Yes, car dealerships can be tough, but these guys are the bottom of the barrel. Sold me a new 2019 RDX covered in scratches. After 3 months in 2 different body shops, my car is still covered in scratches in the clear coat, and the dealership now refuses to fix the issue, and won't exchange the car for a new unblemished car. My experience with Chris, Matt and Wade.....they are very good scam artist!!!! They mislead you!!!! I personally DO NOT RECOMMEND! I walked in with a capital one preapproved letter and my credit was still ran with 6 different lenders!? Why!! I specifically said I had the capital one offer. Then I was offered extended warranty we agreed on a "deal" to find out that me accepting that extended warranty wasn't really a "deal" but an extra $3500.00. Since they "couldn't" lower the price of the truck the deal was to extend the warranty from 7-9 years. Once i agreed to the purchase I was sent to Chris the finance guy. He is very astute. He has a nice television in his office playing a movie, distracts you with how YouTube tv is better than XFINITY and of course we fell right into it. While signing the contract he made sure he asked me questions as a distraction. He's a good scam artist! I questioned the $3500 and he brushed off the question. I was sent home "conveniently" without a contract. We asked if all the paperwork was there and he said yes. Nope!! Arrived home to review everything and surprise surprise no contract. They sure played me!! They are dishonest human beings!! I went back the next day and Chris and Wade were off. The finance director Maurius spoke to me and gave Chris the benefit of the doubt that there was a misunderstanding! So here I go AGAIN the next day. This dealership doesn't deserve even one star for its customer service. I got the worst experience ever. The sales man (Marco spelling might be wrong) who was taking care of us was extremely rude and unprofessional. The horrible attitude that was displayed by the staff was the deciding factor of me not getting the car. Upon request to speak with the sales manager I was denied and Nizar Assria did not even have the decency to come and speak with the customer and attempt to dissolve the situation. If you wish to be received as a human being and expect respect from the staff I would highly suggest avoiding this dealership. I wish I could provide a better review for this dealership as I came from this industry and the salesperson I had was so kind, but this dealership will low ball the crap out of your trade while also giving you the wrong amount because they mixed my car up with another of the same make....even with how the market is going. The car I was looking at is a model that I have wanted ever since it came out as I am an Acura Lover. The one they have in stock was misrepresented online with Advanced pkg features such as ventilated front seats. I was told the used car mgr would remove it. He did, but it is actually listed in 2 areas of the vehicle description - along with many 3rd party car search engines. Not saying where as it's not my responsibility as a consumer to point these things out. The car also had many minor and slightly major imperfections that of course did not show in the pictures such as rusted/corroded rear rotors. When I question this to the sales mgr, he said "well it rained yesterday." I said at night? Because I was at the dealership around 8pm the night before and even test drove the car...for 45 minutes. It was not raining and even if it had, the rust would not have been bad at all. This was thick rust/corrosion on the rear rotors and they clearly needed to be replaced. They will come up with any excuse to sell a car while not only lying to the customer to get them in the doors to justifying expensive repairs to the car. They are not willing to lower price to reflect high mileage, amount of owners, an accident that clearly had not been repaired and not budging on trade in value. Luckily there are quite a bit of pre-owned Acura's out there so there is always somewhere more honest and eager to make a sale the proper and professional way. To top it off, they lowered the price by $5. If that isn't a slap in the face, then I don't know what is! Like I said, I truly don't like to review on dealerships as I came from this industry and reviews are so important. However, it is also important that consumers know what to expect when visiting. **Update** The price is now lowered, but my trust in this dealership is out the window. Also, I never even received a call from my salesperson or the sales manager regarding the price change. Had my experience been better and they admitted their pricing error, I might not have walked. They must not have wanted to make a sale because it was only the 1st of the month and didn't feel the pressure to reach quota yet. BEWARE of this DEALERSHIP!!! perhaps the WORST Acura dealership in Chicagoland. i went to purchase a 2020 RDX and the salesman baited me with $10,000 off. when i made up my mind to absolutely purchase the car, the figures - that were presented in a very unclear fashion to deliberately confuse the customer - had at least $6,000 in unnecessary add-ons, including a $1000 in "processing fee." the salesman was not ready to let me go even though I requested at least 5 times that he's just wasting both our times as the inflated figures he provided will not work. the salesman was unwilling to give me the keys of my trade-in, so I was literally at the mercy of the dealership. the 6th or the 7th time, the salesman redundantly went to his manager to "work" on the figures and the manager shouted at the top of his lungs to salesman & i. I'm surprised that the manager & salesman duo didn't kill me for rejecting their offer. needless to say; i left the dealership right at that second without turning back. i went straight to another dealership and actually bought the car. the other dealership did offer a similar price, but the salesman was a gem and did not play games even for a moment. read more

We tracked down Ted Saras, he used to work for Woodfield Acura and we wanted to know if he could provide another great deal as we purchased our first Acura in 2007. Ted has excellent customer service and integrity, he's far from the stereotypical sales consultant. Just as we thought, Ted was able to beat the lowest offers that we received. The drive from Skokie was well worth it as Ted's service and deal was excellent. We will purchase our third Acura from Ted. Nalpelton's gain is clearly Woodfield's loss. Note: Do not make a trip to a dealership if they can't provide their offer in writing, in other words, "We'll give you the best deal" or "I'll beat your best offer" is not enough. Have them actually provide a dollar amount, along with Documentation fee, Tax, Title transfer, license plate cost and destination fee. Ted is a rock star. read more

What an experience. I came here for a car I saw on CarGurus. I had just got in an accident the weekend before and really needed a car and was super excited to find a car I loved for a good price. My salesman Victor was super friendly and helpful and helped me out with insurance and everything. The finance guy was a little bit of an issue though. I went home the next day and looked over my paperwork and noticed numbers were off and there was papers missing. I came back in and the sales manager and a different finance person were more than willing to fix it and redo my contract correctly. It would've been nice to not have that whole issue happen but the fact they were willing to make it right is why I'm still giving 4 stars read more

My wife and I had a great experience with Napleton Acura. After seeing a car online, I called to confirm it was still available. I then made an appointment with Patricia O'Brien to see it the following day and drove up from Tennessee (we're originally from Chicago). We meet with Firas Syriani who was extremely helpful with pointing out details and options the vehicle had. During the test drive he even gave us directions of how to get to the highway and taking surface streets. This was very helpful since we were from out of state. After the test drive, we went over the numbers. The out the door price with taxes, fees, etc, was a little more than we were looking to pay. We thanked him for his time, but then Firas asked us what our bottom line out the door price would need to be. After telling him, he went to talk to his General Sales Manager Ken Montijo. Ken came out and said that it might be doable, but that they were checking with Tennessee to confirm the sales tax they needed to be collecting (totally understandable). After a while they figure out the sales tax and confirmed that they could do that bottom line out the door price and then we were off to see the Finance Manager, Darius Shams, to discuss financing. Darius explained the different financing options for us and helped us pick the right one for our needs. Overall we love our new car and would definetly make the trip again the next time we are in the market for another vehicle. In the meantime, we'll be recommending this dealership to all of our friends in the Chicagoland area! read more

We purchased a 2021 Acura TLX in Oct. of '21. From day 1, something was "off" with this car. We knew it had been used by the staff and as a loaner, but the first red flag was trying to set-up Acura Link. It was a "new car" and we were the "first owner", however, Acura Link had already been set-up, therefore we did not get the "intro free trial". After pushing the issue, the dealership did reimburse us for Acura Link "trial" that should have been free. However, the vehicle was brought in several times for issues and they would re-set the sensors and give it back. It ended up having the transmission replaced and was probably in there 4-5 times over the course of 2 months. After 3 times of pushing to get the blind spot indicators fixed or replaced, when they went to finally replace them the issue was that they weren't fully plugged in, which is why they would work one minute, but not the next. And do not try to call the dealership... you will get the run-around & voicemail every time.... including being told to ask for an employee to help us who didn't even work there anymore! Lesson learned ... do your research on the dealership, not just the car you're looking to purchase. I would NOT recommend Napleton to anyone for any car purchase. read more

I'm really surprised by the reviews here! I bought a car from Ed Napleton yesterday and don't think I'll ever buy a car elsewhere. Gustavo was attentive, honest and helpful from the beginning. We went to SIX DEALERS and by the time I came in, I was super up front about my expectations. He was so transparent and gave me exactly what I was looking for. I personally find the Napleton package helpful, for some reason my windshield breaks often so that alone saves me so much money. We added a few upgrades and again Gustavo was super upfront and honest about the cost and advised if he felt it was worth it. After initial negotiations, we met Richie. He was such a pleasure to work with and you can tell they both are really passionate about Acura's. Anyway, I completely recommended! Best price out of six dealers, best service and the Napleton perks are nice!! read more

I don't even know where to start... but let me bullet the top few awful things about this business/place: - NO ONE WEARS. few people keep them on their chin... not even attempting to social distance, no separations, no open doors/windows, zero regulation on capacity... when we went the place was packed like a concert.... COVID19 central. - The car listing price is A LIE. Be prepared to be charged at least 30% extra in questionable fees - no one can comprehensively explain what those fees actually are.. there isn't a price breakdown or written rule that you "have to pay this amount for x,y,z" - you get abandoned FOR HOURS waiting on the paperwork (literally sat there for 3 hours with no explanation of what was going on...) - prepare to get FOUR HARD INQUIRIES on your credit. Even if you come with a pre-approved loan with your own bank. They essentially WITHOUT CONSENT financed through their company and then re-sold my loan to my bank?..still trying to identify what they did... this sort of blends into the next point... - as soon as you leave the dealership be prepared to be put on an "all calls declined" list. I keep calling and at best get hung up on. Over and over and over again... Bottom line - save your time and money and visit literally any dealer but these scammers. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! You will regret it! They simply do not care about you as a customer. It is easy to "say you care", but the real test is in the actions. Will they have your back? Will they make a wrong right? Will they do the right thing to fix one of their mistakes to do a customer right? The answer is "NO"! I had recently leased a car and either one of two things took place... the salesman either didn't know his product or was bold faced lying to get me to sign on the dotted line. I'm leaning towards the later. Either way, my wife wound up with a car that didn't have what was promised. A determining factor in the sale and a conversation that was had multiple times before signing to ensure it was included. "Yup, yup, yup, no problem." He even strung me along after the sale, saying "oh, it's not working? Just bring it in to service and they will fix it". Service informed me it was not included in this model/year. Never has been and isn't available in this car until 2019. Their tactic in dealing with this, give you new person "that doesn't know the deal". In fact, he didn't even work for Acura! Sales manager Conor (who personally handled the lease deal) responded via another employee (didn't both calling me back) that "I could go buy some aftermarket products to take car of it". I never got a call from Conor! I called back asking for the general manager for Ed Napleton Acura. Was given, John, who is head of sales at KIA. John jerked me around for a week or two, and stopped returning my phone calls. Finally got him on the phone again, but only after asking for the general manager again. He pretended not to have missed any calls from me, or have had any idea that I was trying to get a hold of him DAILY. John, informed me that he had been working with the General Manager of Acura, all along and that there wasn't anything they could do or would be willing to do other than sell me a more expensive car making me pay more for the features I was told were included in the one I leased. When I asked if he spoke to Connor or Wilson about what they promised in the sale, they FLAT OUT DENIED EVER TELLING ME THAT! Complete and utterly dishonest people! The whole process seemed like a page out of the Ed Napleton How to Handle a Customer You've Lied To Playbook. They truly could care less at the end of the day and invested no more than a few phone calls into the matter with empty promises about "getting this taken care of". A verbal agreement is the same as a written agreement. Both can be upheld by the law. But their shady slimeball approach was to simply lie and deny. Going to be difficult to deny the phone call I made to Acura, sitting in my driveway trying to have Acura tech support help me figure out why the Android Auto that Wilson and Connor told me was in the car wasn't working. Also, going to be difficult to deny that I called Google (creators of Android Auto) and had them try and troubleshoot the problem as well. Do you really want to do business with people like this? Do yourself a favor, and buy from McGrath or one of the other dealers around. This place is full of shady slimey car salesmen that will say whatever to get you in a vehicle. Avoid this Dealer at all costs. I went in following a lead from the Costco Auto Program, which was highly recommended to me, and then they immediately refused to even discuss the program. Said they could give me a better price, but wouldn't actually give me any 'pre-negotiated' price through the program. On top of that I was there to see a used 2019 RDX, which was being serviced so they put me in a 'New' 2020 as a test drive, but then only tried to sell me on the 'New' vehicle. I didn't want a new car, and the car they were selling new already had 4500 miles on it, which is not new. Any attempts to discuss either the vehicle I was originally interested in or the Costco Auto Program were completely ignored until I pushed hard, which is when they said the certification and experience costs were required and would have put the used car $5k more expensive than listed. I am not one to usually leave bad reviews but I don't want what just happened to me to happened to anyone else so in light of that, here it goes: I met with Kristen Montijo yesterday to look at a used Toyota Rav4. Kristen was great and very friendly and I enjoyed working with her very much. We took the car for a test drive and then sat down to talk about numbers. I wasn't quite ready to go home with the car that night, so I asked Kristen if there was anything we could do to put a "hold" on the car for 24 hours. She ensured me that this was something they could do and that they do all the time. Kristen told me that if I put a $500 deposit down, it would prevent the car from being sold to anyone over the next 24 hours. I paid the $500 and we negotiated the price of the vehicle. We agreed that I would return the next day to either purchase or pass on the car. I had 1 other vehicle at a different dealership I was going to check out and then I would make the decision. So I go home, very excited about the possibility of getting this new car, feeling good knowing that it wouldn't be sold out from under me in the next 24 hours. I had just had an apartment sold out from under me the day prior (which I told Kristen) so knowing the deposit would prevent that from happening again gave me much peace of mind. Our appointment with Kristen was on July 25, 2017 at 7:15pm. On July 26, 2017 at 2:33pm I received a text from Kristen stating "Hey there... sorry to report but earlier this morning someone came in with a better offer on the RAV4 an my manager took the deal. So sorry. I'm not at work at the moment I can have someone refund your deposit." ........... To say I am furious is an understatement. I called the dealership immediately where I spoke with GM Benjamin Jacobs. I told Ben what happened and he told me that the deposit only secures the price for 24 hours it does not prevent the car from being sold. This was the exact opposite of what Kristen ASSURED me on multiple occasions. The whole point of me putting a deposit down was to ensure the car wouldn't be sold the next day. While I do not believe it was Kristen's intention to lie to me, she did regardless. Multiple times. Ben then tried to "make good" by offering to sell me other cars that were also not in my price range nor were they the car I wanted and had put a deposit down on. I then called Kristen to get her side of the story and while she was very apologetic, did little to help me understand how this possibly could have happened. She stated that she received a text from her manager that morning asking her where the keys were for the Toyota Rav4 (the car I was going to buy) were. At this point, Kristen should have either 1 - told the manager it was on hold for her client (me) or 2 - called me immediately to let me know what was going on. I was so excited to get this car, we had a contract drawn up, I had a deposit down, everything was going very smoothly and yet here I am, writing a scathing review because I was lied to. I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. As someone who doesn't a big budget to spend on a car, I was so excited to finally find a car that met my criteria and that I could afford. I feel completely taken advantage and am very upset. We will be seeking legal action. read more

Not impressed. They basically list vehicles on their site as certified. When you get there, they will not call them certified. They call them certifiable. This means that they have gone through the certification process but if you want to purchase the vehicle as certified it will be an additional $2500 fee. Hmmm. They really fight to keep this fee on there, saying that it costs them money to certify the vehicles. Hmmm. Very deceptive practice. They also add on a fee for $1400 that is some sort of maintenance fee. It apparently covers interior, glass chips, a few oil changes and some other items. Might be a good deal, not sure. The problem is that they don't offer this to you as an extra, they force you to pay it. Meaning that you cannot decline it. Meaning if you want to buy a car from them you must agree to pay this nonsense fee. Hmmm. So here is the kicker...,,They flat out refuse to remove this fee. They may negotiate a little on the certified fee, but this maintenance fee they will not remove. There were a few other hefty bs fees as well. Overall about $5000 in extra fees that were really for nothing except to line their pockets. I don't know, i guess some people must pay them but seems shady to me. It also makes it difficult for a potential buyer to negotiate down the price. They start out so incredibly high by padding the price with fees, that even if they agree to reduce or remove a few, you are still starting higher than you should. It is these types of sub par business practices that make people distrust car dealerships and detest the car buying experience. It is shameful that this still goes on. It doesn't have to be this way. They let me walk without buying a car (and I wanted to make a purchase), simply because I refused to pay these extra fees. I would think they would back off, but these guys just dug in their heels and let me go. That just shows you that they know exactly what they are doing and have thought out very carefully how they will deal with customers who don't agree to bs fees. My review is very similar to previous 1-Star Ratings. My initial impressions of the dealership were positive: professional salesperson, spotless showroom, and the vehicle I was interested in was beautifully detailed and appeared exactly as described on their website. Before I dump on them, I have to state as a cash buyer - I do not know how they deal with people looking to finance their purchase. However, I can take a pretty good guess. After looking over the vehicle and taking it for a spin I was very enthusiastic. I thought to myself, "I have no problem giving them their asking price and getting out of here with an additional $2,000 or so in taxes and fees. Both sides of the deal will be happy with the ease and results of the transaction." Then the salesperson "ran the numbers". He came back with a total of approximately $30,800 for a vehicle sticker'd at $22,997. HUH?!? This total included approximately $1,400 for a dent and windshield protection plan and the BIG DOG - $3,900 for a "Used Car Dealer Inspection Fee". Yeah...seriously. I was shocked. At this point I was pretty much done. I told the salesperson I was not interested in the protection plan. The only thing I could come up with for such a crazy inspection fee at the time was some sort of requirement for an Illinois lemon law (I'm from Indiana). After some research I can tell you, it is not. The salesperson took the amount I was willing to spend to the decision maker and came back with their minimum to get the vehicle off the lot, $27,000. Still $4,000 over their initial asking price. I would imagine they make off pretty well sticking these fees to customers who are uncomfortable asking questions or unprepared to walk away from a deal. If you're still determined to shop at Ed Napleton Acura after reading all of these horrible reviews, I'd recommend you be prepared to do both of these things. Good Luck! read more

I wanted to tell you my story and gave some helpful hints. When a dealer advertises a price online sometimes it is just to get you in the door. They never had the intent to sell you the car at this price. The will literally screw you over in some other way. The problem is actually getting worse as dealers try their best to undercut each others' prices. Perhaps most concerning is people believing the prices they see online are credible and the gospel. Bait and Switch Tactics Since a car dealer ever ran the first newspaper ad, there have been bait and switch tactics going on. Not all car dealers do this, but all the shady ones do. By definition, a bait and switch is when a dealer publicly prices a car with no intention of selling it for that price. As newspaper advertising has been on the decline for car dealers, most are turning to the internet to continue to mislead people. Unfortunately, many people believe that everything on the internet is true. Oh sure, there are laws against this sort of practice, but in most states, the practice is so rampant that regulators cannot begin to enforce the laws on the books. We have seen more enforcement action from the Federal Trade Commission lately, but there is no way they can get to every dealer's website, and frankly, some dealers are willing to pay a fine rather than advertise ethically. Most Common Bait and Switch The most common bait and switch involves pricing cars way below dealer cost. The dealer designates one particular stock number or VIN at that price, and once the vehicle is sold - whether at that price or not - none of the other vehicles on the lot can be purchased for that price. The salespeople at places like this are trained to waltz you around the lot, finally declaring that the advertised vehicle "must have been sold already" and then finding a similar one, vowing to "get as close to that ad price as possible". Let the games begin. New Online Trend Recently, a dealer affiliate of the radio show alerted me to the newest trend online. One of his Chevy competitors was advertising prices with every factory rebate available, even private offers for which most people cannot qualify for. These days, many automakers offer extra rebates for our military people for instance. This dealer was using GM private mail offers ($2000 in some cases), military discounts, and other offers like an extra rebate for credit union members or Costco cardholders. Over 99% of the people who walk into the dealership will not qualify for all or perhaps any of those rebates. Worse, this particular dealer doesn't spring this news on you until you have gone through the entire process of buying a car. While in the finance office, some hours later, you get the bad news. Sadly, too many people are worn out and they just wave the white flag. Another successful bait and switch, and another bad dealer rewarded for unethical behavior. You will see what appears to be a great price and the words "any and all rebates applied". Major red flag there. A good dealer will break out how it arrived at the price advertised. For instance, MSRP $30,988 minus $3000 factory rebate, minus $2500 dealer discount-Sale Price $25,488. Then you might see $24,488 with Ford Credit financing. That is the right way to do it. Buried Charges One dealer I ran across was pricing cars online and buried in the website, on a different page were the words "all prices plus freight charges". REALLY? I have seen some shady stuff over the years, but this was really bad. Freight charges are built into the dealers' cost. In another instance, a dealer quotes a low-ball price and you see: price does not include dealer-installed options. That means they can charge you thousands of dollars over their Internet price for floor mats, window tinting, and wheel locks that cost the dealership about $200. I have heard stories of people shopping dealers outside their area, sometimes driving for hours, even flying to an out-of-state location, only to find out they were somehow misled and cannot get the price they saw online. By now, they are tired and often have no way to get home, so the negotiation games start. They don't want to start over again, so they give in and pay more than they could have gotten the same car for at their local dealer. Here is the sad thing... many times people see these fraudulent prices online and take them to a good, honest dealership who tries to explain why it cannot match the price. Of course, the good dealer looks like a bad guy and probably misses out on a sale, while the consumer falls for the bait and switch at a different dealership. I urge you not to reward the bad dealers with your hard-earned money. At the first sign of a bait and switch, leave. Then tell your friends. I've had mixed luck with Napleton Acura. I purchased a new Acura in 2010 and traded in my old vehicle. I had done a lot of research and new what price I wanted to pay. Ted from Internet Sales gave me the best price around. First, when I was test driving, the Sales guy and Finance Manager (who happened to be there) were pushing me to purchase a loaded, certified used vehicle which actually costed more than new one. Not to mention the mileage on both used vehicles had more than they had initially told me. Also, the Finance Manager wanted the keys to my old car right away - which really irritated me. So, we move on to new vehicles and in the middle we stop, my salesman was unsure if they had the color combo I wanted or that they could get it in a reasonable amount of time. Turns out they couldn't, they'd have to order it and it could have taken 2 months to come in. So they ask me if I'd take a black one - which I had already told him I had no interest in a black car (detailing black car in Chicago winters are hell), then they offer the showroom model, which had 0 miles. So we get back to the deal and the Sales Manager did not want to meet the internet pricing. After going back and forth, we had a deal. This mind you was the 2 hour mark. Now to the trade in. First, they thought I was stupid, then they thought I was stupid. I had print outs from Kelly Black Book and a purchase certificate from CarMax and they thought I'd take just what I owed on it. How'd they know what I owed? Well I guess if you have a Honda Finance loan, they can look you up. I told them I would walk and sell outright and they finally met me at a reasonable price. The financing was terrible. The Finance Manager was high pressure, bs'ing and reminded me of someone that had no business financing luxury vehicles. This took another 1.5 hours. Mind you, I understand finance, the terms and everything else - this timing was all due to his sales tactics and time wasting to see how long it'd take me to give in. At the 4.5 hour mark, my car was finally ready. The salesman spent a good 30 minutes with me showing me the car and it's features which was very nice. I had to take the car back two days later to get an add-on installed and that went fine. After the sale, I decided I did not want their warranty. This was a horrendous experience to cancel (within the waiting period) and get my money back. The finance manager would not call me back and when I went in person, he was a complete jerk and would not give me a copy of the paperwork. Then a month later, it still had not been processed and the paperwork was no where to be found. I then went to the GM and about two weeks later I had my money back and the warranty was cancelled. I even got the run around from the GM until threatening to get the BBB and State Attny General involved. Since then I've had mixed luck with the service department as well. I totally forgot about all the free oil change coupons and apparently even if you buy a car from Napleton, their service department will charge you if you don't have the coupon. The guys that work in the service department can be nice, but I've had my issues. One time I booked my appointment online and when I got there the one guy couldn't find the appointment. They he complained that he had been soo busy all day and hadn't even had time for lunch. My next obvious question was - can you do the oil change or not? Then he made me wait about 15 minutes before the other service guy came out and got the paperwork started and then my oil change. I have a dealer installed accessory and have nothing but constant issues with it. I've brought it in several times and still to this day it does not work right. It's aggravating because I don't have time to keep running back to the dealership. I've since paid off my car and had to cancel my gap insurance. I tried to do this one day while getting the above mentioned oil change. Firstly, no one working tin he entire Acura side would help me. So then, I walked over to the Kia side and they sent me back to the Acura side. Then, I find someone that tells me I need the Finance Manager (duh) and I find him and a salesman takes a new buyer in there and walks right in front of me, cutting me off. I then waited 90 minutes to talk to this guy. After that, I tried to get confirmation that the paperwork had been processed at the dealership (see the above warranty cxl issue) and I got a snotty email back. Overall, I've had better experience with other dealerships in the area. Once my oil change coupons run out I will not be going back. The service level is not that great and definitely nothing close to what I would have expected from an Acura dealership. Although I love my car, this was the worst car buying experience I've ever had and the worst follow-up service I've ever had with a dealership. read more

They had my car for almost 2-3 weeks, it was suppose to have repairs done to it and they never did anything until the service manager finally reached out to me about it and was only notified that it had been there for only a 1-2 days. He's are quick story of these "Certified" vehicles Ed Napleton Acura claims to be selling. I recently got out of the Marine Corps and was going to buy my first car in over 5 years. I came into the dealership on Saturday to view a 2016 MDX. I test drove one vehicle and it wasn't what I was looking for. The salesman, Paul, told me there was another MDX(Stock number PPP8794) that just came in and it currently being "certified" and inspected for safety. The certification includes a 182 point Inspection Checklist. The car was going to be available Monday. I checked the car out externally and was instantly interested. We began to negotiate the price, and this is where the problems began. We split over 1,000 dollars and so I went home. On Monday I called Joe (Sales Manager) to see if we can work the price out. He insisted that nothing can be done, and the phone call ended. A few moments later he had Paul call and say Joe "likes" me and can take another 200 dollars off so the price of the vehicle out the door went down to $30,800. I decided to come into the dealership to check out the vehicle once again and test drive it. I arrived at the dealership and started examining the car again. I walked around the vehicle and noticed a few imperfections (its normal, I'm buying a used car) but then I noticed a big bump on the front right tire wall. This immediately bothered me since Joe and Paul both swore up and down that the vehicle is safety inspected an "certified" which includes brand new tires! I took the vehicle for a test drive and instantly had to fight the steering wheel to keep the car straight. Looking at the steering wheel it cocked to the left. According to Paul the road was uneven. So, we went on a perfectly flat road and I let go of the steering wheel and we almost ended up in a ditch! We got back to the dealer and Paul still claimed it was the road since the vehicle passed their "certification". As he said" the machine doesn't lie". Well clearly there's something wrong if the car isn't driving straight right? Maybe I'm crazy? I demanded to have the technician to drive the vehicle with me sitting next to him so he can see for himself. We began going back and forth with Paul (with customers present) with Paul arguing that "the technician doesn't have time because he isn't getting paid for that." Last time I checked he certified the vehicle to be safe and did the work on it so it is his job; but what do I know. I asked to speak to Joe and Paul left to get him. He ended up coming back with Roger, the Service Manager, and we agreed for him to drive the car. We got in the vehicle and drove for less than 10 seconds when Roger agreed and said, "I don't need to drive any further, the alignment is off". They took the car to the shop and "fixed" the alignment and we went on another test drive. The vehicle still pulled to the right. At that point I told them I will not be taking this vehicle and I hope they do not sell this car advertising its certified and fully safety checked since this is clearly a vehicle that should NOT be on the road. They offered to let me drive a 2019 MDX to see if there is a difference. We drove the new vehicle which was perfect. No pulling to the right. Steering was straight when I let go of the steering wheel. We got back to the store and was told there's nothing else they can do. Don't get me wrong, they tried their best to sell me a car. But that's it! I don't just want to buy a car, I want to buy a car that I can drive off the lot and not crash into a barrier or end up in a ditch. Whoever certifies these cars needs to either get retrained or fired! This is absolutely unacceptable. Customers pay extra for vehicles who are certified because it gives them the peace of mind! Safety should NEVER be jeopardized because you want to sell the car! I would stay far, far away from Napelton Acura and Kia. They could care less about your safety as long as they sell a car. The service department customer service is horrible and leaves a lot to be desired. I recently took my car to Ed Napleton Acura and received the worst customer service from the service department. The Rebecca assisted me was very condescending and rude when she spoke to me. While testing the USB in my car and she was sitting in the front passenger seat, she thought it ok to place her knees in the seat and lean through my car window, and yell for the technician to come and assist, clearly not professional! Secondly the everyone seem bothered that the USB was showing an error in the system diagnostics. When Rebecca finally came to get me to tell me what the issues was she rudely explained to me when I asked about the part not being available that day, "We don't keep all of the parts for every car in the shop!". She then took my paper work rudely shammed it on the desk in the service department and told me to sign. Handed me my keys and moved on to doing something in the computer. She did not tell me where the car was located on the lot and/or discuss next steps for the repair. I happened to see the salesman I bought my car from in the dealership and I spoke with him, he informed me that he would ask the service manager Jose to call me to discuss the issue, needless to say six days later I'm still waiting for a call about the USB replacement and one from the manger about my experience with Rebecca. This is a review for leasing a new car here. I've been to a handful of Acura dealerships and as far as the new car experience goes, it was really good. I had dealt with Patricia online, who was very courteous and helpful, and then with their salesman Connor once I arrived. I should note, I don't think any dealership will give you their best price off the bat, but after some lengthy negotiations we hit a price on a lease better than what i got from other dealerships by quite a bit. I'm sure your mileage will vary a bit here, but as long as you've done enough research, you should be good. Just watch out for the four square, a lot of dealers use them and they can be very confusing. Edmunds.com should have a writeup about them. Also, a lot of waiting around, but I think that's pretty similar to most other dealers. Anyway, Connor was awesome - very friendly, younger, funny guy. I highly recommend him. And their F&I manager, Bill, blew away every other one I've ever dealt with. Zero hard sells on extras, and just an all around nice guy. read more
