Horrible! Ordered something online on Aug 13. Still have not received it. Sent emails no one is answering me. But they took my money!

Also with a name like Diving Cat Studio what the store is is a bit oblique...is it a pet store? A gallery? OK, go with it. Yeah, they were spot-on. Diving Cat is a seriously eclectic, funky, new-age-y, hippie store with lots of cool jewelry, home items, art, candles, soaps, perfumes, statues, even mobiles and prisms. The store does a very good job grouping items by category - Namaste and Yoga in one area, Judacia in another, items related to cats, items related to dogs, mystical items, etc. Yeah, just my kind of place. The store has a good deal of inventory and it's not very large, but it's not uncomfortable unless it's very crowded. They even have "Honey" seats outside for partners who are waiting for the other to finish oohing and aahing. Staff were nice, unobtrusive but helpful when needed. I got some very delicious smelling perfume in a steampunk - cool flask and a badass name (OK badass for a mid-life Main Line Mom). It's in 'downtown' Phoenixville, on the same block as the Colonial Theater. Parking is street and tight, better to find a lot just off the 'main drag' and walk. You know, like in most downtown places.

I love this little store! The other day I had wall sconces on my mind but, as usual, when you're…read moreactually looking for something, it can be rather hard to find. I wanted sconces that would hold taper candles, not the electric sort that leave you having to hide the trailing cord. So I decide to run to Sweet Magnolia to replace a candle that had recently burnt out completely when, lo and behold!, there is the most gorgeous pair of gold-leafed wall sconces hanging right before my eyes! This is why I love Sweet Magnolia - you can find such elegant pieces here when you least expect it. I also appreciate that their prices don't put a huge dent in your wallet. $58 for the pair? I'll take them! The store also carries the greatest soy candles ever by Aquiesse which last a rather long time and come in several delightful fragrances. They also carry an array of other home goods - Forte teas, place settings, bath and body products, stationery, baby gifts, and jewelry. Definitely a great little shop for finding last minute gifts or a treat for yourself. I've seen similar items at other stores like Anthropologie for twice the price, so why not patronize a local entrepreneur instead?

Whenever I need a little gift for someone (or myself) I know I can find it! To top it off she's really friendly, and always up for a chat. It is really nice to be able to shop local and we are lucky we have a boutique like Sweet Magnolia in the neighborhood.

This store has a boutiquey feel to it, like women's clothing stores used to have. It feels very…read moreupscale. The prices are reasonable for name brand clothing in pristine condition. They have shoes, bags, accessories, anything a gal needs in a wide range of sizes. In other words, it's not 10 year old Missoni in size 4 masquerading as a consignment shop (and I WORSHIP Missoni). If you are larger than a 10, you will find plenty of options here. There is also a small selection of men's clothing. Juniors or women who like to think they are juniors, this store is not for you. This is a shop for women who don't mind admitting they are over the age of majority. Clothes are arranged by type and by size, so if you're looking for a jacket, there is a section for jackets, skirts, etc. I was tempted by the most buttery soft ultra suede skirt in a light purple. But then I remembered, I'm only buying black and white anymore. I didn't rate this store higher because the sales clerk (who I know is not the owner) did not greet me or make any effort to engage me when I came into the store. In fact, it felt like she was avoiding me. When customers walk into a store, it's customary to say "hello, are you looking for something special"? Don't walk behind the counter as though I'm not there. I wasn't even rockin' the nose ring; but I'm not inclined to return when there are so many other options. ( As an aside, I've walked into Nordy's looking like crap on a tray and I've still gotten stellar customer service). Anyway, this store has very nice clothing and excellent prices, they also take plastic. Don't know what the return policy is, cause, well you know...I hope you have a better experience. 03/29/2011 I never mentioned children's clothing in this review. If you looked at my profile and reviews, you would know that I am not spamming. I write about my encounter with a business, which in this case was a departure from what I experienced from local consignment shops. It should also be noted that my review was complimentary of the store in general and the merchandise.

I just happened to see the big consignment sign near the street on Lancaster Ave as I was driving by and I made a "U" turn. I didn't know it was Charmingly Linda's, but I'm glad I found it again. This is a nice store. It is not glamorous (though I think they are trying). The clothes are down to earth clothing, not much stuff for the younger crowd. Mostly they stock women's clothing, shoes, bags, accessories. They have a very small men's department. When I was there they had a huge selection of Vera Bradley bags. It is hit or miss. One thing many may not know is that Linda's husband sells things on E-bay. With the population aging, there are more and more people who need this service. I will go back from time to time cause I like to see what's there. I've gotten slacks, tops and a raincoat in the past. Best of luck thrifting.
