I struggled to make my decision because the menu at Edley's is vast. I chose the pork tacos and I'm sure glad I did. The meat was smoky and tender and there was plenty on each taco along with spicy onion straws, fresh cilantro, and chopped jalapeños on top. The shell is lightly fried so it's not soggy. OMG! Delicious! A basket of fries on the side were fresh and seasoned with good stuff -- I detected salt pepper and a little bit of sweetness. My friend had the smoked Turkey sandwich and loved it too. Catered a meal for our football team after a game. Ordered for 130 people. Food was hot and ready, and on time. The girls that delivered did a phenomenal job setting up and making sure we had everything we needed. They provided everything we needed. The players loved the food and raved about the grits casserole! At around 15$ a person you simply cannot beat that price for this great quality of food! So I've tried this establishment twice. The first time was awesome and my family and I were super pleased however I brought them back a couple weeks later and it wasn't the same AT ALL. Service wasn't there, food was cold and didn't seem as fresh. Our server didn't pay much attention to us we constantly had to get her attention which was terribly annoying and frustrating. The quality of food is good, particularly the wings and salad. We had wings, salad, a kids grilled cheese and kids pulled pork sandwich. The kids did not like their food and I don't blame them. The grilled cheese kept falling apart because the two top parts of the buns were put together which made the cheese detach and get cold. After I explained that to the staff they apologized and said they would get another. We waiting for 10 min just to get the same thing. The pulled pork sandwich was drenched with bbq sauce in the middle of the sandwich. I will NEVER go back to this restaurant again. They have the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Steve, the manager, has a nasty attitude and care's nothing about this business whatsoever. It's a bbq restaurant but they had no ribs ready and his response "Ribs are for dinner time" which to him meant 5 pm. My husband and I were willing to wait but offering us a soda while doing so was too much to ask. We didn't ask for free food! We were willing to wait and just asked for something to drink. Even McDonalds will give you a drink if there is a wait. Customer service is a big deal. If you feel the same, don't waste your time here. read more

Stopped for the night in O'Fallon after a 12 hour drive from Virginia without stopping for lunch so was really hungry. With that being said, how could one go wrong with BBQ, especially when it receives a high rating on Yelp? So, the positives first. The sides we ordered with our meal, Mac n cheese and green beans, were spot on and delicious. The green beans in particular were really tasty. There was a solid selection of beer and the one I had was tasty and cold. Wait staff was helpful. Now the negatives and it sounds from the other reviews as if Edley's is relatively new so there's always growing pains for new restaurants. Wife and I both ordered the Brisket Melt. Very disappointing when you taste more American cheese than brisket and the cheese appeared to be the processed cheese that comes in an individual plastic wrapper. The sandwiches were in reality melted cheese that had a slight brisket taste to it. Come on, if you're going to advertise a dish as a special, you better deliver! I wish I had taken a picture of the inside of the sandwich, my bad for not doing so. Just a few random pieces of brisket, no nice meaty slices like one would expect. Maybe I'm spoiled being from the KC area but Joe's BBQ in KC will give you a free sample of brisket larger than what I paid for at Edley's. The other negative was the cheap, flimsy plasticware that came with the meal. If you're going to go with plastic at least give me some that doesn't break in my hand. read more

The BBQ is on point, slightly zippy, not super salty like sugar fire, a great variety of beef, pork snd chicken BBQ great portions and all of their sides are addictive! Today I got the special which was fried shrimp - ok...fried shrimp in a BBQ place? YASSS PLEASE! This was freshly breaded plump shrimp you get TEN and it came with 2 sides! My husband got the burnt ends over the grits casserole that I will be thinking about til I go there again - just fantastic. We ordered and sat at the bar as we had a great bartender who made a fantastic drink and great conversation (we didn't get his name but he's a big Lions fan!) Wr ordered carry out and food was excellent and it was ready in 10 minutes. They have a great set up for carry out. The have a separate door for pick up plus there is reserved for people to park when they are picking up. The only thing that really irked was ran or credit card and printed out receipt. It had a list of suggestions for tips. I'm sorry. I am usually an excellent tipper but I just thought 20% for walking in and being handed my food didn't warrant that kind of tip. The food was okay not as good as word of mouth. I sat at the bar to facilitate quicker service and waited 5-7 minutes at a lunch a few weeks back to get service. The young lady was polite and gave me a menu and then I waited twenty minutes. I was the only one sitting at the bar. Two wait staff were chatting away at the end of the bar. I had to wave one down.
