3. Italian Cheesesteak
Grethel D.

I ordered. Italian prosciutto sandwich but I asked for provolone because i preferred over the buratta cheese. We noticed the owner behind the counter and he said absolutely he could substitute the cheese. The order was wrong but the owner promptly came to our table and hand me 4 slices of provolone which was very much appreciated. My husband ordered Italian cheese steak. He throughly enjoyed it. I had leftovers. Very large sandwiches. My only complaint was the tomatoes could have been a little fresher. They were a bit soggy as you can see in my pic but otherwise great flavors. There is no bathroom here.

This place is not a 5 star .... It's a 10 star from the inside very clean and you can tell he truly loves his place . Beyond great customer service and the man makes sure your help and well hat off to you sir . Thank you for being you and I'm glad I stop in to get lunch . Now for the Philly cheese steak was on the best I've had . I've been to Philly and this one hands down way better and I got a side of onion rings and there are good as well . Again thank you for your kindness

I ordered the Eddies Favorite and it was delicious. The meat with the pepper combination worked well. The quality of the ingredients you can taste down to the bread. High recommended.

1. Philly Cheesesteak with wiz
Sam S.

Read about this location in a Phoenix magazine, so tried it today. My wife had the Chicken 8" and I had the Philly with wiz. We were not disappointed at all, the food we had was fantastic, the fries cooked to perfection. Definitely a Philly themed restaurant, lots of items about Philly. This place gets very busy, a wait can be expected, but the food Makes it all worth it. You have to try the food, it's great.

Heard about this place having some good sandwiches and had to try it out. Can stay in or take to go. Many great subs offered. My husband & I decided to split the Jack! It comes with melted Jack Cheese with juicy, tender thinly shaved or chopped ribeye steak. Haven't had this good of a sub steak since my last visit to NY from a street vendor.. Very tasty sandwich, we enjoyed it. Fries were good as well. Very friendly service. Not to busy when we arrived, but it was later in the afternoon. Looks like they do a good business & busy with take out orders too. Not a real big place, but quite a bit of seating inside and an outdoor table also. Note-If you are hungry go with the 8 inch for yourself. If you are starving go for the 12 inch (or split it). They are kinda expensive, but flavor wise is far better than the staple sandwich shops you see on every corner. If you like Philly Cheese Steaks or similar scrumptious sub sandwiches, try this place out.

Told ya they are big

I've eaten at Eddie's probably 20 times, and somehow I've never left a review. Time to fix that. Hands down, the BEST Philly cheesesteak I've had in Arizona. I always get the #1 Philly Cheesesteak, no red sauce. I like my Philly the old-school way--piled high with hot, thin-sliced steak, grilled onions and melted white American cheese tucked into a soft roll. Nothing fancy covering it up. Just hot, juicy steak, onions and gooey melted cheese soaking into the bread. Last night I decided to treat myself before getting serious about the gym again, and there was only one place I wanted. I ordered it to go, stopped at Circle K afterward to grab a drink, drove home, opened the wrapper and the thing was STILL so hot I almost burned my mouth on the first bite. And I didn't care. The steak was hot and juicy, the onions were grilled just right, the cheese was melted all through the meat, and the bread had soaked up just enough of those juices without turning soggy. That first bite where you get steak, onion, melted cheese and soft bread all together is ridiculous. Twenty visits isn't an accident. Eddie's is consistently that good. If you're looking for an authentic, no-BS Philly cheesesteak in Arizona, go to Eddie's. Get the #1. Just give it a minute before that first bite. Or don't. I never learn. I still keep pictures of the first time i ate there. Look at the size!!!

Giardiniera. Likely home canned too.

Well this is a very pleasant surprise and a little disappointing as well. Hurray for another steak sandwich place. Sad the place that used to be here is now gone . But here we are, and they have cheesesteaks. And they're good. Lotsa conversation from the owner/cook with customers. He's quite friendly and welcoming, most times. What I've heard most is about the quality of product used. Downside, they take way too long. On this occasion, ordered at 6:52 p.m., it's 7:28 and we are still waiting for our food. The place closes at 8:00 p.m When the food is brought to our table the Mozzarella is warm, not hot. I will say our sandwiches are hot. Generally good food. Time it takes from order to delivery of food varies. greatly. If you're prepared to wait you will not be disappointed. Hopefully he'll hire some additional staff to help crank out those tasty items, quicker.

Outstanding cheese steak sandwich with really good onion rings!

Oh my goodness!! I've been wanting to try Eddie's for a while . We finally got the chance today for lunch since we were out running errands. It was busy, & it's not a very big place, but it didn't take long to get our food. We both got the 8" cheese steak with mushroom, onion, extra cheese & ranch. Yes, we like ranch on our Philly sandwiches. Hubby added jalapeños. We shared an order of onion rings & a large drink. They were the best cheese steak sandwiches we have ever had! They were phenomenal! Eddie's has ruined Philly's for any other place. The onion rings were excellent too! They were crispy & not greasy at all. I could only eat half of my sandwich. I can't wait to eat the other half. It's about 20 minutes from our house & worth every minute! Staff are nice, friendly & helpful. This is the only place we will go for cheese steak sandwiches. They have lots of different food items, but it would be hard for us not to get the Philly.

Original Steak Philly with Cooper's Sharp Cheese
Jeremy R.

This is the best bite of food that you will have in Arizona, and not because the Michelin Guide feels that we don't have any high class restaurants worthy of a star. I've eaten at 30 Michelin 3 Star restaurants in Tokyo, Hong Kong, Paris, London, New York, Spain...and pound for pound based on execution, flavor, precision and consistency this may be one of the greatest things you will eat in your life, not just in AZ. Just make sure you order the Original Steak Philly (no red sauce) with onion and Coopers Sharp White American [which is a 100% must and is a cheese that is off menu however everyone that goes here gets it]. They have a regular and seeded semolina roll and you will want the seeded...just do it. The other reviews are not lying. These hole in the wall hidden gems in the world that keep cardiologists in business by prescribing statins to us pigs has really upped the ante on the food chain of life. Thank you Eddie!

Beef Brisket sandwich! Incredible
Ellison H.

I walked into the building and was immediately hit by the most incredible BBQ scent. Having lived in Philadelphia, I can confirm the cheesesteak was amazing and the beef brisket sandwich was top-tier mind blowing. The staff were super quick and helpful, and the owner even stopped by to say hello--it's no wonder this place is so busy! #BBQ #Philadelphia #Cheesesteak

The classic Philly cheesesteak

OH MY PHILLY CHEESESTEAK GOODNESS! Yes, it's in all caps and fully spelled out because it's worth the time to stop in and enjoy the BEST cheesesteak in the valley! What Eddie (and his family) cook up is nothing short of exceptional! From the juiciest meat, sweet peppers and cheese, everything is top quality delicious! But.... what really makes this sandwich so special and delicious is his bread! It 100% steals the show and pushes this sandwich into the extraordinary category! Light and airy, the bread does not get soggy yet remains crisp the whole time! The sandwich is deliciously satisfying without that heavy belly, I've just swallowed a brick feeling. Even more, the bread is soft to bite and it does not destroy the top of your mouth with dried out shards of crust just waiting stab your gums and mouth keeping your dentist employed from the mouth trauma. Not only is this sandwich DELICIOUS, it comes out so hot and steamy that you can peruse the love of all things Philadelphia on the walls! Once you can eat it, there is no need to feel rushed as the other half of your sandwich will stay warm because it is served piping hot! Eddie has the Philly Cheesesteak sandwich figured out! If supporting local small business is your thing or just enjoying a great sandwich with your pals in a no frills kind of way, Eddie's has you! It's just sad his taste in sports teams is so bad! But, that's okay.... nobody's perfect!

Love love this place and the people. They take a lot of pride in their craft. Best Philly I've had ever. I'll never have to travel there to get an official cheesesteak sando. Seen a lot of banter about who the best is but this is mine!

Tasty Kake Kandy Cake with coconut flakes. Only found in Philadelphia Pa and South New Jersey. Have lots of other to choose from there.

Price and quality did not match…read more I ordered the pastrami sandwich and immediately noticed some cost cutting choices, like butter flavored spray (can we use real butter) US Foods/Chef's Store sourdough bread, (can we use real sourdough bread) and a microwave sitting next to the griddle (which the griddle looks like it has not been cleaned very often). I didn't think much of it at first, but then I watched the owner heat the pastrami in the microwave before assembling the sandwich. I've never had a deli sandwich prepared that way right in front of me, and it was disappointing. She also pulled out a large bag of Taylor Farms shredded lettuce. I asked for no lettuce, and she joked that "people don't want lettuce anymore." Given the recent news surrounding Taylor Farms, that comment didn't exactly inspire confidence. What really surprised me was that the pastrami was placed in a plastic basket and microwaved. Whether or not it's considered safe, seeing food heated that way wasn't very appetizing. Looking around, there also didn't appear to be any real kitchen equipment for preparing hot sandwiches beyond a microwave. A Blackstone griddle or even a quality countertop oven would have inspired much more confidence in the food, especially considering the owner's Yelp responses emphasizing the quality of their sandwiches. From what I experienced, the preparation didn't match those claims. In the end, we ordered just one pastrami sandwich and one beer, and the total came to about $25, with the sandwich alone costing over $17. For that price, I expected much better ingredients and preparation. Unfortunately, the quality didn't match the cost. We tried to be as nice as possible but we left feeling pretty disappointed and couldn't wait to get out of there.

We both got combo meals with fries + a drink and the shoestring fries were perfectly seasoned and crispy. Our oldest son got the shrimp and chips and our two younger boys split the kids chicken tenders and fries. The portions were so generous they couldn't even finish everything. The food was amazing, but what really stood out was the customer service. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They made us feel like regulars even though it was our very first visit. Disappointing Experience -- Patio Smoking Makes Dining Unpleasant…read moreI visited Lee's Sandwiches on Warner Road today and was very disappointed by the conditions outside and inside the restaurant. A group of men regularly sit on the patio playing cards for money and smoking heavily. The smoke becomes so thick that it's nearly impossible to enjoy sitting outside. Even worse, the cigarette smoke drifts into the restaurant, making it uncomfortable to sit and eat indoors as well. Customers shouldn't have to choose between breathing cigarette smoke outside or being exposed to it inside while trying to enjoy a meal. I hope management will address this situation. The patio should be a place where customers can comfortably sit and eat, and cigarette smoke shouldn't be making its way into the dining area. I'd appreciate seeing management take this concern seriously. Several reviews mention that men often smoke heavily outside the entrance and in the outdoor seating area. Some reviewers also note that the outdoor area can get crowded with men playing cards and smoking on a daily basis. We had to leave and eat our food elsewhere. Food was fine, fresh sandwiches, tasty.
