This place is addicting! Went here for lunch with hubby and two kids (6 yo & 8 yo). We ordered sushi, sashimi, and creme brulee from the sushi counter, ceviche from the peruvian place and hot chocolate, cappuccino, and sweet crepes from the french counter. Everything was fresh and delicious. Kids are already begging to come back to eat there again!

We've been reading all the amazing reviews for Nomi Nori, a new sushi lounge on Central. Last night we decided to check it out with my wife's daughter and her boyfriend. When we arrived we found the restaurant is reservation only, but attached next door is the Edge Eatery, a new food hall akin to a baby Armature Works. The best part is they feature sushi from Nomi Nori, as well as Cuban sandwich and Colombian food vendors. The concept is for sushi, a server will take your order at your table and deliver your food as with standard table service. For either the Cuban or Colombian food you order and pay at the counter for each and a server will deliver your order to your table. The location on Central Ave is in the Edge District, hence the name. Located about a block down from Ferg's. The space is very open, with the Nomi Nori sushi bar immediately in front of the entrance. The Cuban and Colombian stalls are against the back wall. And a fourth stall featuring Vietnamese coffee and boba teas against the far wall. The space isn't huge, but very relaxed, with a bit of an industrial feel. We were pulled in by the sushi, so this filled the bulk of our order. We started with their house ginger salad which was insanely good, and very unique. Not the typical out of a bottle orange dressing, but more creamy, with a delicious kick. We also ordered the salmon carpaccio appetizer, which was outstanding, with super fresh, thinly sliced salmon drizzled with tangy ponzu sauce. Since I am an absolute addict to Colombian empanadas, I had to order a couple from that stand. I have to say these were among the very best Colombian style empanadas I have had. Chocked full of deliciously seasoned beef and accompanied by a nice and spicy ahi picante Colombian fresh salsa. I adore ahi picante, and this was incredibly good. My wife's daughter and her boyfriend split a Cuban chicken sandwich, which looked good. We had two of the handrolls (temaki) Nomi Nori is becoming famous for. The flavor of the salmon ponzu and tuna poke handrolls was excellent, as was the freshness of the fish. Given they use an open side taco-like method, instead of the ubiquitous cone shape, they are a bit messy to eat. Was also ordered two traditional rolls, the Uni roll, featuring eel, and the District roll, wrapped in rice paper. Both were good, but nowhere near as impressive as the other items. Out server, Taylor, was amazing! She spent time with us explaining the process and took such good care of us. When we were finished with our plates from other vendors, Taylor returned them for us, stating they all help each other out. Even though they are all different businesses. Such a cool concept. They're still working out some kinks. Nomi Nori, the sushi lounge next door, got slammed while we were there and Taylor had to keep updating us on the status. No worries for us since we were enjoying the food and beverages. And we felt in good hands. Overall, even with the growing pains of a new eating establishment, it is well worth trying.

Amazing food on all 3 sides! Cocktails and sushi from Nomi nori are hidden gems, the Latin seafood from Sabor is savory and delicate (try the pisco), followed by crepes and coffee. This place is a very intimate micro-food-market style eatery and they have gone above and beyond to be the one stop shop for food. Overall, a very enjoyable atmosphere! Late night Fridays you can stop next door for a club/lounge after your meal I can't say enough about this place it's very exciting to find a local spot that caters to all cravings let alone have a patient and passionate staff AND dog friendly outdoor seating

Olive Octopus // pulpo al olivo

Very good authentic Peruvian food and the service was amazing. I highly recommend ordering the ceviche - it's some of the best ceviche I have had in both the US and Peru.

We have eaten at all three restaurants and the food is great. The lounge next door is a nice addition to the neighborhood.

You can watch boats cruise by while you eat. The best spots are on the open outdoor deck or at a table next to the large windows. Inside, the dining room is decorated in a Mediterranean style. It features colorful Spanish tiles, lush tropical plants, and authentic artwork. The famous historic 1905 salad originally created in 1905 was made table side by Tossing 4 cups of chopped iceberg lettuce, 1/2 cup julienned ham, 1/2 cup julienned Swiss cheese, 1 ripe chopped tomato, and 1/2 cup green Spanish olives. Top with Romano cheese, Worcestershire sauce, fresh lemon juice, and a tangy garlic dressing. The flavor is great and it's a nice light healthy option. 9/10 The Ropa Vieja was Originally introduced to Cuba by Spanish sailors. The name means "old clothes" because the choice beef is shredded, sautéed and simmered with onions, green peppers and tomatoes. Served with platanos and white rice. 9/10 The Shrimp Salteado came with Jumbo shrimp sautéed in exra-virgin olive oil, sliced Spanish onions, green peppers, fresh garlic, mushrooms, diced potatoes, chorizo and red wine. Served with yellow rice. 9/10 For dessert, the flan is one of the best I have ever tasted. The recipe dates to 1935 when the Columbia opened Tampa's first "Conditioned Air" dining room, the Don Quixote. Our grandmother and great-grand-mother, Carmen Hernandez, helped the Columbia gain national fame with her great recipes, especially her flan. Spanish caramel egg custard, prepared the old-fashioned way, using only the best natural ingredients. 9/10 Our server was friendly and informative and our food came out in a timely manner. If you're in the Sand Key or Clearwater area and craving some authentic Cuban food in a classy atmosphere with a nice view of the water, i highly l recommend visiting the Columbia Restaurant.

Suggest valet for $6 or a couple of trips around the lot to find a spot. We sat outside, which was enclosed and heated and your are right on the water. Super cool and great views. We started off with the toasted bread and butter and the devil crab croquet. Not a fan - full of crab but the flavors didn't sit well and really needed some type of sauce to pair with it - we only had hot sauce. The original salad - is a must we shared it across four. It's made table side has cheese and olives in it and was really good. We got ours with a side of shrimp. Main courses - Cuban - it's a classic sandwhich which we shared. Comes with fried plantains which were ok. Again would have been better with some kind of sauce to dip it in. Steak Salteado - good flavor l, was expecting thin sliced steak and it was more like stew meat. Paired with rice and was good. Palomilla - would be better as the sandwhich version. Again this one needed a sauce for dipping. Shrimp "Al Ajillo" - this is a must and the oil garlic mix is perfect for dipping you toasted bread.

Still run by descendants of the founder. We had a Saturday 7pm reservation and the place was packed (seats around 1,700 people, per our server), but we were seated only 5-6 minutes late and service never felt strained despite the crowd. Started with warm, authentic Cuban bread and butter, then split the Original "1905" Salad -- tossed and served tableside, with Romano cheese, garlic dressing, ham, tomatoes, lettuce, and Swiss cheese. It's basically an entree on its own. The empanadas were also excellent: light crust, extremely flavorful filling, juices running with every bite. For my entree I had the Red Snapper "Adelita" -- grilled, topped with hearts of palm, artichoke hearts, sun-dried tomatoes, served over their signature yellow rice. Perfectly cooked fish, very flavorful toppings. For dessert, we compared the key lime pie against the white chocolate bread pudding. The pie was well-made -- perfect texture, perfect graham cracker crust, light raspberry sauce -- but a touch light on the tart key lime punch I look for. The bread pudding was the better dish: rich, decadent, excellent. Finished with proper Cuban espresso. The menu here is enormous -- expect to need multiple visits to make a dent in it. Everything we tried was excellent. Highly recommend, but book ahead on weekends; even with 1,700 seats, this place fills up.

We were told that it would be a 30-40 minute wait, but it was hardly a 20 minute wait. The ambiance of the place is so homey, and the staff is generally pleasant. First of all, do not underestimate the BREAD. It is probably, hands down, the best baguette bread I have had in the US. We had croquette and stuffed mushrooms as appetizers. They were good. For my main course, I had the mahi mahi varadero and it was really good. It came with crab and Spanish rice, and was breaded with crispy plantains. It was good, although I generally don't like Spanish rice. HOWEVER, if I had to recommend a dish, it would be the mahi-mahi cayo-Hueso. It was marinated with citrus flavors and it was divine. Now I don't know who in our party ordered the fries, but they were amazing and felt as good as home fries. Now to the dessert, we ordered almost one of each and it was some of the best dessert I have had in my life -not too sweet, made well, and with real ingredients. I would have ordered my own cafe con leche but it was too late for me in the day but man did I wish I could have had my own cup instead os stolen sips. A record would not be complete without aknowledging the staff. Our waiter was Alfredo and he was such a nice, sweet, and accommodating waiter. He was also patient with such a large party. Thank you, Alfredo!
