It was such a honor to have him to take care of my wedding flower needs- I went in and gave him my ideas and he executed them more than I could imagine. I made him very aware that I have allergies to pretty much everything and he gave me recommendations on what to substitute with that wouldn't have me sneezing. Greg did my Bride bouquet, I had 3 people in my bridesmaid party as well and my Husband and his party had 4 boutonnières that had to be made. Everything was made with so much love and detail. My wedding colors were red, white and black and everything fit the theme lovely. And nobody's flowers made me sneeze or uncomfortable at all the day of and I am so grateful for that he knew exactly what to do! Trust Greg will all your needs! I visited Gilmore's Flower shop in East Providence RI over the weekend and I left so very…read moredisappointed. Let me say that I do understand it was the day before Mother's Day but there was only 2 other customers in the store when I was there. An employee came over and asked if we had been helped yet. We told her "no, we are waiting for assistance " she went to the back and came out with another woman who asked what we needed. I told her we were there to order a bridal bouquet. The second woman told me " I don't have anyone who can talk to you, you will have to come back another day". I have never felt so unvalued as a customer from a business as I did that day. No one could take 10 minutes to ask what exactly I needed. (I know it was 10 minutes because I timed the visit to a different florist who took the time to speak to me and it took 10 minutes to choose the flowers I liked and to pay her for them.) So my experience at Gilmore's was not good in any way that day. I specifically chose Gilmore's because I want to support local businesses as much as I can, but it seemed like while they were important to me, my business was not important enough to take a few minutes to talk to me.

Thought I would share my experience, good and bad!…read more Maria is a very talented baker. I ordered cupcakes for my wedding. They were creative, delicious, and she has a great gluten free selection. She arranged delivery, which went without issue. We ran into a snag with pickup of the cupcake tower. Arrangements were made for the caterer to break down & pack up the tower, and Maria would pick it back up from the caterer's headquarters. This was so perfect and convenient for me! Except... I got an email from Maria soon after the wedding, explaining that she picked up the cupcake tower, only to find that it was cracked in two with most of the hardware missing. She needed to keep my $75 deposit, and suggested I contact my caterer for reimbursement. This is all understandable. However, after having followed up with Maria, she admitted that when she picked up the tower, she left without notifying anyone at the caterer, and just determined she would keep my deposit. In my opinion, it would have been proper to present the damage to the caterer at the time of pickup. In following up with the caterer, they assured me that it arrived at their headquarters in-tact. A classic case of he-said she-said, and I'm left to pay the price. I would not say that this situation was handled professionally by Maria. The tower should have been checked over & damages documented with the responsible party. Just because you have a client's deposit does not entitle you to make undocumented claims and keep the deposit.
