Wowowow I was really so impressed with this place! Colombian style empanadas are already the best type of empanada, but their take on flavor combinations makes it all that much better. I think the prices are super fair, especially their combo/lunch special options. Even without, it was a great price for a three empanada lunch. I ordered the Cubano, Beef/Chorizo/Rice and Bean, and the Chicken/Potato. The cubano was by far my favorite. But each one tasted fresh and flavorful. What really sets this place apart is the service. I appreciate the time they took to talk me through flavors and help me choose my order. I also liked that they hand label each plate with the names of the empanadas so they are easier to eat. The owner noticed that my group couldn't fit at any of the tables available so he brought a chair out from the back to make more room for us without us even asking. We were also there near closing and I believe they had some leftovers fries in the fryer so they brought us a basket free of charge while we ate. The inside is very tiny and simple, with small business charm. Probably ideal for takeout though. The employees are truly so kind and love what they do! If I lived in the area I'd be here all the time.

Very tasty empanadas from a charming place with super nice employees and great service. If you like trying different types of empanadas there is a lot of variety here, and they also seem to change it out frequently. They seem to have some sort of loyalty card that gets you some deals too. The employees were very friendly and helpful (setting up table to eat, helping with order details, etc) The pork & cheesy rice empanadas were very good with the cilantro lime sauce. The yellow rice and beans that come with the Saturday special weren't mind-blowing but a nice addition. Maybe not the best idea to get a rice-y empanada with a rice side. The place lacks seating, but it's best suited as a pickup place anyways. I'd stop by frequently if I lived nearby.

This is a very cute little hole-in-the-wall place and I'm so happy I discovered it a few years ago! The prices are very good and the empanadas are incredibly delicious. There isn't a ton of seating inside but these can easily be taken to go as well! The service was absolutely amazing, each person working was so friendly, helpful, and made sure we had the best experience possible. They set up a table for us, helped with choosing our orders, and checked on us multiple times throughout the meal. Every flavor I've tried here has been delicious and I love that they have so many unique and rotating options! Definitely a perfect lunch spot in the area.

Empanadas and a Mexican coke! Yummy!!

This is a family favorite for our family that has lots of food allergies, and celiac disease. Highly recommend their staff is very knowledgeable. They're kind their space is always clean and the food is so incredibly good! It gets a 10 out of 10 with all the recommendations.

It was very hot that day when I got there. Seems like the AC wasn't working, but it doesn't bother me because I got takeout anyways. It was my very first time there and they were super friendly. I got a lot of different flavors to try, and they were all very good. However, so far my favorite one is pork and potato, and also the guava mozzarella.

Fantastic service and food! We were greeted by the awesome staff. It was my first time here and they came highly recommended! I ordered the lunch special 4 empanadas, 2 flavors, and a drink for $10. I chose 2 Cheeseburger empanadas with beechwood smoked cheddar and 2 Tavern Ham & Cheddar. For my sauces I picked the pink sauce and the Cubano dip with the recommendation of staff. They are made out of corn so they are gluten free! They are also made fresh! They were so flavorful. The sauces were perfect. They had so many options of empanadas, sauces, and drinks. It was hard to decide but I will definitely be back!

Second time stopping in and we love this variations they offer. The owners are their to assist with any questions or concerns with allergies you may have. They are made fresh upon order and don't sit under a heat lamp like most places. They also offer a variation of sauces to go along with empanadas. It's a small places with a few tables and chairs. Will recommend to anyone traveling thru the area. Menu items go quickly so make sure to go earlier in the day to avoid missing out.

Referred to us by a friend we gave Empanada Brothers on Seminole Blvd a try and GLAD WE DID! This is one-o-those HIDDEN GEMS full of flavor, Chéfs Love and at bargain basement prices. These Colombian Style Empanadas are made fresh to order, come in a MULTITUDE of flavors and are delicious little nuggets! At $2.50 to $3.25 each average, a lunch special of 4 & a drink @ $10 or 6 for $14 - one can get a full belly (even a big one) for about $15, maybe less! They even have Dessert Empanadas sweet & tasty! This family operation is friendly and courteous, offers indoor seating that is clean and comfortable or take-away and is now our newest HIDDEN GEM! If you like Empanadas, you'll love the Empanada Brothers! Give them a try!

I don't like giving any small business anything lower than a 5 star, but I don't understand people saying these are freshly made in front of you. I saw them more than once go outside and come back inside with bags of frozen empanadas. There was a Spanish lady making them in front of you, but those are not the ones we got. She was making a bunch and when you put 2 and 2 together: making a bunch and then seeing frozen ones coming in-I'm sure you're getting the previously frozen ones. That really threw me for a loop! However, I did like that they were very tasty (not like my aunt's from Central America) and I did like that they had many flavor options! The ambiance was just ok, too. It's in a strip mall and there are a few tables where you can eat from. Keep in mind, that the ONLY thing they serve are empanadas. They did have a great deal that you can get 4 empanadas (2 flavors) with 1 sauce and a drink for $10. The sauces are delicious and I LOVED that there was plenty of filling in the empanadas! Sometimes you go somewhere else and the empanadas are mostly dough. One more thing about the dough, I highly doubt these are made with real MASA. I don't know what they used, but it wasn't MASA. Nonetheless, they tasted good. Maybe Venezuela makes them without MASA? I don't know. I say try this place for yourself. That's what I did.

    Two empanadas to go!

The lady at the counter said I will want to come back after eating their empanada and she was most certainly correct! The empanada was hot, crispy, and delicious! I especially enjoyed my Colombian Chicken and Cheese!

The teriyaki was my favorite, the Cuban was super cheesy, and the buffalo chicken was surprisingly mild in heat.

After looking at reviews on Yelp, we decided to check out Alma Llanera in St Pete. We made the drive and were welcomed when we walked in. They have a great overall selection on their menu, a variety of authentic Venezuelan dishes you can dig in to. Really, we were craving empanadas - but we are eager to try more dishes next time. We ordered three carne mechada empanadas (shredded beef hand pies), one cheese empanada, and two mora natural juices. Each orderaccompanied with a side of their house sauces that compliment the natural on-going flavors of the empanda - a creamy, white garlic sauce (salsa de ajo) and a cilantro based sauce (salsa de cilantro). The moment you sink you teeth into their empanadas, you're brought to a whole new world - A country called Venezuela! You are instantly met were explosive delicious flavors. The outter shell of the empanada has this savory, with a slight hint of sweet flavor. The inner part is stuffed with tender, satuéed shredded beef, you can taste the amazing flavors of the sofrito based meat. I would recommend anyone, someone who has yet to try this place to someone who eats empanadas on a daily basis, to come on and give them a whirl. It's a must try!
