The reason we chose Ecoworkz is that two of my neighbors on my street had their front yards completed by them. The first was a few years ago, and it still looks as good as the day she had it done. My second neighbor had his done a few months ago, and it looks fantastic. I desperately needed my backyard renovated, so we decided on artificial turf/grass, burgundy lava rock planters, and a few feet of concrete. The company did a lot of work at my house, and now the front yard wires have gone bad, and one of the step pavers is sinking into the ground. I tried to figure out how to replace the wire and found out they did not put a conduit. The only way to fix the wires is to lift the whole turf. they are more expensive than other contractors, and I was not expecting they would cut corners like that. If I could give negative stars I would. The contractor shows up to pick up his deposit check. Then you never see him again. He texts to give the progress payments to his so called foreman. The workers they hire are inept. They don't know masonry. They were hired to build a block wall. It looks so bad that I have to either paint it or stucco it. They went into our tool storage and used OUR tools to do their work. The workers damaged our property in several areas and they denied it. They never finished the job. Contractor is 'out of town' and is always surprised that his workers are not getting work done. A job that should have taken two weeks, took a month. The work is substandard but the prices are not. The contractor does not supply facilities for their workers, so who knows where they do their business. The contracts they have you sign has legalize that tries to intimidate a homeowner and it means nothing. read more

When the drought started, we did our part and conserved...we even turned off the water to the yard. Now part of me kind of wishes we hadn't since the Yorba Linda Water District didn't make enough money this year and now will be tripling everyone's' bills to make up for it but I digress! My point is our backyard was a mess and with El Nino coming plus a brand new puppy that EATS dirt, we had to do something. So we consulted Yelp and called a bunch of places to come out for bids. Ecoworkz Synthetic Grass is who we went with and they did a gorgeous job. They saved our surviving tree, routing one pipe of our drip system to it, then covered it with industrial grade artificial turf and laid pavers down one side of the grass along our fence to close a gap that we had. They expertly cut around our air conditioning unit, covering up an area where dogs seem to like digging and they removed a stepping stone between our two patios which didn't make sense anyway. The results are amazing. Our yard looks fantastic and my little Frankie as well as her best dog friend Bo (big black lab) have lounged around on the grass for hours, played like they've never played in a yard before and gone potty on it (which was really easy to clean up based on the thickness of the grass since it just sits right on top). The price was very reasonable too. We received an estimate from a company that rhymes with Bindoll-Fit-Correct and they initially were $2,200+ OVER what we paid with Ecoworkz and they weren't going to do the paver work! We couldn't be happier that we went with Ecoworkz. 5 stars for them and they are Woohoo! As good as it gets!. read more

We had pavers done in our yard several months ago. Our first contact was with Dave, and he was great. He sealed the deal for us and we were excited to move forward. Then came the work and the crew. This is where the 5 stars dropped to 2. Some days they were here, some days they weren't. They were sloppy, loud, would leave the gate open unnecessarily (we had dogs) and had to remind them to shut it repeatedly. They did not sand the pavers properly and there were gaps where we had to tell them after the work was done to redo it, which they did. But my husband did not like repeatedly telling them how to do their jobs nor to clean up after themselves. Chipped pavers. Messy clean up. Spraying down the area to clean it but would leave a mess in a different area. For example, one of the crew members hosed down the direct area he was working on and left the dirt and leaves in another area, specifically the walls and my dogs water bowl! And then to top it off, on the last day, one of the crew members used the power washer to THOROUGHLY wash his truck with our water! He was using it for at least 10 min as I watched in horror remotely via surveillance cameras. WTH. I restrain from posting the pics of that.!! My husband said he brought it to the attention of Dave, but all he could do is apologize. Not much he could do about the ill mannered workers, and it's not his fault. I wasn't going to leave a review but I just saw the water bill for that period and it had increased dramatically! We were considering artificial turf through them but not anymore. He took measurements and went over ideas for the backyard, but I have not heard back from him or the company in over a month. Look at the photos I posted from the last few pages They installed a 400sq putting green for me, after the installation there were problems with the drainage and uneven surfaces in some areas, I contacted the sales man, it took them 15 days to get some one out here to fix the problem, and this was after 7 calls and more than 12 messages I have made... At the end they changed me for fixing the drainage, I didn't want to waste anymore time on this and either did I want to wast any more of my time to contact them again, so I paid cash for it. In conclusion, poor quality of work and customer service, but awesome sales because they make you believe all their lies about quality of work and quick response of customer service to get your money in their pockets. read more

After leaving 2 messages, Tom got back off vacation and returned my call. Came out Thursday morning for an Estimate (10/4). Tom said I would have the Estimate by the end of the day. That never happened. Friday came around, then Saturday, finally today. No call from Tom and no estimate! I can only assume the indifference is because my front yard is small and my back yard has already been done. Unless you have a big project, I guess its a waste of their time. From beginning to end, we had a very pleasant experience with Ecoworkz. My wife and I wanted to wait a couple of months before pulling the trigger on artificial turf but our interaction with Dave sealed the deal for us. During our quote he wasn't pushy one bit. In fact, he recommended that we wait a few days before making our decision and to shop around for prices. It was because of those things we were more at ease in selecting Ecoworkz. In fact, we didn't even shop for a second price and chose them that night. My wife and I are the type to spend the extra money for quality and piece-of-mind versus dealing with the second-guessing. I hate telling myself "I should've spent the extra money" after the fact. The demo/installation crew were equally great. Instead of guessing what we wanted, the crew knocked on our doors/windows and made sure they asked us what we wanted. I've had constructions job where the crew would force their opinions on us. I hate that - I am paying for a service and should get what I want. Unless I asked for it, not once did the Ecoworkz crew force their opinion on me. They were very thorough in what they did. My backyard was a two day job and at the end of the first day, they left my backyard in the same condition as they found it. Anyone going through construction on their home can appreciate this. I originally started a large project in my back yard with another company but after 4 months of a torn up back yard and nothing complete, I contacted Tom. Ecoworkz had put in synthetic grass a few years ago in my front yard. I didn't realize they also did Pavers or I would have contacted them instead of the this other company. To make a long story short, after I signed the contract with Ecoworkz, they fixed the pavers put in by the other company, added more pavers and the synthetic grass. I was so happy with the process.
