Love this place! Super fresh Korean and sushi, with a knowledgable owner/chef who will guide you through the menu if you need help. Big steaming bowls of Gobdol is a favorite as is the tofu/seafood stew. Plus the sushi, especially the rolls, are beautiful and tasty! Take out is busy when we have been there. Its a small place and you can BYOB. Its our go-to place for homestyle, delicious cooking. read more

Awesome food!!! Everything was great!! I got teriyaki chicken, and it was the best! My chicken had thick noodles that LOVED. It also had broccoli and carrots. The atmosphere was great too! Over all the restaurant is one of the GREATEST REITERATE I EVER WHENT TO! read more

I love this little restaurant! Tiny, cozy, and comfortable. Their food is delicious, I've had the bibimbap, more sushi that I can remember, and jae yook gui (spicy pork tenderloin with onions and peppers) which had a good amount of delicious side dishes to accompany the meal. The owners are such great good-hearted people, the service can be a little slow at times, but they are always so friendly, courteous, and cheery - the good food definitely makes up for what they lack, which is not very much. I am forever a happy customer, and my full belly thanks you :) read more

What a great find! I was looking for somewhere different to take my boyfriend on date night and saw that Edo had great reviews and it absolutely lived up to them. We went on a Tuesday around 7. When we pulled into the parking lot we were worried that we wouldn't be able to get a table due to its small size. We were very warmly welcomed by the sushi chef and waitress and were seated right away at the last remaining table. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. It was both of our first times trying Korean food so we asked the waitress for her recommendation. She was extremely kind and after just a few questions she steered us both in the right direction. We started with the Korean pancake appetizer. It was slightly under-seasoned for our taste but still delicious. I ordered the organic brown rice and tofu Gobdol, a steaming rice dish with vegetables and an egg. She told me exactly what to do and how to enjoy it based on my personal taste. My boyfriend ordered the Jaeyuk-gooi, spicy pork dish based on her recommendation and we were both more than satisfied with the results. Aside from the delicious food, the setting was intimate and comfortable; perfect for a weeknight meal. Overall, the service and food were as good as, if not better than, we expected. We have already picked out what we will try the next time we go! Highly recommend this quiet comfortable eatery. read more

Place is incredible. Insanely fresh food, great customer service. Best Asian food in Danbury. The only other korean place that competes is their sister branch, edo 1 in Norwalk! read more

Good sushi. Highly recommend this place! The sushi chef in the front is very pleasant. The sushi rolls taste fresh and never a let down.

The coziest little place in the area! Food is very authentic, high quality, and homemade. The owner is also extremely friendly and will have your food made exactly how you like it. Some may consider the price point to be a little high...but for the quality of food you get I think it's fair. The menu has lots of choices, and if you don't know what to order, just ask the owner. This place is a gem. read more

This place is amazing!! I am a person who loves Korean food and I've never had Kimchee Jigae as good as theirs, not even from Korea when I was traveling a couple years ago. We came a bit late close to their closing hours but were still greeted with friendly service. I am definitely coming back to this place and I am pretty confident to recommend this place to my friends. read more

We found this place one night on the way to a friends house and I was really craving sushi so we decided to stop. I had never had Korean food and neither had my boyfriend. I opted for a spicy tuna as that is what I usually order when I want comfort in knowing what I'm getting. He opted for a huge Korean plate (not sure of what he got). The waitress was VERY friendly and even helped him in deciphering what he wanted. When his plate came out she showed him what to do and what he could add for more flavor and how to eat it. She was super nice and I've never had a waitress in a international food restaurant help out so much. His food was AMAZING. The only reason for 4 stars was because they didn't make the spicy tuna to my liking, it was very spicy and they drizzled a weird sauce on it that I had never had on any other roll before. Other than that we WILL be returning so I can try more options. read more

This is the best restaurant in danbury by a mile. Amazing food, amazing presentation, extremely gracious staff and a personal environment. One of the few places ive ever been where literally everything on the menu is near the top of the best foods ive ever eaten. Try the Boolgogi, our waitress told us that its marinated overnight in whatever delicious sauce its smothered in, and it is evident in how delicious it is. It was like eating meat for dessert. It was absolutely amazing. Come to find out that Boolgogi is a korean dish that is ranked in the top 25 most delicious dishes in the world. Edo II makes it damn good, imo. I have yet to have better korean, and i make it a habit to travel around new haven and fairfield counties to eat everything new and delicious i can find. My hat goes off to the amazing chef at Edo II. Hopefully they open a spot closer to New Haven so I can still get it on the regular when i move to that area! read more

Beautiful food in a nice quaint setting. We only went here because another restaurant nearby was closed and thought that we would try something different. I had the Gobdol bowl and my wife had sushi. Delicious. Would definitely go back and recommend to others. read more

I come here every time I'm back in CT for work. Just headed here last night and it was awesome as usual. I'll probably be back tomorrow and over the weekend - yes, I love this place that much! read more

Wow!! This food was fantastic. Definitely worthy of five stars. We only got the sushi but it was amazing. It was a small place and only a few people working there but the food came very quick and was amazing. My favorite roll I had was the shrimp tempura. It was great!! You have to try this place! read more

we love Edo, its a simple restaurant, casual dining, small seating but the owner has a warm heart, offers friendly service. the bibimbap is prob our favorite, we let the rice get VERY crunchy on the bottom bc its like dessert left for the final bites. my friend LOVES the salmon with avocado. The prices are fine, however i think it shows in quality, service and not being pushed out the door once you have your last bite. read more

I have only tried the Bibimbap in the hot clay pot here several times, but it is so good, that I wouldn't try anything else. The staff is extremely friendly and I believe one can bring in their own wine which is a nice option. read more

Don't let the size fool you! Fresh delicious food, great service and great atmosphere in this tiny restaurant - it's one of our favorites. The chef is happy to cater to requests ( I'm a vegetarian) and every visit has been a pleasure. read more

Very small place, so be aware if you are coming with a large party. I had the Korean soup was okay. I cannot eat spicy food which rules out a lot and cannot eat raw sushi right now because of health reasons. Will try the sushi in the future, once I could eat it again. read more

If you are looking for tasty, creative sushi, skip this place. Neither creative nor delicious, this place is a definite skip for sushi snobs. The restaurant itself is very clean, however the sushi is bland and overpriced for the quality that is offered. read more

Best sushi! The service was wonderful and the food was well worth the wait and then some. Have had takeout and eaten there - too quality both times read more

The food is amazing. Had the bibimbap and was the perfect amount of veggie with rice. And especially since i was able to get the crunchy rice on the bottom of the bowl. The pancake is good too! Just like how my grandma makes them service was nice too read more

great food....limited Korean lunch menu, but the Korean bento box was delicious....had the pork one....cannot remember the name....but it came with seaweed salad, goyzo dumplings, california roll, spring roll, rice, salad, miso soup and several other treats....great meal and wonderful service....the only thing missing was ice in the water, but I guess I could have asked for some if it had really bothered me. read more

We moved up to North Salem from NYC one year ago and I'm upset I never discovered this hidden gem before! myself, husband and toddler enjoyed our lunch so much that we will be regulars at this Korean restaurant! It's honestly better than any spot in Korea Town in Manhattan! read more

Great Sushi dinner with friendly and attentive service, we will be back!

Found this place by chance while in Danbury. It's a small bit very cozy place. The sushi chef/owner was very nice. We ordered korean dishes which were good (although a little under-seasoned). Will definitely come back and try their sushi next time. read more

Great fresh food. The Korean dishes were delicious, as was the sushi. Very clean. The waiter was able to answer all of our questions. The owner came out to talk with us, & joke with our young daughter. read more

Really great sushi and the Korean food is excellent. It's a very small place and BYOB which i don't think is a bad thing. The owner is there, and he seems to take pride and looks like he really knows what he's doing. Service is very good as well. The waitstaff is pleasant. read more

Very very good. Nice atmosphere attentive service. Been here twice with my family and it has not disappointed. The food is well presented and excellent. We all loved our gobdol in the streaming stone bowls. Would give it a 4.5 if yelp let us. read more

Way overpriced but as far as the Korean food in Connecticut goes, decent. I know some people have complained about the ambience, but I'm basing my review on the following criteria: the food I ordered legitimately tasted like real Korean food. Unfortunately, that being said, there is not a whole lot of variety on the menu. When I asked the owner about this, he explained that since there are not a lot of Korean people in the area, he had to adjust the menu items to reflect the preferences of the mainstream clientele. Anyway, I highly recommend the dolsot bibimbap; the portions are humongous and the ingredients are fresh and delicious. read more

I am a huge fan of the original Edo in Norwalk so I went to this one. The sushi was very good and very fresh. On the other hand, the soon tofu jigae that I got was very bland and tasted only like gochu ga-loo (the hot Korean pepper flakes). But my mother's deng jang jigae was very very good. read more

This place has some of the best sushi. Its very fresh. I love the lunch box its a bit of everything. the down side is this place is tiny only about 6 tables so its not a place to go with a group. Staff is friendly and knowledgeable about their food. read more

Edo is a very small building but don't let that fool you. I had the sushi and sashimi meal which was a little pricy at $25 but it was delicious. I have not had a chance to try any other food from the restaurant but my meal was some of the best fish I've had. The only bad thing about this restaurant, there is minimal seating. Therefore, it is difficult to get a seat during busy hours. read more

Very high quality Korean and Japanese dishes at reasonable prices. I especially enjoy the bibimbap. The service is outstanding. It's our first choice for Asian food. read more

Terrible service! Waited over a 30 minutes for a lunch of simple rolls. The sushi was not fresh and we ended up with food poisoning.

Amazing gobdol. Ive heard great things about this place for so long, finally had a chance to try it for myself last week. So glad I did. I will be back. read more

Amazing food. Small but comfy and nice atmosphere, very friendly staff. Get the bimibap!

Love this place! Decided to try it a while back, after it had been around almost a year, and I wish I had tried it sooner. Its an unassuming place from the outside but it is a lot bigger on the inside. The staff is friendly and often the guy making your food is waiting on you as well. The sushi is fresh and tasty with a wide variety of raw and cooked fish options. I have also tried the korean food there, once so far, and it was also very tasty. I recommend this to all passing through the area and residents as well. Its a place we frequent now. read more

This is the greatest place if you enjoy super fresh sushi and a variety of other Japanese dishes! There is Korean fare as well which I have yet to try, however, the quality of sushi cannot be beat!!! If you are uncertain about what to order, just speak up and they will suggest based on what you like / desire. There is a magnificent Spicy Tuna Hand Roll that's to die for and the steamed vegetable dumplings simply melt in you mouth. The restaurant is clean with a quaint atmosphere and the owners are very friendly, approachable people. Just wish it wasn't BYOB but that's no biggie when the food is so good. Check it out!!! read more

Came here with my girlfriend on a Saturday night. It was a really small and cozy restaurant which kind of gives you.the feel of home. We ordered 3 rolls to share and decided to try a korean dish as well. The waitresss recommended the gobdol bibimbap which is traditional korean rice d8sh with vegetables served on a sizzling hot rock bowl. Everything was so delicious. Remember you can bring your own beer and wine, something we were unaware of but definitly going back for more soon!!!! read more

Worst restaurant experience in my life! Looked for a Korean restaurant in Danbury and based on reviews decided to visit it. We got there on a Saturday night around 6:30 PM. The 3 of us and another group of 3 got the two last tables. We placed our order quite quickly and then we got our drinks and water and then we waited, waited, and waited for over 20 min...no food was coming out of the kitchen that all time except for one sushi pickup. finally after 10 minutes we asked the waiter what is going on...his reply is that they are backed up and it will take another 30 minutes! BACKED UP for what? there are 7 tables in the whole restaurant. Apparently the wife is the only cook, the owner prepares the sushi by himself and they are taking phone orders...jeez hire some help or don't take any phone orders at all, people drove all the way to your restaurant so please have the courtesy to serve them on time. This place is not only a disgrace to Korean food and hospitality, it is a disgrace to call itself a restaurant. When a kitchen is prepared and well run, then Korean food should be served quickly and efficiently! This place ruined our Saturday night...we had to go eat at the dinner next door which was average but quick... Avoid this place at all costs unless you plan on going on a very slow night and make sure you ask your waiter how long the wait is for the food... read more

This place may be the best kept secret in Danbury! The rice bowls are out of this world !! Great food and super cozy atmosphere!
