taste fresh. Not a great playing of the food. It felt like a mid-country sushi spot, not warranting the $30. That's just me. And. I, I will not return. If I went on a non-half-price evening - I'd have been angry. Just average at best. Make sure you have glasses and a light, the "ambiance" is crazy dark. Tables seem very close (I overheard, or was part of) a couples' argument on how the husband wasn't supportive of his wife. Just another night in Danbury, I suppose?!

So, this the more romantic approach for this review…read more My date and I LOVE sushi, so she suggested Bambu. I've had Bambu before but only from takeout. This time it was to meet with a first date. I walked in and instantly I fell for the entryway. Modern but also had the feeling of nature with the rocky wall and relaxed entrance. My date arrived and we were seated near the bar. The waitress came and took our drink order: a scorpion bowl for two. It came out fast and was very tasty. Warning: the bartender KNOWS how to make a scorpion bowl that doesn't have the alcohol taste or burn. It was very well made and we both enjoyed that. We ordered a lot of sushi... but none of it had rice. Sashimi deluxe, sashimi roll, Naruto roll. The food came fast, the presentation was excellent, but most importantly, EVERYTHING was delicious and fresh. We ate our dinner while also talking and having some laughs, both of us happy about the experience altogether. They lit the fire in the fireplace (the temperature was dropping and it was also very windy), and it got warm FAST. The sushi stayed cold, so it was perfect. We went to the bar for some hot sake, and the bartender (the same guy that made the scorpion bowl), was great. He was quick with making sure things were set and was conversing with us. Bartenders do a lot, but he was able to chat and still do his job quickly. All in all Bambu helped us have the perfect first date, one that I will NEVER forget! We will definitely come back again! This is the authentic, incredibly fresh sushi you crave, and fair warning: you will become addicted. We are so lucky to have a gem like Amai in Brookfield. Amber and Jerry are wonderful people who genuinely care about their customers, the quality of the food, and the experience they provide. If you're looking for quick, fast-food-style sushi, this isn't that and that's exactly the point. It's like comparing a McDonald's cheeseburger to a steakhouse burger. Sure, one may be faster and cheaper, and technically they're both burgers, but the quality and experience aren't comparable. Anyone who compares the two is insane. At Amai, the attention to detail makes all the difference. The fish is incredibly fresh and cut to order rather than prepped in batches in the back, and you can absolutely taste the difference. Once you've had sushi this way, it's hard to go back and settle for anything else. My husband and I are addicts. After closing for a few weeks of vacation, we practically broke down the door and have already gone two times this week. Thank you!!!

The star of the evening was the Franco and Hall Roll, which might genuinely be the best sushi roll I've ever eaten. A beautiful combination of ahi tuna, salmon, and avocado, topped with delicate slices of uncooked Wagyu beef, finely shredded Alaskan king crab, black truffle, and tobiko caviar. The Wagyu is served almost carpaccio-style, draped across the roll, and the combination of flavors and textures is absolutely incredible. It's the kind of dish you find yourself thinking about long after dinner. And the rest of the meal was just as impressive. The juicy beef skewers were packed with flavor, the pork bao buns were fantastic, and the pork soup dumplings were delicious. We also enjoyed the signature spicy seafood ramen and the beef ramen with extra pork, both loaded with rich, satisfying flavor. What really stands out about Yoko is the quality and creativity behind the food. Everything we tried felt thoughtfully prepared, with excellent ingredients and flavors that actually deliver on the presentation. Five stars without hesitation. New Milford is fortunate to have a restaurant putting out food of this caliber. I'd come back for the Franco and Hall Roll alone, but there's clearly so much more worth exploring on this menu. An outstanding dinner from beginning to end.

Same to the Crab legs overcooked and tasteless. Not many seafood selection for bbq/hotpot. Pineapple very sour, looks not ripe yet. We had hotpot and bbq. There's always missing items especially the meat, not giving much veggies for you very small bunch (few strings watercress) for 5 pp(seriously!) then I figured regardless you add 1 or 5 they give you same amount, long wait too. We just end up feelin " begging for food" because you have to keep ordering to get some food to show up, unlike the experience we had in Danbury. I'd rather drive over there to have a better attentive meal. It's so obvious they failed to performe like a buffet especially there's comparison i had in Danbury and harsdale, NY and New Jersey locations. Service is slow even in a weekday. The person cleaning the table is doing good job, other than that, no one comes over unless we ask for it. Honestly in Danbury they keep coming over to either change the gril (so it doesn't get all the char)l or adding soup because they dry up quickly in small pot and no missing items. And also someone cares your experience.... It was also a birthday celebration night. Unfortunately the overall experience is not pleasant, food quality is below the standard. Hope they can improve as i do appreciate they are in the area.
