Soo this place is so close and I had to check it out. Upon entering the customer service is fantastic and parking is pretty good. They are quick to make the order and it's definitely a must try. Here is my order: Chicken and cheese goes best with aji and jalapeño cream ( honestly they all go with these sauces) I got the cilantro sauce and it has a bite to me but I'm spicy sensitive. Pineapple pork with the habanero sauce. Beef and potato is soo delicious, I could just get this and be happy. Goes great with the aji and jalapeño ranch. Wowowow I was really so impressed with this place! Colombian style empanadas are already the best type of empanada, but their take on flavor combinations makes it all that much better. I ordered the Cubano, Beef/Chorizo/Rice and Bean, and the Chicken/Potato. The cubano was by far my favorite. But each one tasted fresh and flavorful. What really sets this place apart is the service. I appreciate the time they took to talk me through flavors and help me choose my order. I also liked that they hand label each plate with the names of the empanadas so they are easier to eat. The owner noticed that my group couldn't fit at any of the tables available so he brought a chair out from the back to make more room for us without us even asking. We were also there near closing and I believe they had some leftovers fries in the fryer so they brought us a basket free of charge while we ate. We ordered 2 $10 combos, a large fry, and 2 cheese empanadas. It was about $30. They did take a little to get the order to the table 15/20 minutes but it was well worth it. My husband went today to pick up an assortment of flavors for us to try. We live in Carrollwood so it's a hike to get there but I'd been wanting to try since I'm gluten free and had been craving empanadas. The kids and I submitted our "orders" to my husband to bring home. Unfortunately they were out of several varieties but did a great job of substituting options. They were brought home cold so we could reheat them tonight for dinner. We put them in the oven at 350 for about 18 min and they came out perfect! Buffalo Chicken, Beef&Chorizo and Zesty Italian were the favorites for my family. The sauces were all amazing as well. I saw them more than once go outside and come back inside with bags of frozen empanadas. There was a Spanish lady making them in front of you, but those are not the ones we got. She was making a bunch and when you put 2 and 2 together: making a bunch and then seeing frozen ones coming in-I'm sure you're getting the previously frozen ones. That really threw me for a loop! However, I did like that they were very tasty (not like my aunt's from Central America) and I did like that they had many flavor options! The ambiance was just ok, too. It's in a strip mall and there are a few tables where you can eat from. Keep in mind, that the ONLY thing they serve are empanadas. They did have a great deal that you can get 4 empanadas (2 flavors) with 1 sauce and a drink for $10. The sauces are delicious and I LOVED that there was plenty of filling in the empanadas! Sometimes you go somewhere else and the empanadas are mostly dough. One more thing about the dough, I highly doubt these are made with real MASA. I don't know what they used, but it wasn't MASA. Milo, the owner, is super responsive and did a FANTASTIC job of providing rice and beans and over 200 empanadas that were a TOTAL HIT with my guests! Recently back from vacation in Clearwater beach. Had the absolute pleasure of eating at Empanada Brothers. They had a ton of filing choices and different sauces. Plus, my wife is allergic to gluten and nearly all of their empanadas were gluten free (only a couple of fillings had gluten ingredients). We tried varieties (2 each) and they were all very good (best was the cheese burger). They also had gluten free fries (a regular order was huge). My review of Empanada Brothers begins with a phone call. I checked Instagram to see their latest menu post, to call in the order to go. Ashley answered the phone on the second ring. Her voice was like actual sunshine. She clearly explained what was available and what had already been sold out. After making our selection she asked what time we would be there to pick it up. We were about 16 minutes away. She told us she would coordinate the cook time to make sure they were perfectly fresh for us (excuse me I'm sorry I didn't realize I was calling the Four Seasons!?). Once we arrived, I masked up, entered the store and sitting there hot and fresh were my 3 empanadas. Ashley totally delivered. The shop was empty except for her and the owner. The empanadas are labeled on the box from left to right. The teriyaki was my favorite, the Cuban was super cheesy, and the buffalo chicken was surprisingly mild in heat. There are so many yummy sauces, it seems you can really customize your flavor by experimenting with the different sauces or by adding heat like Tabasco even! I had so much fun chatting with the two of them. They indulged us by sharing secrets about their favorite empanadas as well as the origins of the tasty twist on a Colombian tradition. Things I learned: -Columbian empanadas are traditionally made with a white potato in the filling -They refer time that as "grandma style" here -The buffalo chicken is the owners favorite, it's also one of the ORIGINAL menu items -They sell out FAST. The owners passion for empanadas and the compassion for the customer absolutely radiate from him. We talked about his business and menu offerings for a good 15 before placing our order. They have a giant list of empanadas that they make with a certain number that circulate weekly. Although frozen, the empanadas are handmade and come paired with amazing sauces. We couldn't decide which ones to try so we made the most logical decision - to get all of them! Honestly, there was not a single empanada that I did not like.
