Whatever roadblocks get thrown into your way, she plows through and *makes it happen*. Any wedding planner working during Covid has to roll with the punches, but Jamie humored us through a few different revisions to the criteria for venue selection, a couple curveballs once we finally found a place we liked (in the middle of nowhere, with no dishwasher on site!), and so many, many harebrained ideas that she helped us filter out or make real. Creative -- delightfully. Organized -- incredibly. Communicative -- consistently (even when she had to chase us down because we were distracted ). Adaptable -- stupendously. Pragmatic -- appropriately. Some of the planners we met early in the process felt like they'd plan a beautiful event, but one that aligned with *their* aesthetic and needs (or a particular trend's), rather than ours. Jamie and her team made *our* dream reality (and added so many wonderful touches along the way!), and I couldn't be more grateful for that.

But it guarantees that you WILL have a good wedding. And we (me, husband, and guests) had a fantastic wedding weekend. My husband and I had a two day wedding celebration. The second casual "picnic" was arguably more complex despite its deceptively simple appearance due to Jamie having to transform a raw empty space into an event venue. The first day of our wedding went without a hitch. It was shocking how Jamie somehow made herself blend in with the rest of the crowd, yet was everywhere at once to conduct the event. ALL of our vendors complimented me (really, her) that she was the most professional, responsive, and organized planner they had ever worked with. She was so thorough - without Jamie, we are sure that we would have missed many small details that, while they wouldn't have messed up our wedding, made our day all the more presentable and comfortable. The second day (picnic) of our wedding was interesting. It was the day California experienced not any rain, but the crescendo into the historic "bomb cyclone" the following day. Days before our picnic, we had to scrap almost all of our original plan because our venue would have been flooded (and it was indeed underwater by our picnic day). We still don't know how Jamie pulled this off but she managed to transform our alternate venue (an empty cabin) into a spectacular indoor picnic spot. She had to re-do the furniture order and the layout. It worked. And that is without a doubt where I would have completely fallen apart without having Mango Muse. We are so grateful. The month before the wedding, she was incredibly on top of it. We got married at my parents' house, so didn't have any venue support to coordinate all of the different vendors. Christine made sure everyone (DJ, furniture rental, caterer, bar service, etc.) was on the same page, caught & fixed any mistakes in our contracts that might have caused an issue on the wedding day, and made sure that my entire family was able to relax and enjoy the wedding day. Everything turned out beautifully & any issues that came up she handled without us even knowing about them. Christine is easy to work with, navigates working with vendors and family members with grace, and made us feel so calm & comfortable throughout the planning process. We're a bit of an uptight group so there were lots : ) LJ was a HUGE help as we sorted out our vision and what we wanted -- and then followed through flawlessly on bringing that vision to life. She has an incredible eye for design and was instrumental in creating a beautiful setting that matched our vision at both the ceremony and the reception. One of my favorite things about LJ is that she always shared her opinion when asked, and when she disagreed or thought another option may be better than the direction we were headed, she'd respectfully share her point of view and get us back on track -- but I always felt like she respected what we wanted and supported it. All the vendors she recommended were AMAZING. She was straightforward with cost and how vendors stacked up against the competition. LJ provided a range of suggestions to make sure we understood our options (for example, for the Groom's Cake she suggested everything from an elaborate cake from a local artisanal bakery to Safeway and everything in between!), but when we just wanted her to handle something and not be weighed down by choices, she executed things flawlessly (such as delivering our welcome bags all over the Monterey Peninsula the day before the wedding!). On the day of, we had nothing to worry about -- everything that was within her control turned out flawlessly. She also navigated tricky situations with our on-site venue contact, who was a bit challenging to work with, and did a great job at managing her to make sure we had the day we envisioned. I was constantly impressed by her positive and calming attitude, grounding presence, creative vision and her ability to manage complex and emotionally charged situations. She was patient and understanding when we had last-minute changes and always snapped into action when we needed her to. I would definitely recommend LJ as a wedding planner/day-of coordinator! The timing of the ceremony, the location or all of the rentals, the timing of all of the reception events - everything ran smoothly and I didn't have a thing to worry about on my big day. She also added extra touches like bringing vases from home for the bridesmaid bouquets and I suspect she was the fairy godmother who brought us leftover food for late night noshing and a box with all the extra votives, programs, and various miscellaneous stuff we weren't thinking about then but are so happy to have now.
