I had a terrible experience just walking in and asking questions about storage in July of this year. The sign outside has said for at least a few months that they have 10x10' storage units for $65. I dared ask, "Why does the sign outside read that 10x10's are $65 if you don't have any?" The clerk replied, "That's our advertising." I pointed out that it wasn't good advertising if they didn't have availability. My husband said, "It's misleading - even false advertising." The clerk insisted, "That's our advertising." I tried to reason with him that if a car is advertised for a certain price and people go to see and possibly buy a car that isn't there..." He cut me off and said, "I want you to leave the premises right now." I asked to speak to the manager. He would not give me information on the manager. I said, "I am a customer wanting information." He said, "You're nothing to me. I have no relationship with you. I want you to leave the premises." I picked up a business card from the counter and he volunteered, "That isn't it." When I asked again for the name of the manager or owner, he got extremely agitated and banged on his desk and said I wouldn't get that information - that that was what he was for - to keep people like me from talking to him. Did he want me to call the police? While he (supposedly) called the police, my husband looked around and found a business license with the owner's name and number (same as this address and phone but at least the owner's name and business license number were there). I took down that information and we left.
This was a shocking, uncalled for experience. If this owner wants to pull prospective customers into the office through advertising units that aren't available, then subject them to rude, obstinate treatment like this, something is awfully wrong with this owner.
Before I wrote this review, I called a number I found on the BBB website for this business which is different than the one on the business license and card. I thought I would give the owner a chance to speak for himself. The same clerk answered with just "Hello". I said, "May I ask who I am speaking to?" The answer was, "Who wants to know?" Hence, this review. read more
