I love boutique shopping. I visited Scout & Molly's at Glen Eagle in October. The salesperson was…read morewonderful, not too clingy but very helpful. I tried on a number of things and decided to buy a cami top that had a nice pattern I hadn't seen in mass retail stores. It was $121.50. Much higher than I usually spend for a simple cami (that is not silk), but I decided what the heck, yolo. I did try it on and it fit nice. It had adjustable straps so I figured it's perfect! And was lined, very nice. Good buy. I didn't go to wear the cami until a week or two later. Once i had it on with a nice jacket over top for work I noticed the adjustable straps did not stay put. They expanded by themselves to the point everything was hanging out within minutes. Not a good look for the office. I went back to the store the next day and was told 'oops sorry you're 4 days beyond the 14 day return policy. Giggle giggle, oh sorry.' I get it, how about store credit? The young ladies that day had to call the manager (I guess) who told them no, sorry, no store credit, no refund, no exchanges, nothing! Too bad. A blown $121.50 for a top I will never be able to wear. Not to mention the crappy customer service. I will never shop here again. I have a lot of money and love boutiques and I'm at Glen Eagle all the time! Never again.

After trying on about 4 outfits, she put together an outfit that was PERFECT! I couldn't have asked for more! Ladies please let me tell you anything that you are looking for: casual, ate night, business or dressy. Scout and Molly's has what you are looking for and they will help you and make you feel like a queen. I have bee in other stores and they will ask once and ignore you not in this store. No! The ladies will not bother you but make you feel comfortable to talk about what you need and how they can help and put together an outfit if you are unsure. No one in the store is there to just sell you something without you looking and loving what you purchase which means a lot!! I will definitely be back to shop since a new season is arriving and new styles are arriving! Great shopping ladies!! :))

I buy many of my favorite clothes here. Gretchen Hulse, the designer and shop owner, has been…read moredoing beautiful clothing for over a decade now, and I own pieces from the early days through last Thursday (my latest trip to her store). She does craft shows, too. Her slogan for the clothes is, "The clothes we love to live in," and it's really appropriate. There are pants, dresses, skirts, all kinds and lengths of tops and tunics, gorgeous outerwear (I bought one winter coat from her about nine years ago, and I have worn it --literally--all over the world, and it never fails to get all kinds of compliments.). Gretchen's clothes are beautiful and well-made (made in America, too), and they wear forever and ever. Her prices are fair, and when she has a sale--WOW! I have taken my sisters and my friends to her craft shows and her store, and all of them love her clothing and wear it. We love to live in Crescent Moon clothing!

Here's what I've never done until this minute: go to a crafts fair, return home, and actually call the vendor to thank and praise her. And as soon as I post this, I will go to her website and purchase the rest of my fall/winter wardrobe now that I know my size in her lineup. Sorry to sound like a crazy lady rabid fan, but have been waiting for this kind of design for a long while.

The salespeople --in particular, Lisa , went out of their way to stock a dressing room with assorted styles and sizes in the hope that something would suit me. Shortly afterwards, I walked out with a great pair of fitting shorts and a pair of jeans I tried on out of curiosity. Summary: great customer service and selection. This location has plenty of parking and lots of shopping options too.

While the offering of products and pieces is great, the staff makes the shopping experience incredibly challenging and I am becoming increasingly disenchanted with each visit. One staff member (not sure of her name) in particular has a tendency to be incredibly standoffish and unwelcoming, with the staff members seeming to be wrapped up in their own conversation for the entirety of our 15 minute stop into the Brinton Lake location, with not so much as a glance, let alone a greeting. While I've shopped at this location for years, I feel confident in the decision to leave the site and drive a distance to another location. Or, better yet, I'll just shop online. As someone who has worked in retail, it's not hard to show customers politeness and pleasantries, even in the slightest of ways. Thank you for not giving me a reason to give you undeserved commission. I won't be back.
