There is truly something special about this community. From the superior level of cleanliness to the staff that provides exceptional service, the Edison is the place to be. This is my 2nd go around living here at the Edison. The first experience was great, but I wasn't expecting the elevated experience that it had to offer: 1. We were offered a rate that was fair and not overpriced. My partner and I shopped other communities in the area where either the staff overpriced us or we didn't feel like we were welcomed 2. The easy move in and accommodations. Bri and Luigi were super helpful in preparing our unit for us as well as creating an easy experience pre and post move in. 3. Quick and efficient maintenance staff. We had one recent issue with our washer and it was taken care of same day within the same hour that we submitted our request (most places give you the runaround for a few days) 4. Amazing community director who genuinely cares about her residents. Juanita will go above and beyond to make sure anything you need will be provided. Any issue is addressed and followed up with. 5. Furry friendly: our dog is always greeted with excitement and treats from the staff and other residents. 6. Historic structural details: this doesn't feel cookie cutter. You can see reminisce details from previous establishments in this amazing historical building. From the elevators to the mid century modern lobby. This a truly feels like what a community should entail and we look forward to staying here for a while! read more

Warning they will keep your deposit no matter the condition. Multiple homeless people in the halls randomly and things stolen from the garage. I would much rather stay somewhere else that is more secure for the money. read more

I lived here for the past 2 years and have only positive things to say. The management and maintenance teams are friendly, accommodating and responsive. The building is well kept, clean and has awesome amenities like the rooftop pool and lounge area, gym, game room, package room with lockers and bike storage. It's a shame I didn't invite more friends over. The building and parking garage is also gated and secure, which made me feel safe. The actual apartment unit has a beautiful modern aesthetic with concrete floors, an open concept layout and floor to ceiling windows. It also has AC, in-unit washer and dryer and a designated parking spot. This building is in a great location with tons of restaurants, shops and occasional street fairs within walking distance. The new management team also started hosting weekly social events. It's been a really fun chapter living at the Edison. :) read more

Anyssa, Juanita, and Luigi made my leasing and move-in process such a smooth experience and they were always ready and available to assist me at every step along the way. After touring most of the apartment buildings in the area, The Edison was my clear favorite in the end. I love living at the Edison I've been here for just about a year and all the staff are just as helpful as my first day, this building is in high demand due to the amenities and prime location so things can get backed up but they always get back to you as soon as possible, also they are constantly improving the living experience! I've been living at the Edison Apartments for a little over a year, and I absolutely love it. The new company, AMC, that bought our building came in and hit the ground running. They've been cleaning, making repairs, renovating, and modernizing, the interior and exterior of the building. They're looking into security upgrades as well, which is great news. We have an all-new staff, except for Juanita. She's a carryover, and she's awesome. She takes her job seriously when it comes to customer service and maintaining a high standard of living for the residents. It's not going to happen overnight, but these improvements will enhance our comfort and enjoyment of the complex. I personally enjoy the open-door concept, where the residents can go down to the office and chat and sometimes meet other people who live in the building. The building is pet-friendly, and so far, everyone I've met has been really quite pleasant. I looked at several buildings before deciding to live at the Edison, and it was the staff that drew me in. The new crew, Bri and Luigi, are amazing as well. I know it's not easy moving into a new job like this, especially when you don't know anyone. I'm sure the other residents will agree with me once they get to know them. read more

I moved to Edison from out of state and was nervous about moving into an apartment I didn't get to check out in person first, but everyone in the leasing office made it a smooth transition for me! Ronnie was super helpful and was the main person from leasing that assisted in all my questions. He was super welcoming when I arrived and gave me a tour of the building. I also needed maintenance to come fix the fan in my bathroom and a window in the apartment. Omar was amazing and fixed everything in a timely manner. He was also very sweet to my dog! The maintenance team has always been responsive to anything happening in or around the apartment. My best friend lives here and let me tell you the amenities are awesome! Our favorite is the rooftop heated pool because we don't have to wait for summer to come around to take a dip. We want to give a special shoutout the maintenance team, especially Omar the service director... they're so helpful and kind! The location is perfect, walking distance from everything fun in Long Beach! Whenever I come visit i feel like i'm at my second home. Will definitely be moving here whenever I decide to relocate. read more

Edited Review*** I lived here for a few years and things started out alright but have gone downhill once AMC took over the building. In February my washer was not working and it took more than 10 days to get a response. I even contacted the maintenance number they provide AFTER I had already submitted a work order. I got a response they would look into it and a few more days go by without it being fixed OR updated on the progress. There was definitely evidence someone was in and out of my unit. Finally I had to speak with them in person and they agreed to swap it out the same day. I can echo that you will not get your security deposit back and will be charged additionally at your move out, so be prepared to owe something (I was charged $780.70). Also, I was charged for utilities from 14+ months prior and initially told to "check my bank account" to see if it had been previously paid already. Upon further investigation, the team was aware that utilities were not paid for the month of April by any resident of the Edison and instead of informing us they made the decision to not inform anyone until move out. So they were apparently aware for 8+ months yet made it seem like they didn't know if I owed back utilities or not. I requested further records from them to confirm this was not previously paid and they were unable to provide ledgers of payment for the service months of the utility charges. I ended up just paying it as I don't trust that they wouldn't just send it to collections DESPITE the final conservice statement showing that there were no prior utilities owed. They use conservice to bill for utilities (which YOU pay a service fee for) yet when asked why the conservice shows past utilities owed for the 2 months prior to move out that would be due at move out, it does not reflect the charge in question from 14+ months prior. You are required to pay $15/month for trash valet whether or not you use it. And because of the trash valet, there will be trash and cardboard boxes in the hallways on most days because they don't pick up daily and no one actually knows the pickup schedule. Additionally, in January the entire building went without running water for 3 days and an additional 2 days after that without hot water. We got $20 credit for the inconvenience....... On the upside, because they are completely unorganized, I was not actually on a lease for my last 6 months there as apparently no one knew it had ended in September. It worked out to my advantage because I was job hunting and obviously my rent wasn't raised. read more

I really liked the location of the apartment and the apartment itself, but I had quite a few problems along the way. I first saw an ad for the place on apartments.com offering $500 off and 1 month free rent if you signed up quickly. When I tried to call to check if this deal was real for the apartment I liked, nobody answered. Instead, I got a text saying they were busy and couldn't talk, asking me what I wanted. I texted asking about the offer and they ignored the question and just asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment to look at the unit. I asked if they were a robot since they ignored my question, to which they responded no and eventually proceeded to tell me no offer was available, but then a real person called me a week later saying the person I was texting that said they weren't a bot, was indeed a bot and the bot was wrong. The deal actually was available. This mix-up felt shady to me. I decided to go see the apartment and liked it enough to sign the lease, thinking I was getting both the $500 off and the free month. After signing, though, I found out I was only getting the month free, which was frustrating because I had checked about this deal multiple times and they were not willing to fix the issue and I never got it in writing so whatever I guess I was wrong. Moving in was another headache. They told me I was short $100 on my security deposit because of a mix-up between a paper they sent that said "estimate" and their payment portal showing a different amount. They said I couldn't get the keys until I got the rest, so I had to rush out to get another cashier's check for the difference. In my head an estimate isn't a bill and their payment portal saying a different amount seemed like it would be the place with a higher degree of accuracy but nope. Then, there was an issue with the renters insurance I bought through their payment portal, which was the "recommended" insurance and I double checked it had all the coverage required in the lease. I figured it would be more convenient to just buy what they recommended. However, after getting back with the extra $100 security deposit, they then told me they don't accept that renters insurance... How in the world??? I had to quickly buy a different policy that they approved of and then I finally got my keys. However, I then had to call the other insurance company, get a refund and cancel that plan. Which then some how led to Edison thinking I didn't have renters insurance and them charging me $10 which they then also had to refund me. After all this, living there was okay for a while until some really strong wind made a banner outside hit my window repeatedly. It was so bad I couldn't stay there and it took them two days to remove the banner. The billing for utilities and rent through their system has been a major source of frustration for me. After getting an email on March 21st saying my utilities were due, I logged into the designated utility portal only to find it indicating I owed nothing, and was instead redirected to the rental portal. There, while my rent was clearly marked as due, there was no sign of the utility bill I was emailed about. I went ahead and paid my rent early on March 23rd, well before the April 1st deadline. However, on April 9th, I received a surprising notice stating my utility payment was past due. This notice was confusing because it contradicted the information previously available in the portal. After navigating through the portal once more, I finally located and paid the utility bill that was supposedly overdue. I really dislike being late on any payments, so the unclear and inaccurate billing communications from the management's portals have been extremely stressful and frustrating for me. All in all, I like my apartment, but dealing with the leasing office and their confusing systems has been a big hassle. read more

I've lived here since 2021 and I only had great experiences. The price can be a bit high, but it's worth it in; prime location, amenities, plus amazing management and maintenance workers. The new management company has been amazing in getting the parking garage cleaned up, and fixing up the appearance of areas that did not look up to par. You'll be treated well and everybody I have met at the building have been very friendly and I had 0 issues with anybody in my 2 years living here. Lastly, I just moved out due to job relocation and the management team continued to be very accommodating towards me throughout the whole process. Overall, I would recommend these apartments to everybody. Best decision was living here for the last two years. read more
