*images of car and text exchange* I absolutely do not recommend. Not only did they change the location of where they put my car, I found it in an area with other damaged cars. I initially took my car to them because the check engine light was on and it wouldn't heat up which was presumably causing it to shake. I was told by the guy that wears the ball cap that antifreeze spilled to the bottom and it required new wiring. I was told it would cost $890 (rounding up) so I initially paid $400. When I called to pay the remaining balance 3 days later (on a Friday), they asked me if I ever had issues with it starting (I said no I had recently purchased it and it had been driving fine). They said they had to figure out what the issue was and would have the mechanic get back to me. I called again the next day (Saturday) after not hearing back by end of the day yesterday and was told the mechanic was out getting parts but would return in an hour. Two hours later no word from them so I called them and this time I was firm: what is going on? Why is the mechanic never there and I've called at different times on different days? Why isn't the car starting and it was driving just fine when I brought it to you? What does his notes say? Why doesn't he have any notes? Then I asked if he's worked on the car in the last two days that I've known about this starting issue and the response "probably not I don't know". Of course I was angry and demanded answers and still wasn't provided any. Instead I received these texts which I later learned were from one of their employees PERSONAL phone. I called for a tow truck then texted the number and told them the tow truck will be there in 30 mins (1pm). 30 mins later I received a text from the Eddie's number that they were closing for the day, when they have it listed that they close at 2p. When I called them he told me "idk why you're wasting time talking to me when you should be calling the tow truck" and claimed they had 3 other cars in front of mine and it required them to push it (even though they offer FREE TOWING) so I had to wait until Monday. When Monday came around I went to pick up my car and was asked if I could use a different card (even though it's the same Chase card I used to pay the initial $400) then was told to pay in cash because the card machine suddenly stopped working. After paying I was given the address 215 Hickory St and found my car WITH THE KEY INSIDE in this condition! Not only were all the windows rolled down but the sunroof was opened when it had just rained the day before and was expected to rain again! Completely ripped apart with damages that I didn't have before! When I called them the same man who's been answering the phone who wears the ball cap said "listen I'm not going to sit here and listen to you bitch" so I hung up on him because that concluded for me that this was all intentional and they didn't care at all. I DO NOT RECOMMEND. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. I am a late-20's black woman who often gets told I mirror a 12 year old--just for context. This was Eddie's 1013 Washburn St Scranton PA 18504. My receipt says Rewiring on passenger side, New Heater core Installed, Gallon Antifreeze and Floorboard $85/hr with 6% PA sales tax at $54 for a sum of $954.

    Broken lug nut

Broke down on a long distance road trip. Was happy at first because they got me in and out quick and it wasn't super over charged. I even tipped them. Come to find out when I go to take my tire off later, every single lug nut is unbelievably overtightened. Out of the four I've tried so far, I've managed to get two off with great difficulty, one, the aluminum outer layer stripped, and the last one I tried literally snapped. Not just the aluminum cover but the steel nut underneath actually snapped off and the base is now stuck on there. Not even sure what to do now.

My Father's car has locking hubcaps, and when I brought it home, we noticed a hubcap was missing. I immediately called this garage and asked if it was there, explaining which vehicle it was. He said it wasn't there, and I asked him to look again. I told him it had to be there, all four hubcaps were on the car before I brought it there!! He laughed and told me to "pick one up at the junkyard", and said he had to go!! What a CREEP!! I will NEVER TRUST this lousy "back alley" place with my car again!! Never mind my Father's car!! He was very upset. "A bunch of idiots", he called them, and he's right. I felt terrible for convincing my Father to let me take his Cadillac there. He had to buy a whole new set of hubcaps because of them!! NEVER AGAIN!!

My car was done quickly however they scammed me. My husband sent them out debit card info and…read moreconfined the price of $825 before he ran it. He replied "yes" in text message. I check my bank statement and they charged me $905! I called this morning and the man said it was probably tax but didn't know and would call me back. He called back and said it was tax and a 3.5% fee for using my card. If we knew there was a fee I would have brought cash! I asked him why he didn't advise of tax and the fee and he said we didn't ask! HELLO $825 right? That's a question. I did not authorize any other amount than $825!! This is very deceitful and due to this I will NOT bring any of our other cars to get fixed here! I didn't even get an apology instead I get a "you didn't ask" when they should advise there customers there's a fee. This is fraud and will be filling a complaint with the BBB.
