I wanted to upgrade from agm batteries and knew that the best outfit to get this done properly is at Edge VanWorks. I had been here twice before for some minor modifications. I'm a business owner as well and while waiting in the lobby while my rig was in competent hands with the crew. I got the chance to observe how Isaiah and Amy interacted with customers. I drove eight hours and stayed three nights in a hotel to have work done here because I'd been happy when Gordon owned the shop -- but it's not the same anymore. The new owner is dishonest, careless, and completely unqualified for serious electrical work. I gave him a detailed list: 300Ah lithium batteries, a DC-to-DC charger, and to connect my Starlink using the 12V converter I provided so I wouldn't need to run my inverter. He ignored all of it, pushed oversized 460Ah batteries that don't suit my van, skipped the DC-to-DC charger, and didn't install any fuses at all -- a huge safety hazard that nearly fried my alternator. He even used bolts that were too long to tighten properly, leaving loose connections that could arc or melt under load. When I picked up my van, the batteries were at only 30% charge and the job was clearly rushed. The work was unsafe, sloppy, and far below industry standards. This shop is nothing like it was under the previous owner. read more

From the first contact until pick up Isaiah, Chase and CG were responsive and enthusiastic and to top it off, competent and efficient. I needed new batteries and was in a slump because I didn't want to deal with all of the delays, upselling and pompacity reserved for RV owners. He is a genius technician, extremely reliable, honest, personable, and innovative in finding solutions to almost any issue. I traveled all the way from Denver to have Gordon rewire my lithium battery system, inverter, and balmar alternator, and install an under engine skid plate and a swing away spare tire holder, both of which he designed and produced himself. He installed some 12 volt USB plugs and a chassis battery trickle charger wired to my rooftop solar panels. He also installed Sumo Springs front and rear.
