They gave us a very fair price for a new 50 gallon gas water heater. After looking them up and reading others reviews, we decided to use them. Easy choice actually. They never came back to do ANYTHING with either after they got installed. Not even so much as a phone call to check my satisfaction with it. Until about 6 months ago (about 2.5 yrs after install). They came and replaced the filters on the osmosis system and still showed no interest in the softener. I had to ask the service gentleman to check it because it hadn't been checked or serviced since installation. He went and checked settings and that was it. I still deal with itchy dry skin to this day, Nov. 18th, 2025. The guy that installed it, hooked it up in a way that I have/had to shut off the valve to bypass it any time I wanted/want to water my lawn. Because he didn't separate the system from the outside faucets. I did not contact them about the lack of service. Because they are the service provider and come up with the contract. Therefore, I should not have to provide them a reminder call. Despite all of this the monthly rental fee has continued to increase from $78.11 in Dec. 2023 to $93.67 Nov. 2025. I contacted them and wanted to cancel my rental agreement about two months early and was informed that there would be an early cancellation fee of $200. I chose to go ahead and wait. I contacted them again after it expired and was then informed that there would be a $200 handling fee. Don't understand this one! Because it is their equipment and I do not recall her saying anything about the handling fee on our previous communication. Only the mention of the early termination fee. Probably in their fine print somewhere though. Need to get an equipment pick up scheduled again as the first scheduled time did not work out for me. NO, I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THEM!

They get away with it, because how many of us know about these things, unless you do it for a living or have someone in your life you can give you guidance. So you cross you fingers and hope for the best. I got some advice from someone who I trusted to not steer me wrong, I needed to get a water softener, and I am glad for the advice I received. JP Plumbing installed the water softener and gave me very good advice on how to maintain it, you don't have buy all that fancy salt with additives (i've never had one before). After they left, I noticed my hot water wasn't running in once of the bathrooms, I called and they came right back. Turns out the pipe froze, they fixed it and did charge extra for coming back or an arm and a leg for fixing something they did not come to fix in the first place. I now have a plumber that I trust, call them first for all of your plumbing needs. They will not overcharge you, try to upsell you or leave your house in a mess (as another company did one of my friends) and by all means NEVER call the people they tell you to call when your plumbing is hurtin', call JP Plumbing instead.

The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. They did not sell me on any additional service plans but did guarantee their service for a year. (There is a 4% for credit card transactions.)

I had had my Mini CT countertop baby for well over two years when I finally managed to crush the mechanism to tighten the lid; I had been severely (and ignorantly:) over-tightening the top every day for two and a half years when it finally began to protest my treatment. Spoke to Karl, who diagnosed the problem in a minute over the phone with a little help from a quick pic. He said I could send it to him and he'd fix or replace it. I of course expected to be charged since I had inflicted the damage. But it came back all perfect again-- with a 0.00 dollar invoice! During those 18 or 19 days without my machine (took USPS a full two weeks to get the lid from NYC to NE), I felt as though I was drinking from the toilet. You need this (100% AMERICAN-MADE) machine, even if you don't know it ;) My dad used to tell me to make the investment for quality tools: "You don't save money on tools; you spend money on tools-- which will save you money." Not only was it worth every penny, but has paid for itself several times over by now, saving us the 2 bucks a gallon for commercial distilled water in toxic plastic jugs-- as well as all the time and bother going to the store and carrying gallons of water back to the apt. God bless Pure & Secure for making an excellent and rather important product, and standing behind it like a good old honest business which makes something that helps people in the most basic and vital way. We had paid electricians and engineers to see if there was a problem with outlets or they could figure out. Customer service doesn't care. Nothing gets resolved and it's a lot of money to be ignored. Save yourself lots of hassle do not buy. They suck. They should have people be able to facetime with you or send someone out to help or replace faulty unit. They just hope you go away but the product is unreliable, pain in ass.
