The team quickly removed their shoes at the front door without being asked (not my general experience with many repair teams) and started working. They finished almost precisely at 90 minutes despite a minor complication. (The basement/toilet drain was not draining well which they augered out.) It was explained to me that it was likely a combination of time and a 20-year-old toilet (which did not generate enough force). Other than minimal dust and grime, they did not leave any bigger messes for me to clean up. They were professional, and their price was well aligned with other companies. Three minutes later, multiple confirmations via text and email were sent to verify that the address and time selected were correct. The plumber arrived about 45 minutes after the time window opened. We asked for shoe covers, which he put on. (That has not been our experience, even when we insist.) He confirmed our suspicion that the tank needed to be replaced. After a brief outing, he came back with parts. Our original estimate was $379, but there needed to be a support bracket, which he strongly recommended that he add. (Our old one was hanging unassisted parallel to the ground.) The final total was under $500, including tax. Other than some crumbs of pipe dope, there was no mess. So far, everything is working well.
