    Dry aged 12 ounce tenderloin

This was our first time at Eden. My wife and I took our son during parent's weekend at Syracuse. It was a little difficult to find because the entrance is nondescript. When you walk in, you see the hostess and one or two tables. The main part of the restaurant is a few steps down. They really were innovative with the space. At the very rear is an open kitchen and to the left is a nice bar seating area. I have a photo to show the layout. Our server came over and greeted us. She made some great drink selections and guided us through the menu. The menu is small but diverse. Once again, good innovation. I started with their take on a Manhattan and my wife had a specialty one that I can't remember. They were excellent - smooth and well balanced. We received the chefs amusement which was very tasty. We ordered the mushroom toast with the poached egg and the Halloumi cheese as appetizers . They were fantastic. This was a good sign. They had some specialty steaks which was what my son and I were looking for. They are dry aged on site. He got the 12 ounce tenderloin and I got a 25 ounce bone-in ribeye with bone marrow as an accompaniment. My wife got the halibut. It would be a bold faced lie if I told you that I have had a better prepared and flavorful steak. My son ate the whole thing!! I had half left over and took it with me to the hotel fridge and home to RI for a great lunch. My wife's halibut was good but not in the league of those steaks. Was it expensive? Yes it was but it was totally worth it. The items on the menu and cocktails are reasonable considering the quality. The steaks are $$$$ but SO GOOD. I think it is the best food I have had in Syracuse and a fun atmosphere. Try it!

They don't have apples on the menu, but the food here is heavenly. The entrees (strip steak, filet and roast chicken) are the stars of the menu, taking advantage of the wood-fired oven. The desserts were fantastic as well, although the lemon tart is much more substantial than the chocolate lava cake. The roasted carrots were delicious but quite pricey for what you get. I'd pass on the root vegetable charcuterie. Hard to find from the street in Hanover Square. It's next to Maxwells. Cozy subterranean space. Tables by the wood fired area are the most charming

The unassuming entrance, I finally entered. The smell was totally intoxicating, the vibes reminded me of Fish Friar. The iPad menu was a pleasant "boojie" surprise, along with the starting compliments-of-the-chef goat cheese crostini. A white glass of wine & lemon cocktail were needed with the beet salad (yummy flavors and textures) and Beef Confit (I personally didn't like). Then, I HAD to get the infamous strip, chimichuri with tons of mushrooms, as well as chicken that I can't remember the name of but was fall off the bone. Ended with the Lemon meringue which was a great flavor cleanser. Definitely returning for some fall dishes!l

After hearing great things about Eden from friends and family, we finally gave it a try. We made a reservation for 5:30 and the restaurant was mostly empty when we arrived. We were seated at the bar, which was made of stone/concrete. The regular dinner tables were made of cool looking wood slabs, and the whole restaurant had a very approachable but still upscale vibe. They gave us a tablet with the menu and full wine list, and explained how to navigate it. I liked that the wine list had lots of local options, but featured selections from more typical wine regions like France and California as well. There weren't any mocktails listed, but when I asked the bartender he offered two mocktail options. I had the grapefruit one and it was very good. The food menu did not exactly match what was online, so I'd recommend coming in with an open mind or calling the restaurant if you had your heart set on a certain dish other than steak. For steaks, I noticed that they sold out of certain cuts throughout the evening, so I'd recommend a reservation on the early side if you want a full range of options. In general, I didn't find the service overly attentive, but we were checked on often enough and served fairly quickly. The bartender who was waiting on us did a nice job describing the cuts of steak available. Before our entrees arrived, they brought out an amuse bouche and a green salad, which is a nice touch. I had the pasta entree and my husband ordered a steak, and we both cleared our plates. We had the chocolate mousse for dessert which was a nice portion to share. Overall, I'd recommend this restaurant and hope to return soon. As someone who doesn't really eat steak, I wasn't sure what to expect, but I really enjoyed my meal and the overall experience.

The service is friendly, attentive, and welcoming. The food selection is not extensive. They have small plates and large plates. Steak, chicken, fish and pasta choices. All unique and cooked to order. I had NY Strip steak, as did another person in our party. Also selected... Halibut (beautiful presentation) and a pasta dish with goat cheese. All four of us loved our meals. Yummy sides and delicious sauces came with each one. Three folks ordered dessert (a lemon merengue, chocolate mousse, and a blueberry compote). Brian (our server - phenomenonal) brought me a spoon so I could sample them if allowed. Pretty funny! Everything is presented so well. This is a farm to table place with almost all food locally sourced. The Halibut is from Maine. The evening was a 10/10. Only thing they need to do differently is put felt on the bottom of the chair legs. Very noisy when chairs move!

Eden is a great spot for an upscale dinner with a relaxed feel. The host was warm in greeting us and the menu is short but sweet (except maybe for their great selection of spirits and wine). They explain that 95% of what is served is sourced locally within the state of New York. I love this style of dining and am happy we have a spot right in here in Syracuse. My beeswax gin cocktail was delicious and each of the dishes we had tasted great. The halloumi, mushroom toast, and chicken were cooked perfectly. They had us eating up every bite and leaving the plate clean. Service was pleasant - they were attentive and helpful but never stiff. They made some modifications to the mushroom toast (bread on side) for my gluten allergy which I'm always grateful for. This is a great spot to grab a nightcap with a friend, split a glass of wine and a bite to eat or enjoy the full dinner service. The open wood fired kitchen gives the place a cozy, relaxed feel. We loved the food and will be back!

This was our fourth time dining at Eden and served as a reminder for why we continue to come back for more. Girlfriend and I had a reservation for Valentine's Day and were seated promptly on-time. We opted for a glass of sparkling wine each, and shared the Beet Salad and Beef Confit appetizers to start off our evening. Delicious! Pleasantly surprised to find that the beets were served warm -- great flavor profile with the goat cheese. After having dined here multiple times, we both came in knowing what exactly we wanted for our entrees -- the NY Strip. These were both cooked perfectly and were a great serving size, in fact, larger than we remember! A great amount of kale on both made for a well-balanced dish with a tremendous flavor profile from the wood-fired steak and chimichurri. I opted to add the compound butter to mine, which proved to be the cherry on top of a delicious meal. Finally, we finished with the chocolate mousse, which is a must for us every time we dine here. Overall, we had a wonderful meal and memorable visit to Eden. We did feel a bit rushed at times by the waitstaff checking in to clear plates, but nothing that impacted our evening to an overwhelmingly negative degree. We will definitely be back for our next special occasion!

This restaurant is just wonderful the lighting and plants etc lend to the "Eden" atmosphere which are newer changes and just make this restaurant and even better place to have a special dinner. The food of course was amazing with steaks cooked to perfection and the capelletti is to die for!!!! Small plates were all fantastic and the local red blend wine from standing stone was the perfect addition to our meal. Thank you to Paige and Tyler for the amazing service and the the food as always was just perfection!

We were a party of 6 that dropped to three and they were super understanding! Brian was our waiter and he was fabulous! I couldn't decide on a cocktail so opted for sparkling water and he didn't push or ask me again which I appreciated. He was knowledgeable and answered all our questions! Everything was perfect! Every single bite! Food is on the pricier side but so worth it! Fresh, tasty and cooked perfectly! We will be back!

    Amuse-bouche
    Amber Y.

We loved the atmosphere stepping into Eden for dinner. It's smaller than I anticipated, but cozy, and smells of lovely wood fire. The service is top notch, with no detail missed from an Amuse-bouche to a special interactive wine menu, to a kind manager walking around and helping with things like tucking in your coat when she sees it hanging on the floor. Top-notch! Kyle was such an amazing delight and gave us the perfect amount of attention and space. Now the good part (food!) I started with the Red blend and the beet salad. The beets were warm and perfectly cooked, and the dish had some tangy like mandarin oranges, and delicious melty goat cheese. It was delicious! The Amuse-bouche was a little crouton with goat and pickled grape. I don't think I've had a more delicious goat cheese in my life- perfectly balanced and lovely tasting. I didn't love the red blend, but it was fine. It was lighter than any red blend I've had, but I noticed later that it was a NY region wine so maybe that's why. I went on to try the Malbec, which was much more of what I was looking for. For dinner, I had the strip steak and my partner had the halibut. Both dishes were delicious! I may have scaled back just slightly on the saltiness on the strip dish, as it was on the border of too much. Steak was cooked to medium rare although ordered medium, but I didn't mind- it was delicious. Chimichurri was lovely, and I enjoyed the smashed potatoes. Menu was a touch on the pricey side, but I think it was well worth it to have locally sourced and sustainably sourced foods. We'll be back to try some more goodies!

I apologize as I cannot remember the exact names of the meal other than generalized meal. My descriptions do not even give this food justice as they were phenomenal. Great ambience and staff. To be honest...this is another great and surprising Yelp find.

Unfortunately, based on our visit, I do not anticipate returning. While I do have several culinary critiques--such as paying for the luxury wine pairing only to receive a bold Burgundy alongside Linguine and Clams, or seeing "Caviar" listed on the menu and discovering it was actually Bowfin roe--these are ultimately matters of taste and expectation. Likewise, the eclectic menu progression, shifting from Korean/Asian-inspired starters to Eastern European notes and then unexpectedly into Italian influences, was unusual but clearly stated ahead of time. SEE UPDATED REVIEW FOLLOWING THIS SECTION SPECIFICALLY RELATING TO "SERVICE FEE". What was not clearly stated--and what I believe crosses into dishonest practice--was the service fee. The menu advertised on Instagram included fine print noting a 3% service fee. That seemed reasonable. However, the check we received instead included a 22% service fee, which is a significant and unexplained deviation. This is not a simple oversight. The terms presented online at the time of reservation did not match the terms presented at the restaurant. (UPDATED REVIEW: Following my review, one of the owners of Noble Cellar reached out to discuss my experience. We had an in‑depth, thoughtful conversation about the complexities of New York State restaurant laws, particularly those governing how front‑of‑house staff may be tipped and how back‑of‑house employees may be compensated. While we were in agreement that the language surrounding the service fee was confusing, our discussion gave me a clearer understanding of the intent. I now feel far less certain that the discrepancy was malicious or deliberately deceptive. That said, it should have been made much clearer to diners that the service fee included what is traditionally understood as gratuity. Transparency in this area is crucial for maintaining guest trust, and clearer communication would have prevented the confusion I--and likely others--experienced. I want to commend the owner for reaching out directly and taking the time to address each of my concerns. His willingness to engage, listen, and provide context demonstrated genuine integrity. We also discussed my other critiques in depth, and it was evident that he was sincerely interested in my perspective and committed to further elevating the experience they aim to provide. I was invited back to experience a standard service, and I appreciate the opportunity. I look forward to giving Noble Cellar another chance and hope to update this review again following a future visit.) Our total bill was $599, including a $100 "service fee." I still chose to leave a $100 tip, as our server was attentive and should not be held responsible for management's decisions. In the end, we spent $700 for two people--paired with the added disappointment of feeling misled. I have photo documentation of both menus, and the discrepancy is unmistakable. I will be reaching out directly to ownership and management regarding this issue. Until then, I feel compelled to leave a 1-star review, as this level of inconsistency and lack of transparency is unacceptable. Without the inflated and undisclosed fee, my rating would have been closer to 3 stars, based on the food and overall experience.

It's not uncommon for a new restaurant to impress the first time, only to fall short on subsequent visits. Touché, however, proves to be a welcome exception. Their continued commitment to quality, creativity, and classic French influences remains evident in every aspect of the dining experience. Several days before our reservation, I received a courteous text from the charming and attentive hostess, Bridgette, requesting details about the members of my dining party, including names and dietary restrictions. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by name and seated at a table adorned with a personalized name card--an unnecessary but thoughtful and memorable gesture that set the tone for the evening. I selected the very reasonably priced three‑course prix fixe menu ($70), while the rest of my party opted for the Steak Frites. My starter, a colossal scallop, was beautifully seasoned and perfectly cooked. While the nettle purée could have used a touch more vibrancy, it still complemented the bright yuzu dressing well. The main course--a perfectly cooked half duck breast accompanied by roasted celeriac purée and a currant‑cassis jus--was a standout. The deep berry notes paired beautifully with the richly rendered duck fat. Although I typically gravitate toward savory dishes, the dessert was an impressive finale: a Sablé Breton with blood orange cream, thyme Chantilly, thyme jam, and a rocher of coffee ice cream. The combination of sweet, salty, and herbaceous elements was wonderfully balanced and thoroughly enjoyable. I was fortunate enough to try a few bites of the Steak Frites, which did not disappoint--nor did it for the other members of my party. Our meals were complemented by excellent cocktails from the well‑stocked bar. The bartender was knowledgeable, skilled, and engaging. The open‑concept kitchen is also a delight to observe, and I look forward to reserving a seat at the chef's table on my next visit. One of the ongoing challenges in the Syracuse dining scene, in my opinion, is a general lack of restraint. Touché distinguishes itself with its thoughtful menu design, technical precision, and appropriate portion sizes. We left feeling thoroughly attended to and perfectly satiated. I sincerely hope Touché continues its pursuit of excellence both in the kitchen and in the dining room. Syracuse needs restaurants of this caliber, and I eagerly anticipate their spring and summer menus.

The service at the vineyard is a little strange because we sat in the main room upon entry but were told to go pick up our pizza in a different room. Thankfully they weren't very busy and the sweet lady that poured our wine ended up bringing the pizza over to us. They have 3 or 4 different rooms you can sit in. We chose the main room with both low top and high tops, one room had a fireplace to snuggle up next to in cooler months, and then the outdoor seating where they had live music allowed you to feel the breeze and see some views. The wine was good - our favorite of the day being the Cayuga White so we purchased a bottle to share which is a much better deal than buying by the $12 glass. We played cards while we sat and drank and it was a wonderful time.

I love that idea as it allows exposure to a variety of locations. The food was tasty and seasonal incorporating produce from leeks to beets. Also fruits from apples to cranberries. The wine selections were paired well with the food and throughly introduced. Very delicious!

The most incredible (and only) speakeasy in the Finger Lakes…read more After hours of driving, we knew we needed a cool spot to go to at night for some delicious wine. Of course, the Finger Lakes are KNOWN for wine so we're just thinking we're making reservations for a wine bar (with "speakeasy" vibes). Which that would've been totally cool with us. After continuous back and forth, changing our reservations 50 million times, adding and taking people out, we finally made it to Vinifera on a Friday night and were super apologetic since we had to make yet another change. The staff was absolutely incredible and accommodating, they made sure our party of 10 would be in the same room/table. The only "downfall" was that we'd have to share the room with another small party. Which was absolutely not a problem and we ended up being BFF'S with them by the end of the night. We met the owner Jim - the most incredible human - and he took us down to the speakeasy (which passes right through a super secretive door in the back of the main room upstairs). Side note - the main room upstairs is a vibe on it's own btw and we would've been absolutely fine and happy there. It's an actual wine store and you can purchase all kind of local wines. Be sure to ask and get all the recommendations you want. Not only did we get to enjoy an incredible time but we got a super cool VIP experience and learned the story and so much history about this place, the concept, the origin and what sparked the idea of creating it. That itself, was a treat. On to the actual speakeasy experience. When you go downstairs (through that fun super cool super secretive door) - you're instantly transported to another era, another time. It's dark, it's velvety, chandeliers, spiderwebs (the aesthetic kind, idk if there were actually any but it fit the vibe in my head), Leonardo Da Vinci, Mona Lisa, candles, curtains. There are two super cool rooms, one to the right (which is where our large party sat at) and one to the left - totally recommended for smaller groups, it's cozy, it's chill, you can interact and share with other guests too. Just by this, I'm wowed. As if this wasn't enough, the drinks were absolutely incredible. I ended up ordering some kind of a smoked drink and they happily substituted the regular old fashioned for mezcal. What a dream. Everyone was happy with their drink orders, some ordered some off the menu things and they happily made them - even though they technically only serve what's on the menu. Wine flights are also available if you're in the wine vibe. Bottom line: we loved this place SO much, we came back 2 night's later for our last night. We sat in the other room and absolutely loved and enjoyed it. I had a lavender drink and it was delish. This place is a GEM and you should absolutely check it out and support it if you're in the area. If you're not, well now you have a place I know you'll love to go to!

As we turned the corner we saw a sign in front of A.T. Walley's for $5 burger and chips or 2 Hoffman Hots with chips. Well, the price was right! The guy was outside on the sidewalk grilling them and it smelled really good. So even though I was in the mood for wings, we decided to give the food here a try. We went in and got a table with no problem. Waitress said that along with the regular Wednesday night specials they also had $4 Beef on Weck for $4. We were really hungry so we ordered 2 Beef on Weck sandwiches and the hot dog special. It was amazing! The beef and au jus was fabulous! They each came with kettle chips and pickles. Yum!!!! And who does not love a Hoffman Hot, right?! Then we saw that they had 11 menu items for just $5 on Thursday nights from 4-10 pm. We had to be downtown again the next night so we went back! I got the grilled chicken Caesar Salad and he got the NYS Fair beef and Lamb Gyro. Once again, full portions for only $5! What a find!! We had always just gone there for drinks and music prior to this. They have a great bar selection and have $3 drinks on Monday nights....including their signature cocktails! It is a great place to go, have a drink, hang out with friends, listen to music on occasion and now I will be stopping in to check out more on their menu as well!

Quality of the food depends. The $18 salad was a plate of iceberg lettuce with a few scraps of cheese thrown on. The salad was the biggest disappointment. On the other hand, the classic poutine was bang on. Great ratio of gravy to fries, everything was nice, all the flavors were right. But the rest of the poutines have too much quality variation, which is unforgivable for a place advertising their 12 different kinds of poutine. None of the other flavors were nearly as good as the classic, with combos that didn't work. The burger was tasty. However, it was supposed to be medium and it was very rare. The beer cheese pretzel was also disappointing. The cheese had been cooked too long, or maybe microwaved, because it had seized and was very coarse and mealy. The amount of cheese was also not enough for the pretzel. Service was great. No complaints about any of the waitresses or hostesses. Overall, a fine place near downtown to get a classic poutine and an artisanal beer. Stay away from everything else.
