Superb company. Hire them!…read more Did our entire backyard from scratch - design through installation - and were great at every step. The designer incorporated the features we liked rather than pushing a vision on us, the project manager was in constant communication and the labor team were professional and hard workers. They worked within our budget, ran a self-contained job and had almost no impact on our daily lives. They left the place looking wonderful and had a number of nice little touches - moving our birdfeeder, for example, rather than just tearing it down during the construction. My only issue was initial response - I submitted the online form and it took about a week to get a reply, so if you want quick communications I suggest calling them. We'll be using them again for sure.

DO NOT HIRE THIS LANDSCAPER unless you thrive on frustration…read more I got an estimate from Erik Morales to lay pavers (which I already had), install some bullnose on a couple of large raised planters, and build a redwood pergola for a ~15'x18' section of my back yard. He came back with an almost $14K estimate on April 14. I'm 66 and have lung cancer, and needed the work done, so I signed the paperwork. Then the waiting game started. Over the next month I contacted the company at least 5 times by phone and email. First the wife/secretary was sick, then they were out of town, then "we're working on the May calendar", then another excuse, followed by silence. Since then my son-in-law and I got the ground leveled and prepped and are laying the pavers this weekend. Remember I'm 66 with terminal cancer and already have the pavers AND bullnose. It's NOT THAT HARD. The pergola's going in next week. It's very frustrating to deal with a contractor that has absolutely no communication skills. If you don't want the job, just tell me, don't jack me around for a month. Estimate expired May 14. Such a waste of what little time I have left. Three thumbs WAY down for this bozo.

In a world where we often don't feel heard, I was impressed at how well she listened to my preferences and ideas, and then translated these bits and pieces into beautiful plans. I especially appreciated how she added her expertise and experience to my input, and also checked in along the way - sometimes with images; "Does it look like this?" I also ended up going with the landscape contractor she recommended to complete the work. After delivering the plans, she agreed to oversee the implementation of the plans as well as the building of a custom shed. Jennifer is a talented, wise, and kind person, and I highly recommend her landscape design services.

I was referred to Jennifer Craven Landscape Design by my neighbor who had worked with Jennifer to…read moretransform her backyard a couple of years before. It was truly a pleasure to work with her! I had been planning my backyard/side yard for months and had many ideas of things I did and didn't like. Jennifer listened, asked great questions, and helped to pull those ideas together in a cohesive plan. Once she had created the initial plan, the process was very collaborative, with us going back and forth until the plan was final. Jennifer was very knowledgeable and patient and cheerfully answered my many, many questions. We were looking to get rid of our lawn, but wanted a mix of "dry creek bed" and drought-tolerant plants to soften the look. One of the challenges was working around a large (and, I'll admit--ugly) trampoline that we want to keep for now, but will probably give away in a few years. Jennifer's design included where to place the trampoline without it becoming a focal point, and ideas for what plants would go in that space in the future. Jennifer then referred me to a trusted contractor who brought the plan to life with beautiful results. Jennifer was also responsive, patient, and helpful when questions came up about plants or placement during the construction process. The end result was a yard even better than I had imagined: a natural-looking, serene, beautiful space with an interesting mix of shapes, colors, and textures. I highly recommend Jennifer to anyone looking to beautify their outdoor space!

After…read moreweeks of searching, I found Cyn at YesPlease.Garden, and hiring her was one of the best decisions we made. From the start, the entire process was organized, efficient, and professional. Cyn took the time to understand not just what we wanted, but the feeling we wanted our outdoor living space to have. Her weekly updates kept us informed, and she was incredibly patient, explaining design choices, offering alternatives, and helping us make confident decisions. The 3D renderings were a game changer. They helped us visualize the finished project before construction began, and the final design perfectly balanced beauty and function. Every inch of our yard was thoughtfully planned, from traffic flow to native plants that will thrive, creating the peaceful, Zen-inspired space we had envisioned. Cyn's guidance during contractor selection was invaluable. She gave us the tools to evaluate bids with confidence. We ultimately hired Landscape Experts, and watching the designer and contractor work together made it clear how much value that partnership brings. I originally thought I could manage the contractor oversight myself, but I quickly realized the questions that come up during construction required a designer's expertise. Hiring Cyn for installation oversight was worth every penny. Our backyard turned out exactly as we envisioned, and we absolutely love our new outdoor living space. If you're planning a landscape renovation, I can't recommend Cyn highly enough. Her creativity, professionalism, communication, and attention to detail made all the difference. You'll be glad you hired her.

From our first meeting, she listened carefully to our ideas, understood the feeling we wanted for both the front and back yard, and turned those early thoughts into a thoughtful, beautiful design that fit our budget and aesthetic. Throughout the process, Cyn was organized, detail oriented, and an excellent communicator. She kept the project moving forward, checked in often, and worked closely with the installer to make sure every element was done right. Her ability to manage the many moving parts of the project gave us confidence from start to finish. She also has a remarkable eye for detail, from plant and boulder selection to the overall flow and balance of the space. Just as importantly, she truly listened to our feedback and incorporated it in ways that made the final result feel personal and exactly right for us. Even after installation, Cyn continued to follow through, returning to check on the plants and helping us replace those that had not made it through the season. Thanks to her care, professionalism, and steady guidance, we now have a yard that brings us joy every day.

I wanted a low maintenance yard with many native plants but I was having a very difficult time finding a designer with knowledge of native plants. After speaking with Jennifer on the phone I knew that she had experience with, and knowledge of, the plants native to our area. Jen came to our house and basically held my anxious hand through the whole process. After deciding to remove our pool, we hired Aaron as the installer for our new landscape project, and we are so glad we did. For months, work was moving forward almost every day, from demolition prep and grading to hardscape, planting, irrigation, lighting, fencing, pergola installation, pebble work, and the finishing touches. The quality of the work was excellent throughout. The paver patio, carport, and front entry all turned out beautifully, and the plants, irrigation, and lighting were installed with great care. We were especially impressed by the rock and pebble work, particularly the dry creek and front mow strip. The mix of stone sizes gave everything a natural, detailed, and polished look that really elevated the final result. Aaron also has a strong eye for detail. He regularly caught things that needed adjustment, even when we had not noticed them ourselves, and he stayed focused on getting everything right. While there were some issues that delayed finishing the project, Aaron took responsibility and worked with us to make them right, which we truly appreciated. In the end, what matters most is that we are thrilled with the outcome. Our yard feels beautiful, welcoming, and complete, and we look forward to years of enjoying it.

We had everything completely demoed in order to start from scratch. We wanted a more rustic, traditional looking garden with brick pathways and lots of plants. Having never done a project like this before, we hired a landscape designer: Cyn Coulouthros. She put together a design for us and recommended Aaron's team at Landscape Experts due to their experience with softscaping and hardscaping, especially their brick work. And they would be able to deliver the traditional look we were going for. I cannot say enough good things about Aaron and his team. They go above and beyond to make sure you get what you want! Aaron is so easy to work with and always responsive. The lead on our project was Raul who is amazing at what he does! He takes pride in his work and is incredibly talented. If you need any landscaping, I highly recommend Landscape Experts. Some things Aaron's team did for us: Laid a brick pathway, laid a flagstone patio, installed pathway lights, installed much needed drainage, installed a drip system and Rachio controller (to program the sprinklers from your phone), resurfaced an existing raised seating area for us as it was completely deformed (likely from earthquakes), placed mulch, planted all of the trees and plants, etc. An additional note, Aaron doesn't forget about you once the job is done. We had a light go out and he sent someone over immediately to fix it, as an example. If you're having any issues, he wants to help, even if it's unrelated to anything they've worked on. We will 100% be using them when we're ready to do our front yard and for anything else landscape related! Thank you so much Aaron and Landscape Experts for giving us our dream backyard! We met with Lund landscaper Taylor Hawkins to discuss options. He came back with a really great preliminary design that matched all our wants and needs. We suggested a small change and he finalized a really great design. Since we already had a stone terrace and wanted to optimize the budget, we chose to match our existing look and Taylor's design addressed all our needs: Most important to us, improved drainage and gravel instead of grass; a continuous paved patio where the raised deck once stood, giving us a more useable, flat surface all the way to the terrace steps, and finally, plantings that enhanced our existing landscape, an upgrade to the sprinkler system and bonuses like a seat wall to expand the use of the patio for guests. Lund even took existing pavers that were removed from the old build and used them to create a circular patio in an area that had been useless before. Lund's talented team were on time, every day, all day. We had one or two weather delays, but if it wasn't pouring, they were there working. If one part couldn't be done due to rain, they moved to something else they could do under shelter. It was like that with every part of the project. Taylor provided guidance, Raphael was an amazing craftsman who installed the pavers with the most amazingly accurate drainage (including additional drainage and water for our potted patio roses), new circular patio and retaining wall. Likewise, Martine built the most beautiful steps for us and finished up the seat wall, Manuel handled the dig out, drainage and gravel work, Angel ordered the plant material and marshalled the guys who planted everything (they were fantastic), and he and Rodrigo also handled the sprinkler system to all the existing plantings and left extra nodes available for future plants. If anyone was left out, please forgive, because the entire workforce were all professional, understanding, and always ready to assist and make a change if necessary. You can't do a project where you dig up your yard and not find the unexpected. Lund was very responsive and immediately addressed any issue, found a resolution, and it was done, usually within a day or two at most. We received everything we paid for, and more. We are currently enjoying the fruits of their labor! We would definitely use Lund Landscaping again and, in fact, we have already received a future quote for some changes we are contemplating on our fountain.
