I was referred to Major Drain, and had a good experience working with them to fix my toilet which was running constantly. Unfortunately, it was a $1500 fix in the end, as many of the stops in my house were rusted and broken, so the water had to be shut off in my yard in order to fix all of these. The plumber was very detailed, and communicated every facet of the issue with me well. He called in help and had another plumber install the toilet while he worked in replacing hardware, so it didn't take too long. Although it was not fun to deal with a larger-than-expected fix, both guys did a great job and were very friendly and professional. Had Omaha Drain out on Monday for a clogged drain. They claimed they couldn't fix it and instead quoted me almost $8k to excavate and replace the pipe. I sense tom foolery, so got a second opinion from Major Drain the next day. They sent Trent out who was polite, professional, hard-working, and friendly. We talked while he worked and got the drain cleared and did a great job of cleaning up the area after he was done. Can't recommend them enough. They were the most reasonably priced. They were able to come out same day. Gave an estimate up front when I made the appointment. I think it was about $300 the first time they came out. They could only get 60 ft through the pipe and said we needed the video and gel super-blast something. They were able to schedule almost immediately but we had to wait for my son's payday (it's his house). He did warn us that it would most likely keep flooding because there were just too many roots and debris in the line. He was right. Lasted 2 days and started backing up again. They did the video thing which was included in the gel super-blast thing. They gave an estimate of $600 total and that's what it was. Plus $45 tax. They estimated 2 hours and they were done in about 1-1/2. Their rates run 'x' dollars for first hour and then $30 per 15 minute increments but when I compared to other places, this still turned out to be best price. They NEVER went over the estimated time so wasn't charged anything extra. They were professional and stayed within the estimated time and money. What really impressed were 2 things..... 1. They aren't 'we can do it all'. One person specialized in the first main snaking. The gel super-thing was done by 2 guys and that's what they specialize in. So, the same guys don't do everything. I really liked that. Not ... knowing a little about a lot of things but knowing their one specialty. 2. The other thing that really impressed me when the guys did the super-gel thing was they discovered there were small cracks in several places in the main line. Did they say OMG YOU HAVE TO GET IT FIXED NOW! Nope. He marked the driveway, curb and street where the problems were. Gave me an estimate which was, again, the best that I've seen. But, most impressive? He said it's not a right-now-emergency but could definitely wait a few years. THAT was impressive. Because he could have said it needed to be done immediately. So ... very honest. And he explained the entire process and how long each step would take when we have that done. Not only did they email receipts for each job but also sent an estimate for the pipe repairs. And, it will be a different team that does that work because that's their specialty. I was very impressed with the entire process from start to finish. I researched 5 different companies and their rates, overall, were the best. Most companies were almost double. We are definitely going to continue to use them as we need to. I would 100% recommend them based on our experience. read more

Had a clogged floor drain in my basement. When i called to make the appointment they were very patient while i asked lots of questions how how they charge and what to expect during their sevice appointment. They showed up right on time. They took the time to explain the estimate Clearly communicated their findings, concerns and possible remedies thoughout the service appointment. The technician took time to answer all my questions and explain how the drain was piped. Fast and honest service! I had a quote from another company to clear a line that was causing food scraps from our kitchen disposal to backup in our basement sink. Was told it would be $560 to hydro jet from the the basement sink to the main line, then they said we should Hydro jet from the kitchen down to make sure it's clear (another $560). I thought that sounded strange. Why would we need to do the kitchen down when everything was obviously making it to the basement sink, then getting stuck there? Called Major drain and they gave me a rough estimate over the phone. They could have sent someone out that same day, but I was busy so they sent someone out the next day. The tech said they would never Hydro jet a small line because you could blow it out, and doing it from the kitchen down was pointless because water is already making it down there. So he snaked it in an hour. It was $192 instead of $1100. Definitely glad I went with Major Drain! read more

Major drain replaced the sewer line under the cement basement floor as well as the connection to the outside sewer line. A big job! They provided superior video documentation, explained the repair process, showed up on time and did quality work for a reasonable price. My only complaint is the cement dust from sawing created a real mess. The crew had assured us dust would be sucked up and directed out a window. John and the Major Drain team did an amazing job with our plumbing/drainage issue, and we could not be more happy with the results. We submitted a request for a quote over Yelp, within an hour they'd already replied with their pricing and availability, and even though we were not at all in an emergency situation, they still came out the very next morning and fixed everything perfectly. We have little kids, so we specifically requested a notice when they were on the way, and not only did the office call ahead to ask us for permission to move our timeframe a bit earlier in the day (which works fine for us) but then John also took the time to call and let us know when he was 10 minutes out. The communication and reliability from everyone at Major Drain was incredibly appreciated! Once John got to our house, he looked at the issue, immediately knew what was wrong, and in less than an hour he'd bought the items needed and resolved our issue for us. Most of all the thing that really stuck out to me was the quality of service. John didn't just fix the leaky drain in question, he also ran the washing machine through all its cycles after fixing the drain to make sure the issue was fully resolved. Once again, Major Drain to the rescue! We were in need of having our basement drain fixed and quickly called Major Drain - about 3pm in the afternoon. A very nice and efficient woman assessed our need, recognized us as previous customers, apologized for not having anyone for that afternoon, and gave us an appointment for the next morning. Saw lots of positive reviews for Major Drain on Yelp, so when I came home to a backed up basement drain I decided to give them a shot. 10 yrs ago had some major sewer issues and dealt with multiple drain cleaning companies....they all SUCKED compared to Major Drain Positive points - fast response...called around 6PM and had a tech here before 7 - fast work ... finished work in less than an hour - excellent rate (similar to rates I was paying 10 yrs ago) - thorough -- tech used a 160 ft pipe cable/snake, and spent sufficient time to verify drains flowing clear. First of all, the office is very responsive and had the plumber out in very good time. Working with only one toilet can be an issue now and then with a full house and the company prior to MD was just trying to sell a new toilet. Second, the plastic ring was cracked and causing leaks, super simple to fix and reset the toilet. There was no need to be days without a second toilet. I've got to update my review, called yesterday 5/19 for a clogged kitchen sink, Major Drain said they'd be out between 3 and 4. Close to 4 I was called to be told their plumber had gotten hung up on another job and would not be able to make it and rescheduled for 5/20. Completely understand that these things come up and there's not much that can be done sometimes. Appt for today was supposed to be from 5-6p, it's now quarter past 6p and I've gotten no call and nobody showed up. Call to Major Drain went to their answering service. As impressive as the company was the first time I used them it has been equally unimpressive this time. Splitting the difference and going with a 3 star rating, will update if things improve. I had Major Drain out a couple of years ago when my regular plumber couldn't get come. I had a huge flood in my basement due to a plugged mainline drain. It appeared to be caused by wipes. I told the plumber that we didn't use wipes, but he didn't believe me. I asked why we would have wipes plugging up our drain when we didn't use them, and he said, "Because you do." Major Drain was out three times in four days. Cost me a fortune. The plug was not removed. The company did not give me any warrenty on the work, so I had to pay each time they came. I was in the middle of a renovation in basement bathroom. Had to turn off water to vanity and tried the knob. Broke. Had to turn off main water. We have an annual contract with a plumber and called. I don't want to include it here, in case someone confuses Major Drain with Burton, but you can see the photo on the Burton Yelp page. Beware! Burton will rip you off. My kitchen sink was clogged, and despite paying a $9.95 monthly fee to be on their service contract, they could not send anyone to my home until the next day. When the guy arrived, he looked at the kitchen sink, then wanted to see the laundry room and bath close by. He went to the basement, then out to his truck for half an hour. Came back in with a folded up estimate. We sat down and he tried to sell me one of 6 "solutions". 1. Premium Plus Solution: $3,210.81 2. Premium Solution: $1,584.89 3. Standard Solution: $$1,075.76 4. Basic Solution: $628.45 5. Economy Plus Solution: $451.22 6. Economy Solution: $148.20 I told him to leave. I didn't want a Burton "solution". I needed them in a jiffy and they were the only plumber I called that had same day availability. The plumbers (there were two), were friendly enough and helped me understand where the problems arose. They missed my call on a Friday afternoon, but promptly called back within minutes to set up a time on Saturday morning for a plumber to fix my drain. I honestly wasn't expecting such a fast turn around time. Come Saturday morning, the plumber showed up right on time and fixed everything in a matter of minutes. And it wasn't just a job I should've done myself -- I gave it the old college try but to no avail. Prices were reasonable at a little over $130 an hour. Major Drain was extremely professional, honest and transparent throughout the process. When one of their plumbing auger machines broke, they stopped the clock to fix so I wouldn't be charged for the time. They were very thorough and inspected their work. My basement floor drain had backed up so I hired another plumber who came out and only put a camera in the Main Stack and told me the clog was clear and water flowing and tried to sell me another service called descaling for $2500 because he said that probably caused the clog. I declined. At that time, I hired a restoration company to come clean the mess and coincidentally decided to take a shower before they came (again the first plumber told me the clog was cleared) and discovered the floor drain backed up again, obviously there was still a clog. Apparently the first plumber did not thoroughly do his job and look at the 2nd Main Stack which was clogged and caused the back up. read more
