Being new to the area and out of warranty, my wife found MPAuto Repair on Google with incredible reviews. Hao, and company diagnosed the problems and provided an estimate which equals about three car payments on a new vehicle but a lot cheaper than a dealer would charge. We swallowed hard but decided to move forward with the repair and they completed the work quickly and efficiently. Their positive friendly aporoach to everything was really refreshing! When I went to pick it up, they asked me to come out in the shop to show me the parts that failed and were replaced. Definitely not a fancy operation but they've earned my business, five stars and referrals!

Other times they were a fraction what the dealership wanted. 2. Fast. 3. Nice. It's genuine. These are kind hearted good people. They are not putting on a face for the customer like some dealerships. Im old. I can tell the difference. 4. Excellent mechanics. This is most important of course but they know their business inside out. Im not a good mechanic myself but do enough of my own work to recognize excellence and competence in others. 5. Some might complain about the less than fancy location but that's one thing keeping their overhead low. I literally could not have come up with a better place to get my car fixed if I thought about it all day and asked God for help.

Then I remember the Christian Brotther that is located in Green oaks Blvd dow the street from my house , I arrived ther near closing time and they were really nice but didn't have the time to do me the service at that moment but they ask me if I could leave my part with them , and one of their tachs would take care of the issue for my first thing in the morning . They open at 7Am and I went back to their shop around 7:10 am and sure enough full staff there already super friendly people and they recognize me from the night before and I was offer a cup of coffee and had a 5min conversation with the front desk Holly supper friendly and kind , the next thing I know one if the techs was out at front with my part and in addition of their fast service they wave their fee which it was not much to begin with , I thought that was super nice I am not saying that they will waive other fees for you but to me it meant a lot very greatfull of their kindness. Like I said before I do most of my car repairs if is regular maintenance, but if I am in the need of a major repair they will be first on my list they have gain a custu.mer for sure Raul torres

I want to share my experience with Christian Brothers Auto. On July 29,2025 I brought my car into…read moretheir shop because it was leaking Anti-Freeze and overheating. They charged me $92.36 for a diagnostic and then diagnosed that my water pump had gone bad. They quoted me a repair estimate of $6,595.66 (I am pulling this info directly off there invoice #3343488) This included Labor costs of $2472.98, Parts Cost of $3759.21, miscellaneous fees of $49.27 and taxes of $314.20 - The break down was as follows: Water Pump replacement Labor Cost $1925.00 Universal Coolant $49.90 Engine Valve Cover Gasket $171.48 Stock Engine Timing Chain W/Water Pump $707.71 Gear - Camshaft Drive $766.70 Gear - Camshaft Drive $ 888.18 Bolt $46.24 Bolt $48.50 Not sure why they have the same part listed twice with different prices on the 2nd listing Tensioner - Timing Chair$ 260.00 Seal Assay - Crankshaft oil - Front $39.15 All the above is for a Grand Total of $5,148.53 Thermostat Replacement Thermostat R&R $254.99 Universal Coolant $24.95 Thermostat Assembly Engine Coolant Thermostat housing assembly $416.75 Tax $36.44 Total Cost $733.14 They did initially have a note on there for BG Cooling System Service Labor $143.99 Coolant Service Kit $26.49 Universal Coolant 50/50 $24.95 Tax $4.24 Total $199.67 Per Them I also had a bad battery in the car that they wanted to replace for a total cost of $292.66 I laid all the above out because I have multiple issues here. The First being the insanely high cost of the repairs, for what there charging me they might as well have dropped a new engine into the Vehicle. I did get multiple estimates from other repair shops after talking to Christian Brothers Automotive and the Average estimate for both the Water Pump and Timing Chain was around $2600 What I eventually ended up doing was going to a shop called Al's Auto Repair shop in Dallas and they changed me a Total Repair cost of $1730.00 - This was just to replace the water pump, they did quote for both the water pump and timing chain and it would have brought the total cost up to around $2600 dollars. This brings me to my 2nd issue - Differentiating between what absolutely needed to be done as opposed to what is a good idea to do. I understand the logic of replacing the Timing Chain and Thermostat while you're in there, and Christian Brothers was not the only shop that advised me to do both, the problem that I have with Christian Auto Brothers is that they are charging me literally twice as much as any other reputable shop out there. I even talked to the Ford dealership and while they could not give me an exact price without doing a full diagnostic, they quoted me something around $3000 for the same work. With that in mind, I walked away feeling like Christian Auto Brothers was trying to fleece me for as much money as they could possibly get out of me. Per my previous comments I did get the water pump replaced for $1730.00, this was without all the extra miscellaneous work that Christian Auto Brothers wanted to do, and it has been fine for the last couple of months. I have been told that the mechanic that replaced the water pump without replacing the timing chain did not do me any favors, but I did have the mechanic inspect the timing chain and per him there was nothing wrong with it, again per my previous comments I did have him write me an estimate which would have brought it up to about $2600 dollars, but this was still about half of what Christian Brothers tried to charge me for work that did not need to be done The Final issue that I have with Christian Auto Brothers was them telling me the battery on my vehicle was bad. I bought that battery through Auto Zone and took it back up there after the conversation with Christian Auto Brothers and per them there was nothing wrong with the battery. Now I am not sure what the criteria that Christian auto brothers used to determine that the battery was bad, but I will say that I had not seen any evidence of a bad battery up to that point, nor have I seen any evidence since then, and since the battery was still under warranty through auto zone I am inclined to believe Auto. To balance this out they did offer to allow me to buy my own parts, which would have brought the cost down significantly, although it would also have invalidated the warranty that they offer. Even with that concession what they charged for their work was still absurdly high compared to other shops in the area. Paying for my own parts would have met that I still got to pay those absurdly high labor costs without the assurance that the work would be done correctly. The experience left a bad taste in my mouth, I felt like they charged me the $92.36 diagnostic fee to set me up and then proceeded to try and charge me a small fortune to try and replace multiple items that did not need to be replaced. Per my previous comments there was the sense that they were trying to fleece me for every cent they could get out of me.

So first off, be aware all texts and communication by your phone number are AI generated. There is no Jerry! Lol but not really. The other person who gave the review for this dealership about "lies, lies, lies," is 100% accurate! So upon arrival, hardly anyone was around to come and even greet you. If there are sales reps they are just sitting at their desk. I did see some men walking around coming in and out but we were never greeted. We noticed a couple waiting in one of the office areas. Finally, I texted that we were there and the response was, to go back inside and ask for Jerry's AI self. Even the chick that finally walked up to us, kinda had a chuckle when I said the text said to ask for Jerry. So we then ask her about the Durango and we are walked into her office. She asked us how much we were planning to put down and some of our personal information (address, etc) but we still had not heard anything about the car in question. So she takes off, takes awhile to come back and then mentioned to us sorry for taking so long but that she cannot locate that vehicle on their lot or the keys to it. We were so thrown off by this. She literally mentioned this happens a lot, not being able to locate keys to vehicles. Like huh? So then she asks if we wanted to see any other vehicles. We told her we drove all the way out (about an hour) to see that particular vehicle that Jerry's AI self texted is ready to test drive when we arrived. So we asked about another Durango that was literally parked in the front row as you pull into the dealership. She preceded to say "where?" and I even pointed telling her it's the only silver Durango out front as you walk out the front entrance doors. She said she understands but that there are a couple of them. There wasn't. Only one out front. She gave us the pricing finally on it and it wasn't in our budget. Meanwhile, she leaves to go do something and so I just wanted to find out how long the other couple had been waiting. The female mentioned a tad over an hour. I told her yeah, we were told the keys can't be located for the vehicle we were coming to see and she said they were told the same and it was a totally different car. So I ask the girl if there was a manager on site and she said yes. I asked if she could let them know we wanted to speak to them. So then she comes back with the "manager". He asks what he can help us with. I lay out all what had happened and what we were there for. So he says give him a little bit and that he's going to try and look for our vehicle. He comes back and says he tried pulling it up in the system and it wasn't found. So who the h, e, double hockey sticks is lying here!? Her, the manager, both? Anyhow I told him put yourself in our shoes. I asked him how would you like going to look at a specific vehicle you had text communication about that was an hour away with your girlfriend, wife or even by yourself? He said "or my husband". I said "ok, your husband or whomever". He said "I'm kidding". I really didn't care regardless if he was with a man. My point was over looked! I said what I said for the principle of the situation with hopes of him being relatable and making the situation not only heard but taking it in to where they make changes so it's not happening to others moving forward. Screw Clay Cooley! If I could show "zero" stars on my review, I would. Don't be suckered into giving your hard earned financials to this joke of a dealership! Also, "Am I at a club?" The playlist was unprofessional. I can get with Hip Hop music because I'm a fan of it, no doubt but to have the version of Rhiannas, Bitch better have my money playing and just like that, WOW! I just kept hearing bitch, then a guy came on that version going deeper into the obscene language and lyrics and mind you, we were also with our 11 year old son. Awful. Play than in your car or listen to it on your own time. This dealership was crazy, mad, awful. Yes. I wrote this essay intentionally. You read it (or thought of it) No regrets that we, as well as that other couple, left. Waste of time but glad we didn't give our money to them.
