I had a great experience with Advantage Plumbing. Through Yelp, I requested help for a toilet and shut valve replacement. (The toilet has been having intermittent issues and needs replacement.) They immediately connected with me and offered to come out the same day (but I still had not gotten the new toilet.) We scheduled for the day after, and they were here by the promised time. The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. I think it is always a bit difficult to find plumbing services as there are typically so many to choose from you don't know where to start. We were very happy with the service we received at advantage plumbing. I called on a Monday and someone came out on Tuesday. The job we needed done was pretty small and took less than an hour. The first hour cost us $98 in labor. Our plumber, TJ was very friendly and I appreciate little courtesies he did such as taking off his shoes. It certainly wasn't anything I asked him to do, but still a wonderful courtesy. The parts and labor are guaranteed for one year which is also reassuring. He also noticed a previous repair attempt that might have caused difficulty and was able to prevent a problem. Most important to me is that the company is honest. I called Advantage Plumbing because water was backing up in a basement floor drain when I ran the shower so I knew my mainline must be clogged. I was told the price would $105 for the first hour and $52.50 for each 1/2 after that and they would charge a $35 trip fee. Two plumbers arrived on time but did not have the equipment to snake a drain. They apologize and left. They came back in a reasonable amount of time with the equipment required. The job was finished in about 50 min. I was given a bill for $225. $15 was for a new cap on my clean out, that seemed reasonable but it was still 50% more than I was told. They charged an extra $25 for the equipment and then charged me $150 for 1 hour of labor. Seem like a total scam. I called them to snake a drain they new it would require equipment but didn't mention the additional $25. They flat out lied about the rate I would be charged. Do not use this company unless you want to pay a lot more than they quote you. read more

We initially called to get an estimate for replumbing our kitchen. We had planned on having all of the plumbing replaced in our entire house next year, as it is all original to our 1960's ranch. However, our kitchen sink stopped working completely. We assumed the pipes to the sink would need to be replaced, and had planned to just take care of all the piping in the kitchen at that point instead of waiting until we were ready to complete the entire house. Mike came out and diagnosed the problem as being much more simple than what we thought it was. He was able to get me on their schedule for two days later. Aaron fixed the problem in less than 20 minutes. Since the hourly charge is not prorated, he asked if I had anything else for him to check while he was there. There was not, but he did give me a lot of information in regards to what I need to know when we do our remodel / replumbing next year. He was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He had a lot of tips for keeping the plumbing in good working condition as well. We will definitely use Advantage when we are ready to redo the whole house plumbing! read more

Would not recommend this company nor will I ever use them again. Our hot water heater went out and the pilot light would not re-light. We called Advantage and they came out and said they had it lit but then it went out again shortly after they left. Came back out again and initially charged us for another trip but after we complained they refunded it. This time he replaced the thermocouple(and charged us for one) but said it still wouldn't light and that there was a small chance it was the valve but they had a feeling we needed a new water heater and gave us pricing for one. We had another plumber come out and replace the valve and that wasn't the problem so they put ANOTHER new thermocouple in and said that was our problem all along and our water heater worked. I don't think Advantage even replaced it to begin with or installed it wrong and charged us over $150. And then we had to to pay the 2nd plumber to do it right. read more

All I can say about Advantage Plumbing is that they were much better than my expectations. Scheduling was a breeze, Aaron arrived when I was told (even if late, I do realize that with plumbing service work, they could have jobs that run unexpectedly long). Even though he was on time, he still called to let me know he was on his way. He fully explained everything he was doing and why the part that was being replaced usually goes out. (I did Google the symptoms I had so had an idea going in what the possible problems were, he did not try to sell me unnecessary things) Very reasonable on the billing. As an added bonus, my puppy (well, my 11 year old puppy) liked him. I just had some repairs done by these guys and they were amazing! I called and a person actually answered the phone 1st time. She was very nice, polite, and very helpful in scheduling the service as soon as possible. The plumber called me in advance to coming over which was great. He was also very nice and on time and was able to fix the leak very fast. The cost was actually less then what I expected which was a pleasant surprise. If I could give Advantage Plumbing more stars I definitely would. Had a bath tub drain break and leak into the garage. Called Advantage Plumbing and the owner said he had an opening and would send TJ out to look at the problem and fix the problem. TJ was out within 1/2 hour after calling and I instantly knew I was in good hands - sometimes you just have a feeling about these things. This was a tough job with very little space and clearance for the plumber to do the work. TJ did an excellent job on the repair, went over what he had done and checked for my satisfaction. I was very impressed with the positive attitude of TJ and I feel that I have finally found a plumbing company that I can trust to get work done for a reasonable price. I don't post much on Yelp...
