Nice big parking lot, very lovely park for walking the dogs, having a bbq with family, or hiking and birding. In the summer kids swim in the beach. I love this place for photos. Be careful of the tide. Always pick up after your pets.

Ah, Seahurst Park at sunset--a hidden gem where Burien's finest gather to watch the sun dip beyond the Olympics. Unlike the chaotic circus that is Golden Gardens, this park offers a serene escape without the volleyball bros and bonfire smoke. The beach is pristine, the trails are a workout disguised as nature walks, and the parking? Let's just say it's a test of patience. But once you're there, it's all worth it. Just keep an eye on your car; rumor has it, the local thieves appreciate a good sunset too.

Beautiful beach with gorgeous sparkling clear water. Classic PNW beach with lots of rocks. We came on a weekend and there was a snow cone vendor which was pleasant. Loved sitting in the shade in the grass and taking in the view.

This is beautiful with huge sea around. Lot of seating places and small park for kids to play . Views are stunning and it's serene place where you can sit on a woodblock and enjoy with a cup of coffee. A shelter which you can book for party for sure .

Decent park thats behind a neighborhood. My fiance and I always come here when we have to dogsit our nephew or when we just want to enjoy a beautiful sunset to start/end our night. Dogs are allowed here but they are to stay on a leash. However, I do see dogs let loose so they can swim and play with their owners. Some people mind and some dont so be mindful of your surroundings. The entrance closes/locks at dusk, but sometimes they will put a sign saying a specific time they will close. There is parking available right in front of the beach front but its small so I always recommend when entering, take the first parking lot you see on the left as there is a ton of availability. Difference is a walk downhill to the park but a walk uphill to leave. It isnt too steep of a hill but I would keep this in mind if this is may be a bother to you.

I came here based on recommendation and to go during low tide. I didn't realize I went during on of the year's lowest tides! The park is not hard to find. There is an upper and lower parking lot. There's plenty of parking, but you're better off parking in the upper lot and walking down. It's a short walk. The beach here is so nice. It's nice scenic beach with drift wood, peddles, and sand once was the tides are low. There were so many sea creatures! This was the first time I saw a starfish in the wild and it was super memorable. Reminder to be gentle, touch with one finger, and never take anything out from the beach besides trash. There was so much to see it was overwhelming. I highly recommend coming here.

Seahurst Park is a popular and beautiful park right along the shore. There are plenty of places for picnics, playgrounds, or just taking a stroll and enjoying the beautiful views of the water. Parking can get crowded (I was there on a nice weekend afternoon) but it was well worth it to stop by!

Beautiful beach park with views of the Puget Sound. On a clear, sunny day, this is an ideal place to spend all day outside by the water. The Ed Munro Seahurst Park is located on the west end of Burien. I would highly recommend checking it out if you haven't visited before. We came here on a Saturday when it was sunny. Around the early afternoon, the place was already busy; yet, with how spacious the park is, it didn't feel crammed. We were easily able to find parking in the main parking lot on the upper end when you first enter the park. There is a small parking lot right next to the beach with a turn-around, ideal for drop-offs, but know that those spots get taken first. Get here early if you don't want to park on the upper end, as it's a walk up the hill from the beach. The park is big. There was a lot of space for us to claim a spot along the beach. We visited during low tides, which was ideal for our dog who isn't a swimmer, but she likes to gently put her paws in the water. And with the sun hitting the Sound, the shallow had water warm, which was nice to go barefoot in. We spotted a lot of crabs in the water and birds catching them for food. I just love how dog-friendly this park is, with many dogs along the shore and in the water! Because of the pandemic, the public restrooms were closed, but there was a handful of honeybuckets and a handwash station nearby the main entrance of the park. There was a playground area, as well as a few picnic shelters with BBQ grills. Throughout the park were trails in the wooded area that were easy to walk along, if you need a break from the water. We had a nice time here. I rarely am down in the Burien area, but I'm glad to have visited and learned about this park, which I'd come back to.

This park is really cool we love coming down here with and without our dogs. Great lil hill hikes to specially if you trying to get a workout on. So they have bathrooms here which are very clean. They have areas you can get to have family and friends over to bbq for any situation. They also have a lil kid park with swings and slides and fun stuff like that for the little ones. Beautiful place to get tons of amazing views for really good pictures. Take your dates on a nice walk thru the woods. They only bad thing is people are breaking into cars while you go to the park. So be aware and put all belongings away from a thief's view. It suck people gotta try to ruin google things. Just look alive. And they have tons of parking as well on the top lot. Bottom lot is smaller. Great trails thru the hills you can go through. Very dog friendly just make sure you keep them on a leash and do your part and clean the dog messes up. It's located back behind a residential area in burien. It's like a hidden gem. They have multiple ways to walk/hike thru the park. So please do your part and help keep it clean and enjoy your time here. It's a very peaceful place to go and relax to. Also no discover pass needed. And it closes at dusk so around 8.

What a beautiful park and so close to Seattle! I had looked up parks with tidepools and this was one of the ones that turned up - unfortunately we weren't able to come during low tide but it was still a great place to hang out. There's a long beach with lots of rocks, shells, etc to explore and great views. There is a playground that appears to be open as well. Most people were wearing masks so that was good to see. I think we'll definitely come back when it's low tide to see what kind of sea life we can find

Beautiful, serene, refreshing & gorgeous! I'd give the park 5 stars if there weren't so many rocks but you can regularly spot all sorts of wildlife - how exciting!

Love love love this beach! However, after recent break-ins (3 different occasions in the last month that I know of) in the middle of the day, I will not be visiting again. In our instance, no valuables left in the car and multiple vehicles at one time. If you don't want to pay for new windows, I'd suggest not visiting. Sad to not be able to enjoy the beach at low tide with my kiddos.

    Shows correct address of park!

Like most parks with a Sound view, this place offers plenty of natural beauty. The beach, that is mostly gravel & rounded stones, is narrow but long with lots of driftwood logs to sit on that add to the natural setting. There are 2 covered areas with about 4-5 picnic tables each, that can be reserved for larger parties. Also has another 10-15 standalone concrete picnic tables scattered along the path that runs the length of the park along the waterfront. Parking close by is limited with more in a second lot about a quarter mile up the road that is rather isolated & subject to higher security risks. Good place to view sunsets if that's in your interest. Nice place if you're in the area but wouldn't travel too far to get to this place.

This review is from August 2021…read more I've gone to this pool before COVID and it was so. crowded. Even though the pool is gigantic it felt like someone was swimming over and on me on every moment. Enter COVID. Now they have limited entry - with people able to go in for hour long sessions. It's great. I went for the noon session on a Tuesday. It takes about ten minutes to walk from the parking lot to the pool as a single adult - probably way longer if you have kids and a bunch of stuff. I got there at 11:30 and there were about ten people in front of me in an organized well marked line. Masks were required for entry until you got on the pool deck. The pool is split up into lap lanes and recreational swimming. The recreational swimming area is huge and spacious with the new people limitations. There are pool noodles, plus it is a salt water pool so a lot of buoyancy. It was extremely relaxing and one hour with not many people is actually quite a bit of time to be in a pool. It's right on the water - but note you can't see the water from in the pool but you can from the deck. And the stroll back is lovely too. All in all - a lovely time if you plan ahead and have the time!

When I joined I was simply told what my ten passes got me access to and what it didn't and handed the schedule. My PT has required me to use both a hot tub and do laps and stretching to help heal my lower back and hip problems and prevent surgery. Rainier Beach was closest to my home that had both, and 6 passes in, I've always been waved through and been given two wristbands--one for hot tub, one for laps because PT orders--on Tuesday and Thursday evenings, only time I can come. Tonight they let me randomly know that they would be charging me two passes at a time if I needed this therapy routine--I would be double-charged from here on to treat my injury. I told them then since this was the only pool with the facilities I needed for healing, and couldn't use other Seattle centers, I would need a refund. The supervisor seemed very proud to let me know that I could talk to their management about it, but they probably won't give me one. No apologies, nothing that sounded like sorry for the miscommunication that was going to take more of your money than you signed up for and were informed of. Just the appearance of: yeah that's not gonna happen, like they were better than me. This was the final straw though, where, refund or not, I cannot go back. The first issue I had was my second time there ever, where a male swimmer I was sharing lanes with kept tapping me, getting too close and came up fast behind me and ran into my feet. It scared me, so I asked the lifeguard to reinforce rules. She made an excuse for him when he wouldn't listen. This was not a teen swimming; he was about 6'5. So instead of doing her job by reinforcing the rule, the lifeguard said "there are lanes over there," for me to move instead of him. I didn't let it slide though, but then it just got worse while I was trying to stand up for myself. I went to other staff members and a supervisor. Next thing I knew they were all standing around in a circle, excluding me, in silence, like they hoped it would fizzle out. They just stood there, together, quietly, and the issue of my not feeling safe suddenly didn't seem to exist to them. I couldn't believe what this looked like from the staff, overall (maybe misogyny and group stonewalling...?). I confronted them again, this time saying I couldn't believe they were not tending to this. They seemed to finally realize this wasn't going to go away. So what did they do?: One of them went to the man and had HIM take care of it. They didn't enforce the rules, they went to him shrugging and forced me to talk to the man face to face, instead of enforcing personal boundaries I was asking for. He luckily was extremely apologetic, but he also didn't know what to do because-you guessed it- IT WASNT HIS JOB. It was THEIRS. His apology helped, but obviously I was so freaked out I needed to speak to the person in charge to let them know their staff didn't know how to handle these situations and how unsafe this was. And... it just got EVEN worse. This person in charge literally asked me to show him the rules posted by the pool like he had never seen them before. I READ THEM TO HIM. Folks, I was in so much shock, I think my IQ dropped that moment. I knew right then that as a single woman, maybe a woman in general, I was not safe there. And if I came back I would have to constantly be on edge. He kept gaslighting me and his argument was that the man had apologized and that a brush or an "accidental touch" was not a big deal. He also avoided any professional apologies himself. They had the swimmer do all the work for them. I've already been persevering every time I go back after that instance, always watching over my shoulder in case, but after tonight now they want extra money I don't have that was never explained nor before implemented- because of a routine I need for preventing surgery.. It's not a choice--I CANNOT go back. For dignity and a sense of safety. And offering another location is no excuse for this disrespect for folks who are just trying to take care of themselves. I'll miss it; it's beautiful~only reason not 1 star.

Not terrible. The staff at this location are always very friendly and kind to the kids. I think we were spoiled when we first enrolled, as my daughter seemed to be the only one at the level she entered into. That was amazing. Basically a private 30 minute lesson. When she moved up, there were 3 other kids in her level and with a class of 4 my daughter gets maybe 10 minutes of actual time in the pool. The rest they all sit shivering on the edge waiting their turn. I will say that, by no fault of BSS, their location -LA Fitness- is awful. We have had several lessons be moved to their other location at WS Athletic club (which is annoying because parking there sucks) because the pool heater was busted and another time recently where they just had to cancel because the pools chemicals were out of whack. For the most recent cancellation, they did write a formal apology to parents and refunded us the cost of the class, which was really top notch. We'll see how it continues. If they have a reliable pool I think it's an okay program. I just don't see my daughter progressing very quickly and I don't know if that is because she doesn't get much actual time in the water each week, or her own stubbornness at not listening or wanting to do what she is supposed to do.
