BEWARE. I would give less than zero stars if I could. They held an estate sale in my home in May…read more2026. It is now August 4th, and I have not been paid. They have promised to pay several times, claiming they would send a check or send money via Zelle. Jimmy's phone mailbox is full and will not take messages, and he inconsistently answers texts. They said they were out of the country, returned last week, and would send a Zelle payment. Nada. In addition, they sold a built-in microwave in a custom cutout in my kitchen while a microwave that was for sale remained on the counter unsold (and is too small for the cutout). When I pointed this out, they offered to pay a fraction of the replacement cost. This could have been avoided with an inventory that they do not provide except for items valued over $1500. Jimmy inflates his capacity and does not meet promises. Be sure to read the other negative reviews which I failed to do before hiring Gold Standard. ADDITIONAL COMMENT: Our home is a four-bedroom, four-bath historic Spanish home in an architecturally significant LA neighborhood in Los Angeles. Prior to our whole-house estate sale, we removed broken items and items of little or worthless value, so that what remained would clearly be of value and displayed properly. The estate sale items included modern, upscale furniture (Restoration Hardware bed, Jonathan Adler couch, top kitchen appliances like 2 Breville toaster ovens, Sodastream machines, cookware, a transformer dining table and coffee table, West Elm couch, Gracious Home candlesticks and housewares, small items from world travels, designer clothing, original oil paintings by renowned artists - Jimmy said 15K-40K value, in other words, premium items). We allowed Jimmy to move in his own items - furniture, jewelry, clothing, mirrors, artwork - to augment the sale, including a very large coffee table that was left days after the sale. Almost none of the furniture was sold, yet I managed to sell almost all of it myself in the two weeks following the sale. I was paid after leaving reviews online, with a request by Gold Standard that I remove my reviews. I intended to do so following payment, only to find Jimmy's follow-up comment suggesting that we removed everything from our home and wanted to respond with this clarification. BTW, I was never reimbursed for the built-in microwave that they admitted was sold by mistake.
