Chill out and listen to the fountain! Little nooks all to yourself.

Easy scheduling, staff is very accommodating. The chill area with the fountain has a great relaxing atmosphere. Every different experience I've had there has been top notch. Facial, massage, scrub, soak. Each technician listened to my concerns, if any, and followed through. Can't wait to go back. Would love a hot cup of tea next time while I wait!

I've been to this spa twice using Groupon. And it's not bad at all. I went to a Korean Spa in NJ and it changed my life. I didn't even get a massage; just used the saunas and I came out a new being. I would recommend and go here since it's in the city. It's clean, organized and can be relaxing when it's not crowded. Go on a week day before lunch or early Saturday morning for the best service. I feel like it can be a tab bit overpriced. Just a sprinkle. Like the Groupon deal has a facial BUT it doesn't include extraction or scrub which is the main reason I get a facial so I always pay $40-60 more on top of the Groupon not including mandatory 10 or 15 percent tip. I like that they give tea but I never get to relax and enjoy it since I am rushed to facial or massage.

I've been to Eden Med Spa a few times. It's consistent, clean and enjoyable. I always use their Groupon which offers a nice savings for their massages, scrubs and facials. Booking an appointment is also easy. I've never had an issue adding a next day appointment. When I arrived, I was quickly checked in, given slippers and a locker key. They have a shower and sauna for you to use pre/ post your service. You wait in a serene waiting area with others with bamboo plants, dim lighting and spa music. I admit it can be a little noisy if there are large groups also waiting but it's still nice for the cost. The massages and scrubs are great! Some scrubs include a soak in a tub with rose petals. The masseurs are great and listen to your needs. They offer upgrades but are not pushy. Tip and tax is added to Groupons but is not kept hidden. They are upfront about it. All in all, a good spot to relax alone or with friends.

Wow! My friend got the 80 min massage with a foot mask from groupon, but she couldn't make it and gifted it to me. When I entered, I checked in and exchanged my shoes for slippers. They ask you if you prefer a female or male masseuse. After, I walked into a lounge area filled with lavender aroma and waterfall music. If you walk further in, you see massage rooms, restroom, and locker rooms. I received a key bracelet with a number on it for a locker. I changed into a robe. My masseuse Lisa was ready for me. I went into the room and laid underneath the sheets. She is amazing!!! Wow!!! She asked me if I had any problems and of course I mentioned my shoulders & neck since I have been working nonstop front of the computer. I highly recommend Lisa! She got my knots in my shoulders consistently. Pressure points are on point!!! I would rate her strength 5/5. I have to say the 80 min whole body massage is such a wonderful deal. The massage involved bare hands, oil, hot towel, hot scrubbing/rubbing tool, and hot stones. At the end of it she offered me water/coffee. They also have a sauna room and a shower room. The location is right off the N/R/W stop on Canal St/Broadway. Convenient for sure! You don't tip your masseuse directly when you check-out. Instead you put cash in a small envelope for your masseuse and drop it in a plastic box.

Very nice relaxing zen feeling spa. I got a 1 hour massage. It was amazing. I will definitely be returning. Felt lite as a feather .

The service is good, people are polite. The price is high which is expected for the location but can be a bit much for your casual massage goer. I would recommend attending though know your phone may not work in some parts of the facility.

I got the Groupon to enjoy the 80-minute essential massage and foot mask with the meal after during my stay in NYC. Love that I got a quick tour of the place before getting ready for my spa treatment. It was great that they were able to get me started early before my appointment. This place is very well maintained. After changing into the robe, I helped myself with some peanuts and water and sat in the lounge, facing the calming water fountain which was in the center of the room. There was a table of crackers and peanuts for the guests to eat while waiting. Stephanie called me and ushered me into one of the rooms. It was 80 minutes of pure relaxation and bliss. Great pressure at the start then more swedish, sweeping motions with the oils. Very thorough scalp and head massage while face down and also face up. The foot mask was good since I had been walking a lot. The stretches were good too and much needed. Stephanie melted the tension, aches and pain. All the options for the complimentary food sounded delicious. I opted for the shrimp, chicken and mushroom pasta and it was a plate of yummy goodness! So glad I found this place. Highly recommended! I wish they had one in San Antonio.

Is nudity required for the body scrub?

How do I make an appointment?

Hi, I'm thinking about getting a body scrub. What's the procedure of a scrub here? Will I be somehow covered or completely exposed?

First they put you in a tub with water and rose petals to soften your skin. They will wash you completely and hair if you want. Then they put you on a table connected to water and use whatever scrub you chose. Once that's done they will rinse you…

She set me up with some calming tea and brought me to a private changing area with a locker for my belongings. Everyone in the vicinity checked in to make sure I was doing ok. I was worried that because I had arrived late, I would eat up some of my massage time. No siree! They moved my massage to start when I was ready to begin. I booked the 90 minute Nuansa classic massage. You know how some places start the clock before you've sat down and finish the massage early (aka you pay for an hour and it's only about 45 minutes)? Well! That's not the case here! I got all 90 minutes of my massage. The massage itself: not to be believed. Lukkana started by saying "time to relax". And boy did I. Let me tell you one thing about me - I have the most ticklish legs of anyone I've ever met. Usually, when I have my legs massaged, I kick a hole in the wall and the masseuse files for a lawsuit (this is an exaggeration). Well! Somehow, Lukkana was able to work the muscles in my leg without triggering my dainty ticklish reflexes. I was astonished! Then, you know how sometimes you ask for a firm touch and you get jelly hands? Or the other way around and you're walking out with bruises? WELL - Lukkana made me feel immensely relaxed WHILE ALSO really working the tissue. What a novelty. She finished up with a scalp massage, which is truly the way to my heart. 11 out of 10. Would recommend. Thank you so much for making my day.

Bonus points for the free underground parking which is especially valuable in the Flushing area. You pay at the front, leave your ID, then take off your shoes before heading downstairs to the wet area. There's shoe cubbies on the first level, but I prefer to take my shoes downstairs to your assigned locker so I don't have to worry about them potentially going missing. For proper etiquette just make sure to hold off on putting them on until you get to the first level when you're leaving. The co-ed clothed area (uniforms provided at check-in) is on the second level. There's additional saunas (clay, salt, etc.), ice room, sleep room, lots of recliners and even a restaurant up there. The wet area is pretty typical for a Korean spa. Gender segregated and nude only. There's a cold plunge, hot pool and warm pool. A row of seats for relaxing. A row of standing showers and two rows of sitting showers. Body scrub area. Sauna and steam room. Im from California but visit New York Spa & Sauna every time I come, which is about twice a year. However, this time I found the experience to be slightly different. Mainly that there's now a spa attendant in the men's wet area who sits right outside of the steam room. He frequently checks the steam and sauna plus strictly enforces the eight person capacity in the steam room. I can assume the purpose is to curb potential misconduct. IYKYK. On my prior visits, especially during the winter, there's times where upwards of a dozen or more people would be packed into the steam room at a time, quite the sausage fest. So I guess it's a plus for you now if you prefer having a little more space in there. The attendant was friendly enough and seems to strike a good enough balance of doing his job and not being too intrusive. I just found it slightly less relaxing since he's constantly counting up and down as people enter and leave the steam room. "Three, two, one, full, one, full, one, two, one, full, one two, three, two, one full, one, full again, please wait" is all you'll constantly hear now in the wet area. Eventually I did tone it out and even knocked out on one of the chairs for a bit, so I still found it overall a relaxing experience, just slightly less so than before. The spa opens until 11pm but the steam closes as 8:30pm and sauna at 9:00pm. If you stay past that, you're welcome to use the other amenities until they announce the check-out time which is a bit before 11pm. It's not the sauna's fault that the guests were being racist, but the guests here might not be as welcoming to other races just based on my one experience alone. This is reflected in the score I gave them. There's nothing extraordinary about this spa and sauna place! It's a great place for rest. If you need any of the additional massages, it's required that you have to be completed naked and washed from head to toe before sitting down on the massage table, at least on the women side.
